Mr. Gao Restaurant 高老庄
We had lunch at large table with nice dishes and unbelievable price. Mr Gao restaurant keeps service delicious foods with good service, it not easy to suvive and service with reasonable price after COVID, wish the business could get better and service more clients in the future. The restaurant has special wood barbecue lamb, from whole to lamb kebabs, and mutton offal soup is delicious, must try. If you like dumping, Bun, there also different style to choose
I'm not usually a clam gal so was very surprised to find out I enjoyed the spicy clam noodle soup. Came here for the lamb skewers and they did not disappoint, so good! The dumplings tasted like they were homemade, which is still yummy but I probably won't get them again next time, can just get them from my fam. The complimentary dessert in the end was a really nice, refreshing wrap-up to the meal.
Noodle Wok
Went here today for the first time, and it was great. I got the shrimp wonton beef brisket soup, and it was delicious. The price is also pretty reasonable- especially for the portion. Employees were friendly and helpful. This place is also very clean and such a unique vibe. This restaurant is cash only but they have an ATM inside which only charges you $1.25 or $1.50- I forgot. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for great food and a menu you can actually enjoy looking at. I’ll be coming back very soon.
Been here a few times in the past. Consistent chinese food and the prices are still decent and not so expensive compared to other places. Place is a bit older in terms of looks and decor. Lots of great options to choose from. Attached is a video of pics on their wall about certain menu items. They also provide catering and have part trays offered. Ordered the yang chow fried rice, garlic shrimp, deep fried Tofu, mixed vegetable and garlic chicken for four adults for this review. Portions are huge and filled to the brim. All the items were good, but definitely oily. Had leftovers to take home. Service was quick, staff were polite and friendly. There is a pitcher of water and cups near the front counter for free. There is a washroom located near the back exit, but did not go in. Good place to go to for quick chinese food dine in or take out. Only hiccup is its CASH ONLY! No cards accepted.
Bao Shin Hakka
Halal!!! Tried the chicken Manchurian and it was ready within 10 minutes, adequately priced, and the portions were good!!! The lady that took our order was very nice. Will def try again :)
Their lunch special is a very good deal. They give big portions for $10 something and a free can of soda/pop. We ordered Chilli Beef and Manchurian Chicken and we loved the food. It’s not a dine in though, just take out only.
Yang's Braised Chicken Rice (Mississauga)
Chicken wings are well seasoned and crispy, I love the brown sugar sticky rice dessert. Tried the tomato noodle soup with beef this time, which comes with lettuce, tomatoes, mushroom, green onion and corn. It was a great portion and tasted good. Also tried the sour pickle veggie with fish noodle soup and coconut base noodle soup before, both were delicious too. Personally I'm not too crazy about the chicken, I just love coming back for the dessert and noodle soup. Parking: a bit hard to find parking up front, there is more parking near the side which is pretty dark, slippery and feels a bit far when it is cold. Interior: good atmosphere, attentive staff, only complaint is the carpet kept getting caught by the glass door, so the wind kept blowing in whenever someone entered/exits.
We ordered braised beef brisket with hand pulled noodle and Tomato crossing the bridge rice noodle soup and both are amazing
Asian Gourmet
Ordered Pad Thai (Chicken) Wasn't expecting much from a small mall's quick service food location, but I looked through their kitchen window and they got it done on their wok fast and fresh. Actually turned out pretty well. Not too heavy on flavour, wasn't on the heavy sweet/sour side, a hint of spiciness. Rice noodles nicely coated. Chicken was tender. Served hot.
Best Halal Chinese food for quality! You get the most bang for your buck! Lots of options to choose from, menu is extremely flexible, lots of combinations and very good price! Highly recommended!
Happy Lamb Hot Pot, Mississauga
We had a fantastic hot pot experience at Happy Lamb in Mississauga! The food was fresh, and the raw ingredients were well-stocked throughout our visit. The sauce station, hot food, and veggie selection offered a great variety, making it easy to customize our meal. The meats arrived in a timely manner, and the broths were flavourful—doing a split pot is a great way to enjoy multiple tastes in one sitting. Best of all, there was no wait time for an early dinner on the weekend, which made for a smooth and enjoyable dining experience. We’ll definitely be back for more!
The best hot pot. My 1st ever experience and this was so good. I really liked the customer service and the atmosphere. The chicken options were very less but other than that everything was perfect. The service was above the mark. Must visit ❤️💯
China Impression
I recently dined at China Impression, and it was a mostly enjoyable experience with some standout dishes. The Beef in Hot Sour Sauce had a nice tangy flavor, though the use of glass noodles seemed to cut back on the amount of beef, which was a slight letdown. Both the Cantonese E-Fu Noodle and Yangzhou Style Fried Rice were average and not dishes I’d particularly recommend. However, the Deep Fried Shrimp with Spiced Salt was phenomenal! The shrimp were fresh, perfectly crispy, and seasoned to perfection. Even the shells were so light and crunchy that you could eat them. This dish is a must-try! The Tilapia Fish with Mixed Mushroom & Tofu was another highlight. The broth was light and naturally sweet, and the ingredients were fresh and flavorful. A tip: ask for this dish to be served before heavier Sichuan dishes, as its delicate flavors might otherwise get lost. The Stir-Fried Intestines with Soy Sauce was delicious and paired wonderfully with rice—so much so that even the kids loved it! The Tofu with Assorted Meat was also excellent, with silky, tender tofu and bold, well-seasoned flavors. One minor downside was the wait time; dishes took about 10–15 minutes to arrive, which could be improved. Overall, China Impression is a great spot if you know what to order. I’ll definitely be back for their standout shrimp and fish dishes!
Always a consistently delicious dining experience. We love their northern Chinese cuisine with bold spicy flavours most recently their lamb stew which is perfect for the cold weather. Service is always friendly and attentive. Food always comes out fast and hot... Unless it's supposed to be cold! I haven't eaten here in a while I came with friends tonight and the food was just as good as always! We tried some new dishes tonight! All of them were delicious! Thank goodness we did not have to wait too long as the restaurant was fully packed when we showed up on a Saturday night.
Hakka Chow Express (Mavis)
I don't really know what just happened..lol This place shares a kitchen with an amazing srilankan restaurant.. So I thought to myself maybe it's similar cooks and they may specialise in hakka as well. ohh NO did I learn a lesson tonight ... What I was given was so weird that I had to call them back and say " hey I think i got the wrong food " this here is not garlic prawn and chilli chicken as I've known them anywhere else .. on arrival the guy who cashed me out was half asleep .. I get it ,you might have worked a long day we have all been there but you cannot do things like this. Complete waste and shocking because the lankan delights place is unbelievable in price and quality this hakka is hard NO in the future
The food here tastes and smells like non veg & awful here. We called for 2 veg dishes which were clearly cooked in non veg oil and it was not eatable at all. Had to return the entire food. And the awful taste was also no where close to Hakka Definitely never gonna order from here and please if you don’t want to waste your time, money & mood then don’t order anything from here.
Three Sheep Gourmet Foods 三羊美食
I have heard about this new Chinese pancake restaurant inside the Yuan Ming grocery store / mall next door to the delicious wonton place. The service is very friendly and helpful. I will say that the pancakes are indeed homemade. But the flavour profile and texture don’t jive with me. I didn’t like the different flavours and protein options such as leek and beef, chicken and mushroom etc. I found that the texture was affected by the amount of oil which made it off putting. The oily smell was overwhelming and it wasn’t pleasant …. I have had many pancakes before, and sadly enough; the version here is the least memorable for me. Happy eats everyone 😎
Food was average. Price was reasonable. Lamb noodle was good but too plain for my taste. I didn’t feel thirsty after the meal, they didn’t use a lot of msg in their food. Not really like the food court environment though.
Rapizza mavis
Visited after a couple of months. Bought rolls, patties, wada, pastries and fish buns. None of them were fresh or hot. Especially the patties tasted stale. We had to put them away. Prices are high compared to other restaurants. This was a go to place when we come to Mississauga. Will never come again. Avoid this place at all costs. Will warn my friends and family too.
If you’re looking for excellent Hakka food in Mississauga, then check out Hakka Chow. Heard from a friend that it’s a new take-out place and decided to try their food. And we loved it! Menu selection was great with lots of options for vegetarians too. This one’s a keeper, hands down!
