The stir fry here is great. I loved the spicy beef. It’s great with the noodles, but I’m sure it would be excellent with the rice as well.

we stopped after a game and had some great sushi and other dishes. The Korean fried chicken was tasty, and the $1 individual sushi is a great way to try different sushis relatively risk free.

I really enjoyed going here! Before you go, know that it is NOT the same place as Basil Thai Kitchen in the Marketplace Mall. These are two unrelated businesses. I ended up getting the fried chicken with seasoned rice (I panicked and they have featured dishes on the wall to your right when you enter) and it was so baller. The chicken was very soft and chewy, the rice was a great compliment to it. The workers were incredibly kind and open to any questions if you needed it. And I saved the best for last: water is free! You get free water with your order, there's a sink by the return point with cups and you can fill one up. Lovely restaurant, will go again. I want them to know me by name.

What a super awesome place for a quick bite to eat in the college town. Wait staff was super friendly easy to order. What I like most is that they actually give you the spiciness that is required. True Thai heat😁 . Prices were very reasonable and serving sizes were exceptional. Definitely a return visit in the future.

Carol was awesome!! Delicious food. She is the only one running the show, waitress, cook, she does it all. First time here and will be back for sure

Food was amazing and super fresh! The woman running everything by herself was absolutely awesome and is a very family safe place! I was not disappointed in anyway! I will definitely be coming back often.

Food was good until I tasted a free egg roll they put in my order and I know it was definitely old oil, how because I worked in restaurants in my life, also the charge me dinner size for beef and broccoli and I even paid Extra for beef and this motherfrs gave me lunch size with steam rice, I paid 5$ more for a lunch size meal, last and not least the general Tsos shrimp super breaded they killing the main protein

While the atmosphere is quaint and small, the food and service are amazing!! The food is so full of flavor and the portions allow enough for leftovers! They are even willing to take late orders before they close with no negative attitude or comment. They are very professional and I love visiting this little spot! This is my go-to Chinese takeout in the area!

This place surprised me in the best way! Lots of veg options and the veggies were fresh and well seasoned. I loved the snow peas and garlic and the bean curd in garlic. The bbq pork ribs were dry and didn’t seem super freshly made. They were flavorful though. This place has no atmosphere and doesn’t even have real chopsticks and forks which is disappointing that they are so wasteful. Overall loved the veggie options and would recommend takeout

Exactly what you should expect from a local family run Chinese restaurant, great food, great portions and super fast, don’t expect a bunch of frilly customer service, they’re a no nonsense place that does great takeout. They’re exactly as advertised I hope they stay in business as long as possible so we can keep getting our spicy shredded beef orange chicken and crab Rangoon order for years to come 🙏🏽

Good spot for quick carryout. Recommend the mao pao tofu; they can make it with some heat. Crab rangoon were standard, nothing super exciting. The price for portion was on point and the sticky rice was also solid.

Hunan Chicken was great, with lots of veggies and ginger. Egg Drop Soup has a great egg flavor; the texture is thinner than many egg drop soups (whether that's good or bad will depend on your preference). Would definitely come again.

We had a fantastic dining experience here, and this was my second visit to the restaurant. We tried the cumin lamb, dry chili chicken, mapo tofu, fried beans, pork strips and stir fried fish . Each dish was packed with flavor and served in generous portions. I highly recommend their candied sweet potatoes—they’re a must-try! Looking forward to visiting again.

Absolutely loved our meal here. We got a big chicken platter with torn noodles (so crunchy and the sauce tastes good on everything), a combo shrimp and seafood noodle dish, hot and sour soup, and scallion pancakes. Portions were very generous and the wait staff were very helpful and attentive. We'll be back.

Food was phenomenal. Many vegan and vegetarian options! A must stop if you're in town and like Thai food! Pictured is Mock Duck Curry (vegan), Jasmine Tea and Fried 🍌 with 🍯!

This place was delicious!! First time in Urbana, IL. We chose this restaurant because it was mentioned in a Reddit post. We investigated on google and the pictures do not do this place justice, so I took some better photos. We ordered the red curry, the pad see mao (drunken noodles), and spicy fried rice. They were all delicious!! Service was wonderful, Thai teas were delicious and not too sweet.

Sakura Japanese Cuisine

The moment I walked in, I was welcomed by a cozy, warm atmosphere with soft lighting and tasteful decor. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. Food: The food was good. I ordered avocado roll, and tofu entree. Each dish was beautifully presented, with rich flavors. The portion sizes were generous and the prices were reasonable for the quality and quantity. Drinks: I tired the Asahi beer and was a well round lager. Service: The service was good with staff who were knowledgeable about the menu and able to make excellent recommendations. Overall: Overall, Sakura exceeded my expectations. Whether you're looking for a romantic dinner, a family gathering, or just a place to enjoy a delicious meal, I highly recommend giving this place a try.

I came in to have a meal by myself and was immediately stared down by staff like I was from another planet 🙄. Not a good start, but the food made the experience worse. Crab was pathetic and oily, the fish I ordered was bland as ever, almost as if it was taken from a local creek and cooked with no seasoning's. The sushi had to have been sitting in a fridge for most of the day because it had both mushy and hard rice pieces. I’d say I was surprised but based on the lack of hospitality and obvious prejudice, low quality is to be expected. Treat yourself and head over to Ko Fusion for some quality sushi, it’s worth the money you will inevitably lose here.

Sunny China Buffet

Very solid Chinese buffet. The selection is a little smaller than the other Chinese buffet in town but the quality is a bit better. The dishes are for the most part all pretty good though some are a little under/oversalted. Considering it's a Chinese buffet, the Mac and Cheese was actually surprisingly good. Overall, the price was 17$ for dinner after tax and tip, which I think is excellent value.

My first visit did not disappoint. The food was fresh and tasty. Great servers. I will definitely return.

Two women that can really cook. Absolutely happy with my meal. They complemented the heat level that I was looking for. And the flavor was extremely perfect. Dipping the rice with the juice was delicious! CHICKEN MUSSAMUN CURRY 🍛❤️

A gem hidden away Barely noticed it, but glad we stopped in Had cashew chicken myself Flavorful, large portion and great price Quiet, cozy, calm environment Good service Fast refills Lots of yummy options

What an excellent vegetarian find! There are so many options from tofu bahn mi to pho to vermicelli dishes with egg rolls or spicy tofu. The summer rolls could be a meal alone with huge chunks of tofu! Dumplings were only okay but the pho and tofu vermicelli were awesome! Service was friendly and accommodating- no issues removing cilantro. Clearly marked vegan and vegetarian options. Bubble tea available too. We will be back for sure!

First time having Pho out in Illinois and everything tasted great. We seemed to catch the end of a lunch rush. We ordered two bowls (one with meat and one with tofu) as well as the spicy tofu dish. Everything tasted wonderful. My wife really enjoyed the pho and said it was some of her favorite out there. We had our toddler in a high chair and (I think it was the owner? Chef? A male person) was very thoughtful and brought out a little bowl and a couple of spoons for our kid to use when he saw her. Take off one star because I had to ask the girl at the front who was sitting on her phone for a refill. But I’m sure as we go back and enjoy the food I’ll reconsider it. We will definitely be back as my wife loves pho and had a great time there!
