Nino's Pizza
Ordered a Philly cheesesteak sub. “Classic thinly-sliced sirloin tips sautéed in our own special steak sauce with melted cheddar cheese, sweet peppers and onions.” Dry. A couple onion slices. No peppers detected. No sauce detected. No cheese detected. It’s a dry sub with some steak and a couple onion slices. Do better.
I used to be a big fan of Nino’s Pizza but up until recently the quality of service and food has gone down dramatically. I waited an additional 30 minutes on this. By the looks of it, they could’ve taken it out 10 minutes sooner. When I arrived at the stated time, they said an additional nine minutes so I came back 15 minutes later and my wings still weren’t done. My little kids couldn’t even eat it because the burnt bottom was too hard. Also what happened to the cheese? Wings were soggy and dry/rough.
Christe's Restaurant
We went here for Sunday brunch and had a great time. West Seneca isn't usually my area to go for food but this diner was up to my standard for sure. Food was great while still being affordable, server was friendly, but the atmosphere was lacking a bit if that matters to you. We ordered both breakfast entrees. The more exciting part of the meal was the home fries which you can get them "all the way" meaning they'll add onion, peppers, cheese, and gravy. It was amazing. The bacon was crispy. The bread was thick and pre-buttered. The poached eggs were slightly overcooked but still somewhat runny and they dont charge extra for poaching unlike some other place (Sophia's). The pancakes were on the darker side but our server assured us they could be remade if it was too overcooked. The service was great. Our waitress was so friendly and mood-uplifting. The food came out in a reasonable time. We had all the condiments we needed. The coffee refill came before we were even empty. The atmosphere does not have that homey diner feel. It has more of a hotel/corporate feel to it. It might be because the space is also used as a banquet hall? In my opinion, this doesn't hurt my overall score of the place. The vibe is fine for me. Overall great experience. Highly recommend to someone who is looking to try another diner.
The crowd was older in the morning early afternoon. The bathroom was clean. The staff was kind. I was comfortable waiting for my friend. They didn't give me a hard time waiting for her even though they were pretty busy. I got soup and a sandwich. The soup was creamy broccoli. It was way to thick. It was had to eat, was like pudding. Not savory just thick. I couldn't get past it. The turkey sandwich was very good, however it could have used a little more condiments. I would go again. Next time try the breakfast. It looked good. I saw someone with eggs Benedict that I would try.
China Express
It was our first time ordering here, and it won’t be our last! Since moving to the area we’ve ordered from the closest place to us, and while it was always good it was never really amazing for the price. We decided to venture just a little further tonight and I am so glad we did. Everything was hot, the portions were large enough to have leftovers, and we didn’t spend an arm and a leg. We ordered the chicken lo mein combination platter, wonton soup, kung pao shrimp, and crab rangoon. 10/10!
Food is good. Classic Chinese take out. The service is amazing tho. The lady who I see everytime is so nice and more than half the time gives me a free dessert or soup today because it was extra cold outside!!
Chang's Garden Inc
Without a doubt one of the best Chinese spots in the Southtowns. Large generous portions of everything. Best eaten hot and fresh in their dining room, if possible. They use fresh and quality ingredients and have nice specials. They are pretty quick and everything comes out hot and fast. We just ordered their big juicy dumplings pork friend dumplings, egg rolls, crispy beef, fried rice and beef and shrimp platter. Tons of food. All was delicious. We stuffed ourselves and had an entire extra meal each. The one thing that’s kind of annoying is that you can’t have fried rice with a dinner. You are not even allowed to pay an up charge for it. You have to order it by itself. Not the end of the world, and I always end up doing it but it’s like paying for an extra meal every time we go. I find Chinese a little pricey in this area. A pro tip is to order a few lunch specials and save them for dinner. Make your own buffet. They do include fried rice with their lunches.
We received a recommendation to try Changs, and it was well worth it coming in. The food was fresh and delicious, and I recommend the hot n sour soup, eggrolls, and Udon dishes.
Asian Star Restaurant
By far the best Chinese food I have ever had. The chicken is the perfect amount of crispy and the sauce was amazing. Definitely coming back the next time I am in the area.
Ordered take out for the first time yesterday with my husband. My husband is gluten free and we heard great things about this place from his aunt who is also gluten free. Food was great and pricing was affordable. They had so many gluten free options for him to choose from. Definitely making this a usual spot!
Duff's Famous Wings
We waited for 45 mins for a table, which is understandable it was busy and after a Bills game. We ordered our food and it took over 50 mins to get our food. We ordered 40 wings, (10 bbq and 30 mild). The food came to our table and the mild wings had no sauce. They were plain wings. The waitress told us that there was a buttery sauce on them but all we saw was the cooking grease on the bottom of the bowl (see picture). The BBQ ones were decent. The fries were cold, we sent them back and the they replaced them with fresh ones which were good. My sons chicken fingers were mostly breaded crust, very little chicken and dry inside. The waitress never came to check on us once, and left all our dirty plates and napkins on our small table (there was 6 of us). She never came by for more napkins or see if we needed anything. It was busy, but not that busy, and if they are short staffed, that is not our issue especially when we are paying good money for food. I then waited 20mins for our bill. Conclusion…. I would not recommend this place at all. It’s ok at best and the service is terrible. There are way better wing places in Buffalo.
Wings sauce was excellent. The wings themselves were extremely overcooked. Couldn't pull the flats apart by hand.
