Benab Family Restaurant
Using old oil & they don’t change oil on time & keep using old oil. Plus they are using expired chicken or buying cheaper chicken 🐓 It’s really bad for kids and adults
Ordered from here enough times... one my go tos. Any trip back to Mississauga, I must bring food home for everyone from here. I mix it up but generally I get fried chicken wings, mixed fried rice with bbq pork and chicken, jerk chicken with chow mein, pepper shrimp, etc. Don't forget the pepper sauce!! So so good.
Pho 99
Excellent food. We ordered squid with salt and pepper, Shrimp fried rice, deep fried rolls for appetizers. Servers will not bring you plates so you have to ask for it. And you pay the bill at the counter.
A good spot for comfort food. The staff is nice and tentative. The taste of the food is top notch. The facility is clean. A little odd they give takeout utensils when you dine-in. All the condiments are hidden but the employees do bring the staple condiments with before your meal.
Nam's Hakka Cuisine
Great experience with Nam's Kitchen! We went there for our Anniversary dinner. The food was delicious. They surprised us with complementary anniversary cake and a shout-out! It was a wonderful little surprise which made the experience extra special. Highly recommend for Indian Chinese food. Thank you team.
I recently dined at nam’s hakka, and it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming, with a perfect blend of traditional Chinese decor and modern touches. The menu offered a wide variety of dishes, each more tempting than the last. I tried the Kung Pao Chicken and Beef Chow Fun, and both were incredible. The flavors were perfectly balanced, with fresh ingredients and authentic spices that made each bite delicious. The dim sum options were equally delightful, especially the shrimp dumplings—steamed to perfection. The service was impeccable; the staff was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu, making excellent recommendations. The portions were generous, and the presentation was spot-on. Overall, nam’s hakka delivers not only amazing food but also a wonderful dining experience. Whether you're looking for a casual meal or celebrating a special occasion, this place is a must-visit. I'll definitely be coming back soon!
Chilli Chicken House
Tried Chilli Chicken House and went with the Manchurian chicken and Chilli chicken. Both dishes were decent, but they didn’t quite hit the mark compared to the original location in Mississauga. Still a solid spot if you're craving Hakka, but if you’ve been to the OG location, you’ll probably notice the difference. Giving it a 4/5.
Had a wonderful meal last night. Very flavourful wonton soup, Gen Tao chicken which comes with broccoli that is not overcooked, chicken & shrimps hakka noodles, and shrimp fried rice. I like the #2 spicy level. My husband had chilli chicken spiced how he likes it, #4. We had lots of left overs of everything to take home. Service was terrific!
Wok of Fame Restaurant
A Great Live Cooking Buffet Experience Wok of Fame offers a well-executed open buffet with live cooking, making for a dynamic and interactive dining experience. Dinner service starts precisely at 4:30 PM—so make sur you book and be on time, as seating won’t begin earlier. The highlight is the Mongolian-style live cooking station, where you select your proteins, vegetables and sauces before watching them flamed to perfection by a chef. The flavors are well-balanced, and the customization makes every plate unique. Seafood lovers will appreciate the massive tiger shrimp, available grilled, fried, or chilled. The weekend-only crab legs are on the smaller side. Mussels are decently spiced, but the sushi selection is limited and underwhelming. Save room for dessert—the variety is extensive, including a soft ice cream machine. The cappuccino ice cream is a must-try. Service is minimal but efficient, in line with the buffet style. Overall, a great spot for those who enjoy live cooking and variety. I’d definitely return.
Wok of Fame is an absolute must-visit for anyone who loves fresh, delicious, and diverse cuisine. From the moment you walk in, you're welcomed with a vibrant atmosphere, friendly staff, and an impressive variety of food options. Whether you're a fan of Asian cuisine, seafood, grilled meats, or fresh sushi, this place has something for everyone. The live cooking stations are a highlight—watching the chefs prepare your meal fresh in front of you is an experience in itself! The selection of meats, seafood, and vegetables ensures that every plate is customized to your taste. The buffet is well-stocked with a variety of options, from crispy tempura to mouthwatering stir-fries and an incredible selection of desserts. The restaurant is clean, spacious, and family-friendly, making it perfect for group gatherings and special occasions. The service is prompt, and staff members ensure that tables are cleared quickly. Overall, Wok of Fame is a fantastic dining experience that offers great value for money. Highly recommended!
King Asian
I’ve been a loyal customer of this restaurant for years, so I decided to order from their catering menu this Christmas. Unfortunately, it was a complete disappointment. The Cantonese Chow Mein was extremely dry and bland, but the worst part was finding two pieces of steel wool in the chicken wing tray. I spent over $200 on this order, and their idea of compensation was a mere $15 off my next party tray—a response that felt dismissive and unacceptable. The quality of both the food and the service has declined drastically, and I can no longer support this establishment. Moving forward, I’ll be taking my business to East Gate or any other Chinese restaurant.
This is the post I sent to Skip the Dishes about this: “How do I send you pictures of this insult? I spend $61 at 1am and they treat peoples money like a joke…??? How did they get a rating on Skip with an almost perfect 10 and then send this horrible disgrace out Note, Skip provided credits equal 50% of the cost…
HAKKA CHILLI
Just ordered from here and the food was bad. The noodles were oily and bland, no real taste of any ingredients or anything, seemed stale to an extent.the noodles smelt like it's been boiled and kept for far too long in a gunny bag or something. Smelt that weird. Chicken Manchurian also lacked flavour. Imagine, Manchurian lacked flavour, it's shocking. Added the photo of the menu for authentication. Just an update, up on tasting it further it seems the whole food was stale and had to throw it in the bin. The chicken too tasted stale and smelt bad. Happy to share photos. Congratulations!
I m not the person who want to give this kinda review however their food quality, quantity and the price made forced me to write. I ordered tandoori fried rice, it has more onions than other veggies I found not more than 5 pieces of paneer. The spice level was extra hot I can’t tolerate it. This was my first order and first impression turned into bad. I m not going to order food from this place anymore.
Hakka Ren - Hurontario
Please avoid at all costs and go to chilli chicken house instead. Don’t waste your money trust me This restaurant used to be good until it’s not anymore. The food is garbage. The service is even worse. The chilli chicken was watery with full of batter and hardly any chicken. The beef Manchurian was the same as well. The noodles had barely any flava as you can see absolutely no sauce. Chilli chicken house remains the number one spot. Also note that the takeout containers that they use is cancerous and of the cheapest possible quality. It is not four grade and it has harmful chemicals with hot food stored in it.
If you are expecting service then you should never visit this restaurant. I ordered a pick up and the soup containers melted with heat by the came I reached home in about 10 mins. When you call them then there is no apology but a question mark about my driving style. Must say they are very well trained how to annoy the customer. This restaurant is completely against Canadian values and should be avoided at all cost. Kudos to the management for running such a place.
Bashu Sichuan Cuisine
Great Sichuan spot in a prime location. Mandatory tipping. I have been to Bashu a few times. Their frog legs in garlic was delicious, but I ordered a steamed rice on the side and it was busy that day so I didn’t receive the rice until afyer I finished the frog legs. At which point I didn’t want it and sent it back. Also ordered the red bean pancakes, they came out first so they were cold once I was ready to eat them as dessert, still good though. Their mapu tofu lunch special was so good and very filling! Came with a nice hot and sour soup. Prices are a bit steep for some other dishes and they add a mandatory 12% tip even if you are eating one dish alone.
Haven’t been there ever since Covid. The taste is pretty good but the price went up a lot, like everywhere else. Also to clarify, the price doesn’t include gratuity and tips as per the cashier.
