Minico's Italian Restaurant
4/1/25 I get lots of DoorDashes from here and decided to stop in to give them a try. The food is absolutely amazing! I had the breaded mushrooms and a pepperoni pizza. Absolutely the best pizza I’ve found anywhere in central Ohio! Affordable as well! The mushrooms were fantastic, except a couple of the larger ones were cold in the center. Not a huge fan of square cut pizza either but it doesn’t matter. I’ll definitely be back for the food. The staff is always super nice and I love their unique decor. You have to stop in! 4/10/25 Came back in for dinner, had fried green beans and the Veal Parm dine in special. Had their new waitress, Mandy. Super sweet and very charismatic. She’s doing a fantastic job! The best wait staff I’ve had in a long time anywhere. The food was absolutely perfect! Definitely my new go to. This visit definitely made up for the slightly frozen fried mushrooms I had my first visit and earned them 5 stars all across from me. 4/11/25 Came back for lunch this time, the gentleman who waited on me was quite friendly, and the food was delicious. I had their Super sub and an order of their chicken wings. The quality of meats on the sub were above any of their competition and the sub roll was the perfect texture. The wings were perfectly seasoned and crispy. Love this place! All these carbs might not be the best for me but at this point I’m dedicated to working through the menu lol Only suggestion I’d make is for them to rethink the desserts, maybe do a terimisu or dessert pizza? Keep up the good work guys!
Have driven by for years, and finally was able to stop in! WOW!! This is worth it!! The nice crispy crust, cup pepperonis, and crumble sausage made the perfect combination. Not sure if the subtle hint of spice comes from the pepperoni or the sausage but it was just the right amount to not be overwhelming. Order was ready when the online portal said it would be, which is great on a busy Saturday night. Staff were very quick, efficient, and very friendly. 200/10 recommend, can’t wait to go back!
CJ's Soul Food
Food was really tasty especially the beef tips that had lots of meat on it. Overall the other food was a little salty. The way they take orders doesnt allow for hardly any modifications because it is electronic instead of written. Atmosphere was good except there was no soap in the ladies bathroom. They did have hand sanitizer outside the bathroom.
Partook in restaurant week 3 course meal to try more items and save a few bucks. The soul roll and crawfish etouffee were just okay but doubt I’d ever order those again. The peach cobbler was the standout of this meal. Would like to return to try some fish, chicken and dirty rice someday.
Jimmy V's Grill & Pub
We came on a Thursday around 6pm to eat on the patio. Just about every table was full, but we managed to get seated at one of the last tables. (There may have been open tables inside, but we had a dog.) The patio is dog friendly and they provide water bowls for dogs. You get to seat yourself. We ordered a Saganaki Cheese which they lit on fire and then squeezed a lemon over it. It was served with pita bread. This was good and the pita bread was soft and fluffy. We also got a mushroom burger. The veggies were very fresh and thick, which over powered the mushroom taste. The bun was great. Lastly, we got an Italian panini. Tastes exactly as expected. Our servers were super busy but were super nice and helpful.
The food was really good. Cool vibes in the setting of the building, its decor, and a fun college based atmosphere. The food was so good! It did take some time, but it was well worth it. We had the chicken nachos which were so big and full of delicious chicken and fixings that we had to take our meals home with us! Definitely can be a meal in itself. My husband got the Cuban which was thickly cut on grilled bread and I got the gyro platter. The meat was tender and flavorful and the tzatziki sauce was definitely homemade! The fries are KILLER. Reminds me of a yummy fair fries. Our waitress was very nice and friendly. I didn’t get her name, but she was a bit older with glasses. She was working her butt of making sure our food was right. She let us sample a new sauce they were trying out and it was yummy! Really the only point off for atmosphere is for some reason halfway through our meal they turned the volume up on the music and it was so loud I could barely hear our waitress. Sorry I forgot to take a picture of the Cuban and Gyro platter on the plates we were so excited to try them out! Would come back again whether you like mediterranean food or not, the selection is plentiful. A little on the pricier side, but delicious.
Tula Taqueria
We got a quesorito with no meat, and it was absolutely delicious but so small! Their queso is super yummy as well, but it’s a small amount for the regular. But honestly it’s probably the best queso I’ve ever had. Also, the guy who checked us out was extremely rude, so that’s not cool.
Don't forget the salsa. They put on the receipt that you chose a salsa but they won't give it to you if you order to go. You have to serve it yourself yet they will hand you the food like everything is good to go but not actually inform you that you have to get your own salsa yourself. So then what was the reason for the two-dollar tip? I drove 20 minutes home to find out there was no salsa like on the receipt requiring me to drive back down to the location. An hour and a half after I picked up my order I was finally able to eat my burrito with the salsa. Unfortunately my burrito was mostly cold by then. There is nothing telling you to get your own salsa and no signs for it either. The register is right up front and the salsa is hidden along an inner wall.
WuKong Express
Don’t be fooled by the “express” in their name. The table service is great and the food is tasteful. I recommend you try the teas and their fried Korean chicken. The vegetarian options on the menu are limited, but they are very accommodating with customers.
I was first biased against this place because I don’t always have the best experiences with restaurants with the word express in the name. But boy was I wrong about this place. This place is a jack of all trades. They have “authentic” ramen, boba tea, Korean fried chicken, and more. The restaurant is very clean and spacious inside, and very quiet. A little too quiet that you wish they played some music. The employees were very nice and very attentive. I first ordered the crab Rangoons and Takoyaki, both very good. The Rangoons were probably the best-presented ones I’ve ever had. The ramen was good, and I’m glad I ordered it there because the server notified me that my choice was spicy even though it didn’t have a pepper label next to the name. I also ordered one with a pepper label next to it and that one probably needed five peppers next to the name it was so spicy. I ordered boba tea during the meal, planning for it to be made by the end, but they brought it immediately, this place is so efficient. This was definitely my top three boba teas that I’ve had. They put slices of orange, strawberry, lemon, and lime in them and it makes it taste super floral and citrusy it’s amazing. I still need to try the Korean fried chicken but I will be more than happy to come back here.
GENJIGO
Chicken+steak bowl, Fried rice, all vegetables. 3 soy sauce packets (Kikkoman brand) and 1 Sriracha (Texas Pete). Outstanding! The meat was moist and tender, the rice was moist, not one single crunchy piece of uncooked rice! I'm full, but not overfilled. All 3 juice choices were great, however I prefer the tea. Thank you very much, I will be back! The bathroom sign is hilarious!
I was surprised when then I was told to pick 1 vegetable!! So I got 1 chicken and zucchini and 1 chicken and mushroom. I asked if this was because I ordered the kids meal and was told "No, you get choice of" so I see all these bowls and am wondering if people really spend $20 per bowl to add more vegetables??? The person waiting on seemed par for the course - high school kid, he did say have a good night, so that was good. Not exceptional- either way. I was there at Noon and no one was eating inside. I passed someone getting takeout 🥡 on my way in. The taste was good, 3 or 4 slivers of carrots and a teaspoon of egg in the fried rice. The yum yum sauce was okay- not as good as most hibachi places but good. Most of the dish was rice. It was a try for us which is why we got the kids meal portion. (No drink included). Overall, I'm glad we didn't spend more. I am not sure I would return on a regular basis, which is sad because they could really corner the market- but with Lucky House diagonally across the parking lot from them- we can split a family meal for the same cost and get and egg roll, shrimp toast and crab Rangoon, and the same meat portion with more vegetables and fried rice that had more "stuff" in it.
Great Asian Restaurant
The restaurant seemed fine, and the food was decent. However….. they gave us a small thing of rice each. Both our dishes were mostly vegetables. I felt like I was on a diet I didn’t ask to be on. The meals were 65% vegetables. I’d rather have more meat.
This is our favorite restaurant. The food is superb; more importantly, it is ALWAYS superb, every single time. The hot-and-sour soup is the best on the planet. I have traveled extensively, and hot-and-sour soup is my favorite. Great Asian's is the best. The service matches the food in quality; the service is fast and efficient. Further, for a small restaurant, the atmosphere is upscale, quiet, and calm, very pleasant.
Silk Road Asian Cuisine
We had a coupon $15 for 2 lunch menu items. We chose the cashew chicken with fried rice and an egg roll, along with the General tso with fried rice and egg roll. Both meals were good. Lunch portions were good and the egg rolls were crisp. The fried rice was a little dry and the egg roll looked pretty much like white fillings- or pale green. No carrots or anything I could easily identify as meat. They were okay. The space was clean and bathrooms well kept. This is a plaza right on the outskirts of Westerville in the Blendon township vicinity. The meals did not come with more than 1 small napkins per person and no fortune cookies. They did provide the standard sauces.
They service Authentic Chinese food now😍😀 I tried the Salt and pepper Jumbo shrimp,It was delicious!!
Lucky House Chinese Restaurant
Food was delicious and there was great service all around. The waiters were very helpful and attentive. Clean and short wait for the food. If I'm in the area again, I'll be back! We both got General Tso's chicken lunch platter, I got mine mild heat. It came with fried rice, an egg roll, and egg drop soup.
Wasn’t bad, however kind of bland. Doubt I’d ever return though. Lunch time was a hot spot for the local retirees who seem to be regulars here.
Q2 China Bistro
I usually love Q2. Last time I ordered, I noticed the quality was a little less. This time I ordered the chicken lettuce wraps and received 90% uncooked carrots. The eggroll is always excellent, and I’ve enjoyed their other dishes, maybe request that they don’t skimp on the meat next visit?
This Chinese restaurant is one of few that I found that doesn’t feel like a typical cheap Chinese restaurant. The inside is very nicely decorated and has a very intimate feeling, great for a date. The food has consistently been very good, and the portions are HUGE, so be weary if ordering multiple items. The person working there was very nice and they prepared the food quickly. One thing that was almost a dealbreaker for me was that they use GrubHub as their online ordering platform. After looking through the extensive menu and making my decisions, I ended up on a page to create a GrubHub account in order complete my order. If I wasn’t craving Chinese, I would’ve ate somewhere else, but my craving caused me to order by phone, trying to find my order through the menu again. I recommend trying this place, but if you order carry out then start over the phone.
Teriyaki Madness
Got this at work (catered) and we all loved it. That was over a month ago and been going to get a bowl or junior bowl once a week since. So good! Service is good too. Clean tables and not busy when I go. People seem to order ahead for take out. There are tables there to dine in if you wish too, haven’t seen a lot of people dining, but the food is delicious!
You go for the food and it is here! The portions are huge, the jr would be perfect not needing even the regular or large bowl. The options are limited outside of the meats but it makes it simple for ordering. The staff made great recommendations, came at lunch time and not a whole lot of people here, hope they make some traction and this place stays around! The JR bowl is a little pricey for what you get for a kid.
China House
Strongly recommended it. I have heard great comments from my friend about China House restaurant. I finally got a try, our family enjoyed it. It’s great portion, reasonable price. Restaurant is very clean and service are great! I especially love their noodles and Tofu as my post shows. My husband loves the griddle beef ribs!
We've been customers here for 25 yrs. until recently we've noticed differences. The egg rolls seem to retain more oil inside. The sweet and sour is more watery, and you only get 1/2 the rice you use to get. Going down hill !
