Peking Wok
I used to love this place. My husband and I stopped in tonight. I had Sushi and a couple items off of the bar. My husband ate off of the bar. We were in there 30 minutes and I was ready to go. We were seated. Our drinks were given to us and that was it. The food was dried and old. The sushi wasn't fresh at all. When I asked for some fresh Sushi, I was told yes and there still wasn't any brought out. The place was dirty. Multiple tables that hadn't been cleaned. There were maybe 5 tables that were accompanied by people. The waitress were sitting on a stool behind the counter eating. NOT attending to their customers. 2 adult buffet 1 water and 1 tea in total costed $32.74. A picture is worth a 1,000 words.
My guilty pleasure is Chinese buffet. I stopped here at 6:30 and spent about an hour stuffing my face with all sorts of tasty pieces. Lots of the usual Americanized Chinese items including baked seafood, beef & broccoli, fried green beans, fried pork in batter, chicken wings, lo mein, battered meat in a sweet sauce and yes, a reasonable display of sushi rolls though most were covered in sauce. The restaurant is clean, the steam tables were tidied often and refilled, my waitress cleared dirty dishes and refilled my water. I'm stuffed!
Great China
I ordered a meal to go on DoorDash. It was delivered promptly opened it up put it on a plate, Sat down to eat, Could not eat this the pork is supposed to be roasted and it had thick bread stuff all over it like some type of barbecue sauce, very sweet and perfume. Taste in even the rice and the egg roll had a very odd taste. Can not even eat any of this!!! It’s going in the trash. I won’t bother to ask for my 33.00, just take it as a loss. I tried this place like 23 years ago and now I know why I have never been back.
I buy around 300 to 350 dollars a month of Chinese food. This restaurant doesn’t put enough of the main ingredients in their food. Bought a quart of shrimp fried rice and it had only three small shrimp. Same with the other dishes. Very little seafood and meat. Also the place is dirty and the rating on the wall reflects it. Have tried them three times and have been disappointed every time. Two out of the three times was overcharged by a few dollars. Brought it up and they said sorry and refunded me the few bucks. Will not be going back. Much better food and a cleaner place in Marshville named Top China. They also have a very high rating from the health department.
