China Wok
Doesn’t look like the plan on bringing the buffet back any time soon. Good tasting food. Had the hot n spicy beef.
They act like we are all still in covid lock downs. Ridiculous. But the food was good
China 88
My lunch (chicken & veg with cashews) was hot and fresh, the egg rolls were crispy and delicious, and my meal was done on time. The lady working was very friendly! Highly recommend!
Great Chinese takeout. Call in your order versus the online order option. Get a realistic pickup time and avoid additional service fee.
China Wok
Food was good and reasonably priced. Wait was OK considering how busy they were. Service was great. Stopped in on a road trip. Looks like most business is takeout but a few tables to dine in.
Called in a takeout order, phone answering service recording was different but after going off a few times they answered.... Friendly and good communication when answering the phone and going to pick up takeout the quick service was a plus.... Steamed dumplings were different/unique for sure, they were good but a rich filling with decent sauce to dip.... Both the garlic shrimp & beef with broccoli, had too similar of sauces, both thick and sweet for the base, then they had a little different flavor to them overall, large shrimp and the veggies in both dishes were fresh....I suggest this place and would definitely like to try some other options on the next passing through town
China Garden
Firstly, this is one of the few Chinese places left with a dine-in option. It is a rather cute place. Definitely not your modern “all hard surfaces so it’s hard to talk” place. It is a nice place to sit and talk with family and friends. Booths were nice and cushioned. The food was delicious and it reminded me of my favorite place from back home in Kokomo IN. Some Chinese food seems like it’s from the same distributer, but not this place. This food was flavorful and slightly different than any other place in the area. I had the lunch sweet and sour chicken special with an order of fried wontons. The egg rolls in particular were superb. Fresh veggies and meat all wrapped in a flakey and crunchy outside. In my opinion and experience, it is rather hard to find an egg roll with all these qualities. I would drive there just to eat a couple of these bad boys alone. My only complaint was the rice. It was a bit hard and possibly dried out, but then again I was there at the tail end of lunch. It might have been in a warmer a tad too long. I will definitely be coming here again. And when I do, I will be giving the rice a second try.
Best kept secret for Asian freshly prepared food. NEVER disappointed! I don't understand why this place isn't crowded...BEST fresh HOMEMADE egg rolls within 30 mi! Sweet owners with VERY clean establishment. Been around a few years so maybe newness is worn off, but IT'S THE BEST QUALITY around. Ask for Tina. She's so sweet!😁
