Wang’s Chinese Kitchen
I placed an Uber eats order since my car is in the shop. My order was cold when I got it even though it was delivered early. I agree with the other statements of not having much flavor. My spring rolls had way too much celery in them which I believe is what caused them to be soggy. They didn’t have any crunch at all and tasted like plain celery. The portion size was good for two orders size large. Work on seasoning and making sure food is hot and fresh. If you make these tweaks you can become a 5 star establishment.
I order from Wangs regularly on DoorDash, and I have never had a complaint. One time I received the wrong order, but only because the dasher gave me the wrong one. Even though the options were wrong. It was still good. Recently I stopped by in person to pick up an online order. The staff was very friendly, and even though I was early for the pickup time, the manager apologized multiple times that they were not making the food fast enough. When I asked to buy an extra crab Rangoon, he tossed it in for free for the wait (again, they were not actually running behind!). Overall, the staff is very friendly, the portions are good, and the food is always tasty. I am happy to call them my favorite Chinese carry out!
Jade Dumpling & Noodle House
I've eaten at many Chinese restaurants in my adult life, and this one is by far the best. I took a chance on the shrimp dry pot on my first visit right after they opened. OMG, the flavor was incredible. The shrimp had the most amazing crunch on the outside but tender and juicy on the inside with no breading. I asked for mild spice, which was a little spicier than I like, but the next time I asked for none, and it was perfect. I still ate and enjoyed the spicier version. The servers are always friendly, and the food comes out fast. I look forward to eating here whenever I visit my son.
Visiting Oregon, we never expected to find such delicious and authentic Chinese food in Eugene, it truly touched us, being so far from home. The braised meat buns were even better than the ones I’ve had in New York! We enjoyed it so much during lunch that we ended up ordering a bunch of takeout to bring back to the hotel for dinner. The locals here are so lucky to have such amazing food nearby! Highly recommend the sichuan pork steam buns, tomato egg noodle, and spicy beef and tripe.
