Brewery Bhavana - Fenton
Love, love, love Brewery Bhavana's new (little) sister location at Fenton! This location captures (on a slightly smaller scale) everything wonderful from the original BB and brings it to Fenton's cozy "Backyard" area. The condensed menu still bursts with flavor and offers lots of shareable plate options. The beers and cocktails are delish as usual... the Spicy Green is a must-try! The amosphere is light and bright and airy indoors and the outdoor patio seating is placed in a quiet courtyard. This little sister location is a fantasic addition to the larger one and she deserves a moment in the spotlight too.
If not for the name, I don't think I would have realized this restaurant was connected to Brewery Bhavan in Raleigh. The atmosphere is very different. Very high ceilings with floor to wall windows, very bright and much smaller than I expected. We ordered several small plates including the Edamame Ginger Dumplings, Chicken Curry Bao, Pork Bao, and Ginger Salad and General Tso Chicken entree. All of the portions are small. I liked the Chicken Curry Bao and my wife liked the Edamame Ginger Dumplings. The General Tso Chicken was too acidic for my taste. The menu was smaller than the one on the website. The waiter didn't say anything until we asked and confirmed they are offering a limited menu currently since they just opened and hope to make the full menu available next week. Additionally, one of the staff members squatted behind us for over 30 minutes chatting with the table behind us. The restaurant is already small, this just made us feel more cramped. Also, I kind of expect the wait staff to be extra outgoing when a new restaurant opens, especially if it isn't too busy. Just didn't see that here.
