Red Pepper
Everything about this dump is -10 stars. The “lobster sauce” looked like shrimp in water, lo mein tasted like 10 day old raccoon. Smelled horrible inside, old and dingy. Whoever is giving this place 4 and 5 stars needs to get out of Sneads Ferry and try some real food. Worst Chinese food I’ve ever eaten.
Chicken was good. Rice real dry. Not a big place to eat in. Woman talked loudly entire time we waited for food.
Golden China Restaurant
The service was quick. The food was plentiful and good. The fried rice was a little bland.
We regularly go here but hadn't been in a couple months. Decided today ww were in the mood for some Chinese food. Ordered our usual lunch specials plus egg drop soup and honey wings. Came home excited for lunch until we started actually eating it. The egg drop soup was a congealed, food coloring added nightmare. It went straight in the trash. Our egg rolls, which are normally my favorite thing from there, were undercooked and doughy tasting. They went in the trash also. The hubs chicken was overcooked and hard as a rock in his General Tsos meal and my chicken & broccoli tasted nothing like it usually does. The sauce acted like it had way to much cornstarch in it. Very thick and no flavor. The wings were overcooked and barely chewable. We waited over 20 minutes for this garbage. I don't know what has changed here but we won't be back. Waste of $30 and a tip. Don't waste your money here.
Golden China Restaurant
Had the Chinese spare ribs and fried rice total win. Ribs were fall off the bone good, and the rice hit that perfect mix of savory and satisfying. Old-school flavor done right. I’ll be back for round two.
Just ordered for dinner. General Tso chicken was over cooked and tough. Teriyaki beef was more like beef jerky. Very disappointed...
Little China Restaurant
Hair in my food! Ordered the singapore noodles, and not even half way through I found a small black hair. I called the restaurant informing them of this and to request a refund. They said I had to drive back to the restaurant with the untouched meal to show them. Not convenient at all! Won't be returning or recommending
RAW FOOD. We just ordered from Little China for the first time based on the over 4 plus star review. Wish we never did order, wasted over 50 for basically raw food and left overs. I ordered Mongolian Beef but what I got was Beef that tasted like Beef and Broccoli set in onion soup. The Mongolian beef ingredients were completely wrong. It should be made with green onions not regular onions and served with white rice not fried rice. The fried rice had only a couple peas and carrots and both were ice cold as well. I was craving egg rolls so paid extra and I got Raw Egg rolls, center was ice cold and wrap was raw (barely brown on outer shell). My husband ordered Bourbon Chicken and he said it tasted like it had set under a heat lamp for hours. Considering he waited for the food and came right home (10 mins from the restaurant) it should have been fresh. We looked at their site and saw they serve a buffet earlier in the day so perhaps that explains some things. Don’t know for sure. We do not recommend this place at all.
Golden Pot
My husband and I ordered take out for Christmas Day, and the food was absolutely amazing! Some of the best vegetable lo mien I've ever had! We love the sweet and sour chicken too! Everyone was so nice! This is our favorite Chinese takeout in Jacksonville! They never disappoint! Thank you Golden Pot for an amazing Christmas dinner!!!
BEST CHINESE FOOD IN JACKSONVILLE NC! My husband and our family have tried multiple places and we will drive out of our way just to eat here if we want Chinese food. They have the best everything. Always hot, always fresh! We call ahead most the time because it’s about 35-40 minute wait. Pretty sure it’s a mom, dad and their son that owns this place and I hope they never go out of business.
Great Wall Restaurant
Today was my first visit to this restaurant. I was very pleased with the food and the restaurant. The restaurant is small, but was very clean. Staff was very friendly, and acted as though they appreciated our business. Food was excellent! I got the vegetable delight and it was very good! Portions are huge! Overall, this is a great little place to eat in Jacksonville. Prices are extremely fair for what you get! Highly recommended!
We’ve been coming here for a while now. I have never had any issues with the food or the staff. They are always friendly and the food is always fresh. I like my food on the spicer side and let them know when I order. They do not disappoint. Even when I was wrong on what I thought I ordered they went out of their way to make sure their customer was happy. Delicious take out and good people.
Panda Express
1) Brocoli Beef without the beef. 2) Some people just have no sense of sanitation or awareness. The employee who served my food had her thumb in my food. I'm sure I didn't ask her to add an extra flavor.
My review is mostly for the seating..They start closing seating areas during dinner time to clean up and everyone has to be bunched up in a small section to eat, and last time I was there no place to sit..What kind of a food court closes off seating at dinner?
Panda Express
Waited 30 min in line and in front of the store for honey chicken and only got small breading with no chicken in it. Maybe 1 piece was actually chicken. This is crazy..never happened before
I want to preface this review by saying I usually prefer homemade meals so I avoid things like this but we have a roadtrip tomorrow so I would rather get take out than have left overs. I specifically asked for chow mein with as little bit of cabbage as possible(I understand it won’t be cabbage free as it is prepared together) but I made the request and the girl said she would try her best. This was suppose to be for my toddler. To my surprise, when I arrived home which is about 20 mins away from Panda I realized it was ALL cabbage with a side of noodles. At this point all I can do is laugh and sift through the noodles for my son. Pictures for reference !
Jumbo Golden China
Everything I ordered, from the egg rolls to the main dish, was so greasy, I couldn't eat it after one bite. It was more like a pool of oil than a meal. I actually had to pour out the oil from the to-go container because the food was literally swimming in it. The shrimp fried rice was a joke—I've had better from a microwaveable bag of rice. What a complete waste of money. I honestly wish I had taken a picture before I threw it all away.
Well, I'm at home with the flu and wanted an egg roll and some egg drop soup. BUT NO!! My pickup order had to be $15.00 or more. That is about as ignorant as they come.. So you lost $10.00..
China Garden
Every time my Dad and I go there, the food comes out so hot and fresh. The waitress was wonderful and didn't rush us. The egg rolls were fried just right. I had the chicken with cashews. The veggies in the dish had the right crunching. My dad had the chicken lo mein. We would rather go here than Mai Thai in Jax.
The atmosphere like any other Chinese place. Lots of stuff on walls. We don't eat in. Food is your average Chinese food. We like the lo main noodle but it had very little shrimp to noodle ratio.
China King
Please come and order some China King! Their food is delicious and is run by a lovely family establishment. Thank you for the delicious Egg Roll and the delicious Meat with Vegetables!!! 🥰 Don’t forget to include chili oil to your order!
This place has changed hands so many times, the food has gotten worse with each new management. I should have walked out when I smelt like sewer in there. The food I ordered very bland didn’t even taste like Chinese food. When the store food rat opened the food tasted so very good and very authentic. Now it’s like they don’t care about what they prepare for the public, but yet we are the ones who keep their doors open. They have tubs of chicken wings sitting out, as well as other foods that get fried. This place truly needs to be shut down! My food by the way went in the garbage!!!!
Bei Jing Garden
I always order from them and had no problem. The person who delivers is very nice and though I don’t have it I always find a tip of no less than $5. But I ordered food for my son for doing well and found metal string in his food. I’m so happy I opened it and put it in a plate. I don’t want to imagine what it could have done.
Delicious! Ordered delivery, $3 fee on a $19 total. Arrived on base within 45 minutes. Lunch pork lo mein, crab rangoon and a small wonton soup. Lady on the phone was fast and efficient; delivery driver friendly and simply handed up the bag. Paid by card over the phone and added tip. Will definitely order again!
