YH Dim Sum
We stumbled upon YH after leaving a bday party a couple months ago. We have been twice so far and absolutely LOVE IT! The family style meals are awesome! The rice, soup, chicken dishes are all amazing! They have a huge variety of Dim Sum all equally delicious! Everyone is very welcoming, the service is excellent and the food comes out extremely fast! I would definitely recommend them and can’t wait to go back again!!!
Excellent in every way! Our first dim sum experience and we’re hooked. No photo but def try the turnip cakes, super yummy. Will def return when we’re closer!
Rice Box
Please note it's carryout only. Clean, quiet, super friendly staff and fantastic food at good prices. Location on Southside can be a bit congested but you can sneak right out onto Strawberry for a light or a detour. Will definitely be back. Pepper steak was awesome. Big menu. Recommended.
The owners are amazing and remember their customers. They give suggestions once they know what kind of food you like so you can try new things. The restaurant is always clean and they are very mindful about illness. Also the food is always perfectly prepared. Hands down my favorite Chinese restaurant in Louisville.
Chengdu Style Restaurant
I just really did not like the food here. It didn’t taste fresh and there’s some sort of coating on the food that taste very weird in my mouth. I’m not even sure how to explain it. Also if you’re vegetarian or vegan don’t eat here. Some of my chicken fell into the rice and he just scooped it using the rice scooper and put the same scooper back in. The kungpao and spicy chicken were probably the worst things I’ve eaten in a while and were idk chewy like gamey and not crispy. I’m sad I spent $14 here. This is how much of my food is left. Just not for me at all and now I’m hungry and my tongue feels weird and I need a pallet cleanser. Edit: i've since found out that the ingredient that is not sitting well with my stomach and makes my mouth feel weird and tingly and made everything else also taste worst is the sichuan peppercorns that they use in their seasonings. I tasted it specifically on the spicy chicken. Some other people I was with liked it and others did not. I especially did not as you can tell.
The dishes were authentic Sichuan flavors. The lamb soup, in particular, was exceptionally tender and flavorful. If you’re a fan of spicy food, this place is a must-visit. The staff were both friendly and attentive, ensuring we were well cared for throughout our meal. I’ll definitely be returning to explore more of the menu!
Dumpling Kitchen
The name is misleading as they serve more dim sum style/soup dumplings rather than pan-fried dumplings. Their food is good, but slightly pricey. My favorite dish/dessert is their jiuniang, which has high protein and high portions. Their soup dumplings were also rather good. The only downside is their stir-fry dishes which were a little too salty. Their menu is quite comprehensive with plenty of options, the staff are responsive, and the ambiance inside is quite nice with a homey feel.
Stumbled upon Dumpling Kitchen while I was in the area. Two of us ordered: kurobuta pork soup dumpling 8 pcs $11.95 beef roll pancakes $7.95 dry braised string beans 13.80 steamed shrimp and pork shumai $11.95 Could definitely go without the shumai. Everything else was decent. Put your name down if there is a line. It was a bit unorganized to get a seat and ordering took some time.
China Dragon
Food was to go and fast. However when we got it home and I opened it up, I started seeing all my sesame seed chicken was tiny bits of more flour than chicken. They sauce as New Yorker was off to light and sweet. By far there is another place I'll go to over this. It's farther and pricey but way better. If your looking for NY sesame sees chicken this place ain't it. My fiance got the orange chicken and his pieces were bigger but still the flavor was way to light. Just ehh. I saw on Google someone else mentioned little bits of chicken so I was hoping it was a 1 time thing, it was not. In the photo I used my finger for reference on how little they are. It was $37 for tiny pieces!! What a waste if I wasn't so tired from work I would have just taken it back!
Pros: Food is fast and it appeals to my taste buds. I like it. I mostly take fried rice, spring rolls. So I can’t vouch for other dishes. I love their hot oil. Cons: 1) No respect for customers as if they are doing you a favor . 2) No customer service at all. 3) You will be waiting outside the restaurant if food is not ready. With Florida heat, it could be a challenge. This is the only place in Jax that still holds on to era of Pandemic
New Fun Sing
I love this place, food is always good. The ice tea is my favorite ice tea lol. The service is just like any other Chinese ran by predominantly men. But they’re not all that bad. Stern is not always mean. But yet that wasn’t my experience. Been coming here for 2 years, my coworkers go here for lunch often they love it. Got this for $13 not bad at all!
Absolutely delicious. I bought a General Tso combo and took it home. 15 min walk. 20-25 mins by the time I sat down. It was still crispy and hot and absolutely delicious. The portions are solid and I always think “I’ll eat half and save half” but once I’m chowing down it’s hard to stop cuz the chicken is so crispy and crunchy and saucy and 🥰🥰🥰 Good stuff New Fun Sing
China Express
SO good! Ordered a General Tso’s with broccoli and house lo mein $21 total. A little bit pricey but after tasting it, it’s so worth it. Both the chicken and lo mein were perfectly seasoned. Chicken was crispy and saucy. Broccoli is fresh.
I ordered a regular dish that was supposed to be $10.25 . I asked them to remove one vegetable in it and add "extra" of another vegetable that's there. "No x, can I get 'extra' y." They charged me $1.50 extra for the "extra" vegetable. I tried to explain to them they took away a vegetable so it's the same amount of food but they said they charge for "extra" even though the sum total was net zero. Also the fried rice was soft/soggy and not crispy which means they don't know how to cook fried rice. They have restaurant grade burners and don't know how to cook fried rice -- what's the point of having specialized equipment then??
New Apolo
Great place for dine in or take out, I’ve wanted to try this place for some time and since I was in the area for lunch time I went with my wife and ordered some Generals Tso chicken with Pork fried rice and orange chicken with pork fried rice. It was very good and we had left overs for later. The attention at the restaurant was good.
My favorite chinese spot. I come all the way from uptown to eat here. They chicken and beef pincho super fire. They chicken/pork friend rice fire as welll as they pollo sin hueso (boneless chicken). Not to forget to other they slushy drink with double shot. They amazing and would get you F up.
New Long Cheng
Why does this waste of space exist? There is plenty of space for new owners to revamp the space and add a buffet. The sad thing is many people order from here because they don't care about decent Chinese food, they just want fat, sugar, salt, and monosodium glutamate MSG.
Tight Space there were 12 people in basically a phone booth waiting to order or to pick up food. This is because they closed their dining room after the Pandemic. They have a whole Banquet Hall I've never saw in Use it's been closed for years and now there's a window you order from. GREAT FOOD though.
Beijing Chinese Food
Over the years, we’ve found this to be on the decline. Tonight we threw half of our food away. Like others, the General Tso’s was not crispy and lacked flavor or really any chicken (all breading). The vegetable rice noodles were inedible and almost threw off us eating anything else. Strong smell of fish and an acrid burnt flavor. Plus the noddles were way overcooked. Chicken in the chicken and broccoli was extremely weird. Didn’t expect much when ordering and got much worse than we anticipated in the end.
It's a take-out joint so service and atmosphere don't matter too much. We have been getting out Chinese food here for many years. For the most part it is very good. Once in a while the soup tastes a little off and the egg rolls aren't all that great (they are filled with mostly cabbage and not much else). This most recent visit though the soup was a little tasteless (hot n sour) and our main entrees were VERY good! When we picked up our food the place was packed. A busy night to get Chinese takeout I guess. Parking is ok. Is usually ok but this night it was a little difficult finding a convenient spot.
Fu Star
Ordered using menu. Being vegetarian I always order mixed vegetables with garlic sauce and ask for hot sauce . This order comes with white rice see the photo which has veggies and side of rice in one bowl. Fortunate cookie and soy sauce/ duck sauce actually it’s not meat sauce but sweet orange like tasting sauce including my tiny cup of hot crushed chilies in oil !! It was a takeout order as they have no seating area. Reasonable pricing as other places parking was sparse as it was busy afternoon time. Located next to Dominos Pizza place / Dry cleaning laundry place / beauty salon/ Family Dollar store…
Been going here for 6 years. Moved a year ago and still come into Binghamton to get their food! Lady has seen my daughter grow up and she's such a sweetheart! She knows our orders well 😊
Grace Chinese Food
My rice had a long hair inside the container. We also ordered the beef lo mein which looked and tasted terrible. We ended up tossing everything and ordering uber eats from somewhere else.
I Have been ordering from them for a while from Uber Eats and I had no idea they were this close to me n this good. I love there food and how they pack it thank you for the good tasting food it’s definitely a worth it meal🔥👍🏽‼️
