Jin's Mi-Fen (Authentic Hunan Style Rice Mifen) 津米粉馆
Small, cozy spot. Fast, flavourful food. This was my first visit to this location, as I usually visit the Ajax location. Service is extremely fast, I would estimate a 1-2min wait after putting the order in. Order by qr code provided at the table. There is little service unless you call them, for new water bottle etc. Imagine a food court style, where you order, get your food, and eat at the table on your own, however they do bring out the food for you. We had a large group today, total 10 people. My friend called in advance for them to save a spot for us. Food was flavourful, I got mild zhacai pork with extra pork and it was a good amount of heat. I forgot to add extra veg today. My companions had never tried Jin's before, and they all said it was good. Portions are very generous, and one of the options is extra noodles at no extra charge. I got my husband the triple beef in medium, he said it was quite spicy for his tolerance level. I got the black fungus pork for my daughter. I also got the demon egg and tofu for my companions to try, it is one of my favourite side dishes at Jin's. It is slightly spicy with a lot of flavour.
The portion sizes appear larger in the restaurant's photos. In reality, the protein portions are particularly small. The flavor is too rich and heavy-handed, which is overly salty and oily for our taste. On the positive side, you can customize your meal by choosing to have the broth with your noodles or on the side. Additionally, the restaurant offers free noodle refills, which is a nice touch. However, our experience was inconsistent, as one of our noodle dishes was piping hot, while the other was only lukewarm. The service is minimal and lacking, with little attention from the staff. The restaurant itself is small, seating only about 15-20 people. Parking is also limited, with a small free lot that may be full during peak weekend hours.
Ritzy Palace Chinese Cuisine
I would give this restaurant 3.5 ⭐ for dim sum. Food tastes decent, for reasonable portion sizes and prices. The restaurant decor is quite outdated and could use a renovation. Some of the set meals are a good deal, and are worth trying if you come in a group. Staff are also friendly. I was most impressed with the size and quality of their egg tarts. I sat in the room, and there was a very slight paint smell the day I went.
This place gets really busy, arrive before they open or you’ll have to wait 30-45 minutes for a table. You’ll get a number at the front booth and they will call it out - CASH ONLY!!! Great food, tasty and fresh to order. All arrived quickly, but it’s a little pricey in comparison to other dim sum restaurants.
QJD Peking Duck (Markham)Restaurant
We ordered $888 package. Food, overall, is good. The flavor is much richer and stronger than usual Cantonese cousin. If some dishes can be less flavorful, it will give another dynamic to the feast. My least favorite is the fish. It is the last dish, and the flavor is the same. I'm just kind of tired of it. The baked duck dessert less than 3 stars. The dough is heavy, and the red bean paste is a bit hard. Yet, the duck is very good.
Awesome Peking duck experience, I’d say one of the top 2 that I’ve been to in Canada for authentic Beijing style duck, almost comparable to China. Tip: if you get a full duck, you can take home the duck bones, add green onion + a bit of ginger for great duck soup! Overall the food here was good but I wouldn’t come back for anything other than duck. The service was alright - I’ve also been to the Mississauga location where I found the service was better.

Whether you’re a dim sum lover or trying it for the first time, Skyview is a must-visit. Highly recommend for a delicious and enjoyable dining experience!
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Skyview Fusion Cuisine in Markham, ON for a dim sum experience, and it was truly exceptional. Making a reservation a day in advance ensured that our party had a seamless dining experience, and from the moment we arrived, we were greeted with a warm and inviting ambiance. The restaurant's interior is beautifully designed, creating a perfect blend of modern elegance and traditional charm. The soft lighting, tasteful decor, and spacious layout contributed to a relaxing and enjoyable atmosphere. It's a great place to unwind and savor a meal with family or friends. As for the food, it was nothing short of spectacular. The dim sum offerings were diverse and expertly crafted, showcasing the culinary skill of the chefs. From the delicate shrimp dumplings to the savory barbecue pork buns, each dish was bursting with flavor and prepared with the freshest ingredients. The presentation of the dishes was also impressive, adding to the overall dining experience. One standout dish was the steamed rice rolls with shrimp, which were silky smooth and paired perfectly with the soy-based dipping sauce. Another favorite was the crispy taro puffs, which had a delightful crunch on the outside and a creamy, flavorful filling inside. The service at Skyview Fusion Cuisine was top-notch. The staff was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu, ensuring that our dining experience was enjoyable from start to finish. Overall, my dim sum experience at Skyview Fusion Cuisine was fantastic. The combination of delicious food, great ambiance, and excellent service makes it a must-visit spot for anyone in the area. Whether you're a dim sum enthusiast or new to this culinary delight, Skyview Fusion Cuisine will not disappoint.
Phoenix Restaurant
Came as a recommendation for the hainanese chicken rice and it did not disappoint! Boneless too. Rice was flavoured and the soup was peppery. Girlfriend was craving wings too and for a classic dish of HK wings fried fresh with fries, it hit the spot. Ying yang coffee was on the sweeter side but I ain’t complaining! Cash discount 😉
Chinese fast food restaurant. Decent price and portion. We did a walk in for party of 3. Wait time was within 15 mins. There is a cash promotion which is great and good is good. Will definitely go back.
Lucky Seafood House
Not a bad option for dim sum, especially considering the long line-ups at the restaurants just across the street. I imagine the location plays a role in this - it's a bit harder to see from Woodbine, and doesn't have a very flashy exterior. The inside layout is also a bit odd and isn't the most accessible especially for elders. That aside, the food is pretty good and the price is great. They are one of the few places I've observed that still offer pre-11AM deals. It is only $4.98 for S, M, L dishes before 11AM. This is an extremely good deal. Their portions are normal and the taste is authentic. I truly believe you cannot find cheaper dim sum in the GTA anymore. They have all the normal dishes but nothing too unique or special on the menu. The restaurant did fill up but it wasn't full the entire time we were there. When we first arrived at 9:30AM there were plenty of available tables. I can appreciate a restaurant with no wait these days. Our bill was around $150 I believe, for 10 people. Very very reasonable.
This is hands-down one of the best dim sum spots I’ve had in a while. Everything is made to order, super fresh, and packed with flavour. The selection is huge, and the best part? From 11:00am to 3:00pm, all small, medium, and large dishes are just $4.98! It’s an unreal deal—I honestly don’t know how they make a profit, but I’m not asking questions. If you’re a dim sum lover, don’t sleep on this place. I’m rooting for their success and will definitely be back while the promo lasts.
