Golden City
Took a chance and made the 40 minute drive from camp. With limited and mostly blah choices nearby we figured what the heck. What a wonderful surprise. The buffet was large and plentiful. The food was fresh and the variety was wide. Even the salad bar was fresh. All of the food we had was very tasty. The service was great as well. There is also a Mongolian style griddle but it was closed when we were there. All in all it was well worth the drive and when we are close again we will definitely go back.
I really like the food all in all. The only thing is the General Tso on the buffet is always hard and it tastes way different then when you order it in a to go order. It's soft when you get to go. Everything else food wise is really good. The lighting needs to be a little brighter there, it's so dark that it's hard to see the food you're eating. Let me address the bathrooms. They are dark also. But I noticed the 2 vents above the bathroom stalls have some type of green lights in them. I'm not sure what they are but it was odd seeing a green glowing light inside a vent. Won't be using their facilities again other than washing my hands.
