Hunan Gardens Findlay
My boyfriend and I ordered from here a few days ago, when I received an updated transaction today. When ordering, the lady must have only charged us for one dinner meal.. but we did not notice at the time. After it updated today, I called in to see why the total was updated $13 and some change and explained I had noticed due to already being tight on money, as it is the holidays. After looking into it, someone called me back and with nothing but kindness, agreed that it was a mistake in the first transaction and wanted to pay ME for it! I couldn’t believe it, so I declined. He then proceeded to say, how about we just make you a meal for today, don’t worry about it.. it is Christmas time and I understand people are low on cash this time of year. So we took them up on their kindness, thanked them about ten times, and are picking up our free meal today! This small interaction should speak volumes to other customers, or soon to be customers, about their customer service and care for one another in this community!
The food here is absolutely delicious. Ask your server for the "menu with photos" for some fancier options. The pot stickers are excellent. You really can't beat the price on the lunch specials. It's great that they offer the lunch specials on the weekend.
Southside Family Restaurant
Saw this restaurant from the road and thought I would check it out. The service was good, the food was good. They have all you can eat fried fish on Fridays (walleye ) So I'll be back to try it out. A diffininte 4 stars. So if your in the area stop in and get good fo I d at a reasonable price. Two thumbs up. 👍
It was the first time I stopped at the restuarant after passing it a hundred times. The restuarant is a hole in the wall and looks a little off putting compared to the fancy restaurants Findlay offers. But the prices, the service, and the personal atmosphere you get from the servers is so much better than the fancier places. I would recommend this place to anyone who said they wanted a quality meal at a good price. Our waitress said they have breakfast buffet Saturday and Sunday morning and all you can eat fish Friday night. Definitely going to be a regular stop for me.
Wilson's Sandwich Shop
This review is so hard for me to have to do because with the ratings that’s on this place I expected a great mom and pop old fashioned diner experience. I don’t like rating a mom and pop place poorly but I’m a straight forward honest person and. Gonna give my honest review. We stopped at another place for a coney to try as we couldn’t decide between that place and this one. We made the absolute wrong choice. This was Saturday during the car show. I will say the lady who waited on us was absolutely wonderful. However, the employee sitting along the windows on the stool when we was there was absolutely rude and disgusting. Had we not already placed our order, we would have left. Honestly. We still should have asked for our money back and left. I asked if the unmarked door was the bathroom and was told it was by the nice employee. So I went over to the door but someone was in there. The rude employee informed me rudely that she told me someone was in there. Which I replied I’m sorry I didn’t hear you. Then when the employee come out of the bathroom I went to go as it was my turn and the rude employee turns towards me and belches at me. Are you kidding me right now? Anyways, we get our food. The fries was old and cold. The coney was okay. The hamburger was absolutely terrible. Tough hockey puck. But what got me was when I was about halfway through I began finding pieces I could t chew and started pulling some kind of paper out of my mouth. It’s not that there was paper in it that was the worst. What was worse is where the hell did his paper come from inside my sandwich. My stomach was absolutely turned by this. There was 4-5 pieces total and I’d wadded most of them in a napkin before I decided to take a photo of the last two pieces. I was now nauseous. The meal was absolutely one of the worst meals I’ve had out in I don’t know when. It set the new bar for terrible food. So then I thought maybe a bite of pie would help my turning stomach. Nope. One bite and struggled to swallow it. It was awful. This is definitely a one and done experience. There is nearly 1300 people reviewing this place that truly needs to get our more if you think this place deserves the rating it has. These reviews cannot be legit. Usually reviews don’t fail us like this. But wow this one I will definitely not waste our hard earned money at again.
Great burger. Onions were good. The chocolate malt was a spoon necessary thick. Ambiance was nice. Right across from marathon offices. Shopping both ways to walk off the lunch.
Mancy's Steakhouse
I was unsure of the location of this place but I was pleased to see it is inside the Hancock Hotel. One of the first things to note is how clean the employees and facility was. I ordered the NY Strip. I thought it was excellent and that nothing needed to be changed. Cohl was an excellent waiter and I would highly recommend him. A bit out of budget on this one but that is to be expected with Mancy’s sister location. Excellence all around.
For a fancy steakhouse you’d expect better tasting food. I was so excited about trying this place because I never had before and it was in our hotel that we were staying at. We both ordered a glass of wine and entrees. No appetizers, no extras. Our bill with tip came to $150. That’s just for two of us. The food just seemed bland. It wasn’t anything outstanding that we feel we should rush back to. It was a little disappointing. However I did enjoy my dinner date. 😉
Circle of Friends Restaurant
This place is amazing on all fronts. Great food, great portions, and good service. We grabbed an "Around the World" plate to share and it was an overwhelming pile of flavors and dishes to choose from. A couple were more middle-eastern, and some were more Asian dishes. This is a meal we'll be thinking about for months to come.
First off, you absolutely can not find better customer service or someone who has more pure, genuine love and pride for their work than the sweet lady who seemed to be in charge, along the with also doing most of the cooking. It felt to me as if she might be the owner. But regardless, she's so friendly, honest and clearly takes so much pride in everything she serves! She breaks down all the dishes to every ingredient, which also shows that everything is definitely homemade, which you can also tell from the quality of the food. And the portions are truly unreal. Two of my party shared the "Around the World" option, which can be ordered for up to 5 people I believe, but we only got the option that serves 2 and cost only $25, and I wish I would've taken pictures because words can't do it justice. There's at least 7 different entrees from 7 different areas of the world, and each comes with enough food to be a meal. It could've easily fed 4 people. I shared it with my brother who is 6'3 and 260+ lbs, and we didn't even put a dent in it. So, if you're looking for somewhere to eat and considering here, your search needs to end now. Just go. I promise you won't be disappointed.
Jack & Jin’s
Some of the best Thai food I have ever tasted. The green curry is amazing, as well as the Pad Thai, Tempura vegetables, and Spring Rolls, so I assume that everything else is also. Fast, friendly service. Very good value for money.
This is by far the best Asian in Findlay and surrounding areas! It’s my go to for comfort food. The staff is always very friendly. When I went there was only one person working. She was taking orders, cooking, and handing out food but she still managed to keep a good attitude.
Oler's Bar & Grill
Great hometown bar feel. Food and service are spot on. Had fish and chips.... Highly recommend. Cooked to perfection, hot, light and flakey, generous portions at a great price.
So I want to start out by saying I’ve never had a bad experience AT olers, I had my 21st bday with my family there and my dad eats there all the time. With that being said, I was so disappointed tonight. I ordered pick up tonight, the woman I spoke to on the phone was super nice with me and my silly questions. My brother got a double cheeseburger cooked medium well with pickles, lettuce, ketchup, and mayo with a side of fries. His burger was bland and one patty was medium well, the other was medium rare, closer to the side of rare and he almost ate it anyway except he took a bite that was completely mush and squirted blood on his finger and there was a crunchy/hard piece of something unidentified. There was no ketchup and the lettuce was wilted and stringy. We did receive mayo but it was in a tub that I thought was my side of queso 💀 that part was my fault lmao. My burrito was good but I was so sad because my guac was fizzy and tasted sour and I LOVE their guac. Our root beers were also flat. Idk maybe it was just an off day but I was really surprised and soooo let down cuz I had the munchies and I was gonna SCARF.
Logan's Irish Pub
We were here on a Friday evening during winterfest. We loved this place! The food is so good. I had the pretzel and fish and chips. The atmosphere is very cheerful, there was a band while we were there and they were fantastic!
Logan's Pub is one of those places that, at first glance, might seem unassuming. Tucked away with limited parking, it's a spot where finding a space can be a test of patience, especially when it gets busy. But like many hidden gems, the effort to get there is part of the adventure, and what waits inside makes it all worthwhile. Service at Logan’s is decent—not always stellar, but it gets the job done. The staff hustles, especially when the place is packed, which is often. Yet, the occasional wait and the parking hassle fade into the background when the food arrives. The fish and chips here are excellent, the kind that remind you of the best pub fare across the pond. Crispy, golden, and perfectly seasoned, it's a dish that speaks of tradition and comfort. Their Reuben is another standout—hearty, flavorful, and loaded with all the right fixings. And then there's the Guinness. Logan’s pours a solid pint, the kind that would make any pub-goer smile. It’s a place where you can settle in, sip slowly, and savor the simple pleasures of good food and drink. Logan’s Pub may not be the easiest to get to, and it can get busy, but it’s the kind of place that rewards persistence. It’s a slice of authenticity in a world where that’s becoming increasingly rare, and for that, it’s well worth a visit.
Texas Roadhouse
Oh my gosh, is all I can say. The food, service (Cassie), and atmosphere was perfect. Our food was running behind and Cassie was super amazing and came out to give us an update. She was very patient when we were ordering, as my 12 yr old was being very indecisive. She made some suggestions, which my daughter ended up choosing. She also introduced me to the in-booth high chair. It was PERFECT! My toddler has never been able to sit in a booth like that. I could tell she felt included. Cassie had our glasses full, checked in on us several times to ensure we were doing ok, and made sure that our exit went as smooth as our entrance. She deserves more than a pat on the back and an atta girl, give this magnificent server a raise.
Seated and served quickly, our server was attentive. She kept the buns coming and plates were cleared away almost immediately. Meats were cooked perfectly, the sides and apps were great. I wouldn't get the mac n cheese again, though. It was meh. But I'd definitely come back to the Texas roadhouse
VIP Lao Cuisine
VIP Lao Cuisine offers an incredible dining experience with customizable spice levels for each dish. I enjoyed the chicken and rice, paired with a lavender boba milk tea with lemon boba—absolutely amazing!
Today was our worst experience ever here. This was one of our favorite spots. Today the Lomein looked like noodle chunks, different color, didn’t know if they were cooked or not. When we escalated, the guy did nothing about, didn’t want to refund the money either. You guys just lost a costumer.
Japan West
We were actually really excited to come here since the reviews were consistently great. When walking in it didn't seem like the AC was that high but I think we got used to it. Now, I did like that the server came by with towels to wash our hands with and then we were given Chex mix as the table snack? Lol Our server was attentive until I told her I didn't like my ramen. Now I understand some restaurants don't house make their ramen but my ramen tasted like a Maruchan package you can get for $1 at the store and overall didn't eat more than two bites, definitely not $15 worth. When I told her I didn't like it she said "oh I'm sorry" and walked away while I was talking to ask her to take it back (this pissed me off) as I wasn't offered to get something else or anything. My husband ordered nigiri which wasn't bad he said the quality of the fish could've been better for the price per piece of fish not order, salmon was kinda too fishy if you get my drift. The two rolls we got were great but overall, wouldn't go back- there's not many options for special rolls and definitely not worth the price and you'll still have to pay for your food if you send it back :)
Don’t let the warm had towel service fool you, that’s where the “classy” stops. Very over priced for what’s is offered. First hibachi restaurant I’ve ever been to that you can not order Hibachi at the regular tables as well. Having a service dog makes it hard to sit at hibachi tables. Sushi was good but very overpriced. Everyone’s food came out at different times so some had to wait several minutes to eat till everyone had their food. Service was ok but very minimal and lacking for such a small restaurant. Definitely won’t ever be back. Worth driving to Perrysburg to go to Nagoya for the same price but hands down better food service and selection.
Golden Flames Asian Bistro Express
Amazing food. Got the Teppanyaki Salmon and house noodles. Both good on their own, but paired with squeezed lemon and the sauce is an amazing and refreshing sweet, sour and savory bite of food. Prices need updated on the website, expected to pay 15 based off website, actually paid 20.
The service was very good, very friendly and nice. The food is tasty, especially the lumpia, hard to find Filipino food in a small town like this. It’s just that it’s a bit too expensive and not enough sauce. Overall it’s pretty good. The store is clean too. I find the long table funny because the screws almost came though the top. The exit close the the speedway is only a right turn, to make a left you need to exit the middle strip exit
