Weng's Kitchen
Since I moved to a more rural area, I've been really missing Chinese food (I had a lot more options nearby where I used to live). So I was really excited to try Weng's and I'm so happy to say it was perfect and really satisfied the craving! Really good Egg Rolls, the menu has a wide selection of food options, we're already excited to order more food again. Great spice level. My husband's the one who ordered and picked up, he said the staff was really nice. Pleasant experience overall.
We got catering for a work lunch and the service was great. The staff checked in before pick up and made sure that everything was correct. Pick up was easy and food was delicious:
GOGI Korean Steakhouse & Sushi
What an incredible restaurant! From its magic stunning decor, to it's gorgeous food presentation and the attentive friendly staff that brings on the good times! We ate and drank our hearts out. We had mocktails and cocktails, dumplings, double tacos, egg souffle, seafood pancakes. I actually can't eat seafood and they were so accommodating of that, made my food first for our entree and to perfection. We all loved our meals and has a great time interacting with the staff. They made it an incredible experience! Dessert is also a must when coming here! Perfect spot for anything: date night, family night, a celebration or even to grab a meal alone!
10/10 experience and I could not recommend Gogi enough!! The food was absolutely amazing and I cannot wait to come back. So many amazing protein options which makes for the most amazing Korean bbq experience!! The appetizers and sushi were amazing as well.
Shanghai on Elm
I went in here one night after work. It was pouring rain. I sat at the bar and had the spicy mango pineapple margarita. I ordered and my food came out quick. It was hot and delicious. It's nice that their kitchen is open late. I'll definitely be back. The bartenders were great they had me cracking up.
A Late-Night Gem in the Heart of Downtown—But a Hit or Miss on Flavor Finding a good meal late at night can be a challenge, but this spot is a true savior for night owls, staying open until 2 AM. My girlfriend and I stopped by around 1:30 AM on a Friday, and the atmosphere was lively, giving off the energy of a bustling street eatery in Hong Kong or Tokyo. Located in the heart of downtown Cincinnati, it felt like a hidden gem catering to the late-night crowd. I ordered the Mongolian beef with white rice, and while the portion was satisfying, the dish was drenched in excess oil or sauce. I had to drain a significant amount into my rice bowl, which took away from the overall experience. My girlfriend opted for the chicken pad thai, which she enjoyed, but I found the eggy taste and aroma to be overpowering. I thought the glasses that have a unique tilting style like the tower of pisa were pretty cool! Service was brief yet friendly, fitting for a late-night spot where efficiency is key. While I wouldn’t go out of my way to return, I’d consider it again if I needed a meal after hours. The menu is almost identical to Wong’s ‘ORIENTAL WOK’ but not with the same quality the ‘wok’ offers. It’s one of those places where your experience could go either way, so it’s worth trying at least once to see if it hits the mark for you.
Tasty & Go (Chinese Food)
If you're on the lookout for top-notch Chinese food, look no further! This restaurant truly stands out with its exceptional offerings. The Chicken Broccoli is a must-try—tender chicken and perfectly crisp broccoli come together in a savory sauce that's simply irresistible. What’s even better is the generous portion sizes; you’ll be getting big bowls brimming with deliciousness. The flavors are authentic and satisfying, making each meal a delightful experience. The restaurant itself exudes a warm and inviting atmosphere, perfect for a casual dinner or a special occasion. Overall, this spot is a fantastic choice for anyone craving high-quality Chinese cuisine. Don’t miss out on their Chicken Broccoli—you’ll be glad you did!
Definitely better than the previous restaurant if you’re local. This place is currently under a new owner. Fresh decor, delicious food and smooth service. Easy fast come and go grab fresh food on my way home after a long day. Plus+++ It’s right outside the train station. Chicken wings are the best!!!!!!!!!!
Spice Bazaar - Modern Indian Dining
Dinner with my husband, first time here. LOVED it. All the food was artistically plated, and perfectly spiced. I asked for more spicy, my server helped me determine the exactness, so it wouldn't be too hot, just right. It was.
I rate this place 10/10 👌. I went for brunch, and my taste buds were knocked off! There was a DJ playing a wide array of music. The service was fantastic! Their virgin pitchers tasted delicious. It's BYOB, so bring a small bottle with you. The food selections were plentiful, and all sounded great. Can't wait to go back for brunch and try dinner, too! The owners and the crew do an AMAZING job. Kudos!
Walter Stewart's Market
$4.00 for a persimmon and $5.00 for a pomegranate! What in the world is going on here??!! Supposed to be fresh baked bread is stale and baguettes are stiff and heavy. Very hard to get simple, traditional baguettes in this country. They are supposed to be light and airy inside but crusty on the outside. Not hard to make either but man, sooo hard to find around here.
While I find the grocery store a bit expensive, I think this store has interesting curated items that I can’t find anywhere. For instance, pink lemons and exotic fruit, anchovies in hot sauce (can’t find anywhere), fresh pasta of all varieties, large section of pre-made food and an on sight sushi making stand. Not to mention the largest shelf to make decorated cakes with sprinkles. The parking lot is a bit difficult to manage but overall a nice small store one can get to know quite easily.
Jade Dragon
Had a great lunch here. Incredibly generous portions of good, straight-forward American-style Chinese food, and brown rice is available. Extremely courteous and friendly service. And a surprisingly stylish and hopping atmosphere for a place tucked away in a strip mall that's not easily seen from the road. Overall a terrific place. Update: we went back a second time to Jade Dragon a couple of days ago and it was once again terrific. The jalapeño sushi appetizer was particularly fantastic b
I love the place!! Great place to go and sit down have a beverage, chat with locals and take home some fantastic food. Or go sit with your family to have great spirits, Sushi and Asian cuisine.
Good Fortune Restaurant
Long overdue. Almost reticent to write this review, as I’d like to keep this place as a secret for myself. As far as “Americanized “ chinese food this is the absolute best. The two young ladies that (i guess are part owners) are personable and caring . Probably my 15-20th time here in the past 3-4 years and it’s just plain good. I love Family’s bar scene, however their food doesn’t touch Good Fortune. As well they’ve got 2 great bartenders! Donny will tell you a tale while making you a great scorpion 🦂 bowl!!! Thank you !!!
Great food. Good cooks reasonable prices. Awesome noodles!
Tasty China
We ordered Singapore meifan and Kong pao chicken from this place. Both are really good! Not too salty or light. Will definitely order from them again next time I come in town.
Service is always fast and staff is friendly. Recipes are prepared consistently. Great meals that we don’t need to cook.
Pearl Cafe II
Love their food. However, not sure why the quality of their general gaus chicken has changed. I do love how they flavor it but the type of chicken does not taste like real meat.
Able to get a variety of foods in a combo plate but do wish the portion generals chicken was bigger. Tasted great! Quick pick up on a weekend around dinner time
Great Wall Chinese Restaurant
Okay the food quality was authentically good. Rice was perfect. Shrimp Lo Mein and Orange Chicken taste good especially in a middle of nowhere a place where i see nothing but white folks around and then there was a Chinese restaurant call “Great Wall” lol and the food tasted better than those big city Chinese restaurant
Great lunch specials for only $7.85. Food was made to orde so it was hot and fresh.. Cash only thou.
China King
Our favorite place when we're craving Chinese, portions are huge, and delivery is fast. The garlic chicken is my personal favorite, not too spicy but plenty of flavor. They have the best crab rangoons in St Charles.
First of all I have to say that I'm very allergic to soy and cabbage AND I will be dining here again! Yes, it's that good. What I love about this place: The food, all of it, is absolutely amazing. My favorite thing we ordered was the hunan pork. It's a bit spicy but oh-so-good! That said- literally everything was good. They have the best egg rolls I've ever had. This is a place whose chef truly cares about their food! The service is friendly and helpful. They anticipate your needs and address them promptly. What's not-so-great: The decor is very simplistic. You won't see the traditional elements of a Chinese restaurant- no golden dragons, no gold and red anything here. The furniture is dated. Do I care? NOPE! The restaurant is clean and well maintained. My hubby and I will be coming here often!! Take 370 to elm. They're on the right hand side of the street in a small strip mall. Ready? GO!
