CJ's Soul Food
Food was really tasty especially the beef tips that had lots of meat on it. Overall the other food was a little salty. The way they take orders doesnt allow for hardly any modifications because it is electronic instead of written. Atmosphere was good except there was no soap in the ladies bathroom. They did have hand sanitizer outside the bathroom.
Partook in restaurant week 3 course meal to try more items and save a few bucks. The soul roll and crawfish etouffee were just okay but doubt I’d ever order those again. The peach cobbler was the standout of this meal. Would like to return to try some fish, chicken and dirty rice someday.
Panda House
My daughter claims this place has the best wings ever. They have a massive menu with lots of options. It's one of the few places that my entire family can order food that they like. The tofu is pretty good, I found the dishes acceptable. I might be the one in the family least impressed, so it's 4 stars for them. I find it to be more on the expensive side, so it's a treat for them. I do not recommend the veggie roll. It's expensive, you only get one, and I couldn't even finish it.
Let me explain this. I walk into the restaurant with my family. This nice lady greets us and brings us to our table. the menu has SO many options, it's like 5 thick pages long. My eyes land on a picture. Chicken wings for $9. it's an appetizer, but that's all I want to get. Many restaurants have failed me before with their chicken, so i sat there and prayed it would be good. Eventually, all the food comes. My chicken wings come with a tiny sauce dish, and they look alright. I take a bite of them. they're hot, but I don't care. I think to myself; "These are the best chicken wings I've ever had!" then I try it with the sauce. I take the spoon with my grimy hands, drizzle sauce onto it and take a bite. CHOMP. these are the best chicken wings I've EVER had. in my life. No chicken wings can top the chicken wings I've had today. They're perfect. My hands get sticky from the sauce, but I don't care. It's heavenly. I definitely suggest the chicken wings if you wanna be blown away.
