Delicacy Chinese Bistro
This place was AWESOME! The roast duck is even better than Flushing NYC and it blew us away! The beef chow fun was full of wok hay and we couldn’t stop eating. Our server was so friendly. Definitely recommend. If you think this place is bad you are ordering the wrong things!!!
Update: We ate inside for dinner and I did ask for fewer vegetables because I hate being wasteful when I know others struggle sometimes with food security. Very happy with the portion size and my request was definitely met. I really enjoy the quality and taste of the rice here definitely 5+ stars and even better its consistently amazing. Drinks are bottled, but they bring you glasses with ice so it was still nice, just be aware its a set amount of soda. Also the server checked on us more often then we needed, but I must say they were super kind and thoughtful. Really enjoyed still getting fortune cookies at the end of our meals. Overall I would give this place a 4.5 / 5 for consistently great food and a kind staff. Wayyyy too many vegetables in this lunch order of mongolian chicken and fried rice! Some veggies are okay but there shouldnt be a 1/3 chicken to 2/3 veggie ratio when I didnt actually order vegetables. 4.5 star flavor, 5 star rice, 3 stars for 1/3 portion of chicken :(
China Kitchen
There's only 2 men working here. They are everyday from 2:30 - 9:30 pm. They have THE BEST PRICES IN TOWN. Their WOK IS PRICELESS. so many amazing dishes have come out of this kitchen and I'm so glad they exist. I always order the hunan chicken, general tso chicken, sweet and sour chicken, lo mein plain/special/or vege. the main dishes come with fried rice and a pork egg roll. TIP: call ahead and give them an hour & 15 mins. It's carry out only.
There is usually a long wait but it is worth it, the amount of food you get for the price is great and it actually tastes good. My favorite thing right now is their hot and sour soup and lo mein, it's so good
Big Wok II
First time here and did pick up order. Food was good and the crab Rangoon was the best I’ve ever had. They fill them more than other places and you feel like you really get your moneys worth. I got the orange chicken with shrimp fried rice and the crab Rangoon. I highly recommend.
Ordered Mapo, was delivered, it was watery, not flavorful and in a soup container. My daughters sweet and sour chicken came with no sauce on it! Also there wasn't a separate container that the sauce was in. Was my hubby's bday, thought we'd order in, what a disaster! Ruined my night. Tried to call the restaurant, they were closed, what a bust!
No 1 Kitchen
Always wonderful! I've been a patron of this restaurant for many years. I used to live in Rock Hill and frequented the restaurant almost daily. Now that I've moved from Rock Hill I don't get to enjoy them as often, but I always visit when I'm passing through. My favorite is the bourbon chicken, but I've never had anything that wasn't great. Everything's always fresh and prepared quickly. My order has always been completed accurately too.
I've been to a lot of Chinese restaurants, buffets, take out, dine in, and this one was probably the worst. If not, certainly one of the worst. Ordered General Tso, white rice and a sweet tea. The Tso had a weird texture, kinda slimy. The tea had like a hint of dish soap taste to it. The part I'm most upset about is the price. For $14 i was expecting either a larger quantity or a better quality, but instead it's just expensive low grade chinese food.
Dragon Express
Went here because the pictures made the food look really good. Super dingy and dirty inside. When I walked in, other customers waiting for food just stared at me. No one was at the counter or came to greet me. I awkwardly waited 10 minutes and decided to go elsewhere. It's probably a good thing though, not sure I trust a place that run down to make my food.
I’m just curious to why the fried rice was so darn brown with no veggies and egg Had a distinct flavor couldn’t really put my finger on but wasn’t a fan. The garlic scallops wasn’t thoroughly cooked it was like a like light toss in the garlic sauce lol everything was warm not steaming hot. Good portion and price just not as flavorful as I’m used too Quick turnaround time too quick lol
Wingwah Chinese Restaurant
This place doesn't look like much, however I must say I was pleasantly surprised how good the food was. Also the price makes it even a better deal. I got Shrimp with Broccoli in garlic sauce with shrimp fried rice. I couldn't stop eating it was so good, so definitely try this dish if you like a little sweet and spice.
Door Dash order - first and only time placing an order at this location. Not sure how you mess up Chicken/Rice Soup ~ However rates like Nothing at all. The Dumplings were “Deep Fried” like as if I asked for them to be well done. (Obviously I did not) Best part of this $$ experience was Fast delivery ~ TY Door Dash Driver. Next time I forget to bring something to work and I all I want is hot soup…I will be better off without eating. Sorry for bad review - however it’s honest and I don’t want anyone to waste $.
Jing Jing Chinese Restaurant
I ordered through uber eats. Unfortunately you cannot right a review via the app. They only use the star system. So I came here to let others know. I ordered multiple items and the food looked great. However after a few bites of my bourbon chicken I noticed a bug. Which didn’t bother me at first cause sometimes a fruit fly may get in food. No big deal. But then I really looked at the dish and was horrified to see that these little bug were in the entire thing. Lots of them. I don’t know what they were. I ended up throwing everything out because I was then worried about the food safety standards they hold themselves to. I personally have work in the food industry for many years and always give places the benefit of doubt. But this was unacceptable and extremely disappointing. Please do better, food safety is very important.
Excellent meal here!! Great Curry Chicken! Eggrolls are delicious too.
Panda Express
I attended the Grand Opening of Panda Express on Wednesday, November 20th. I’ve had Panda Express before, but not as frequently as I would’ve liked because there was not a location in Rock Hill. I was there for all of the Grand Opening festivities which included the ribbon cutting ceremony with the York County Regional Chamber of Commerce, a special performance by the Rock Hill High Band and spins from Elite Entertainment. Also, as one of the first 88 guests, I received a Panda Express branded t-shirt and tote bag. The restaurant was clean and casual while the décor held onto Chinese tradition, but with a modern twist. There was inclement weather that morning, but the staff did their best to keep the floors dry despite the crowd. I must also add that the staff was very welcoming and friendly. I tried a Panda Bowl with Honey Walnut Shrimp and Fried Rice. This entrée was a whole lot better than I thought it would be. In fact, it became my favorite entrée there, beating out the Orange Chicken. The shrimp was an excellent size, the walnuts were crunchy, the sauce was sweet, and the fried rice had a traditional taste. I also tried the Plate option, which came with two entrées and a side. I chose the Black Pepper Sirloin Steak, Original Orange Chicken, and Chow Mein. The Black Pepper Sirloin Steak was stellar as it was packed with the most flavor out of all the entrees. There was also a plentiful amount of steak and the veggies were crisp. The Orange Chicken is a classic dish, which tasted just like I remember it to be. Chow Mein isn’t a side I normally get, but it will be one of my regulars now because I enjoyed it so much at my visit. I also enjoyed the Chicken Egg Roll and the Apple Pie Roll. Overall, I think the food has an excellent quality for the price. I can’t wait to go back to try more and I hope this location gets the Bourbon Chicken.
Absolutely the best Chinese food I have had in a long time, from the moment of walking in the door, being greeted, offered recommendations and the most popular picks, top tier, amazing job guys and thank you so much!! Will definitely be back!
Golden China Restaurant
This was the worse scam I’ve ever encountered and for the prices yall need to be very ashamed of yourselves. I placed a door dash order for a large rib and 2 shrimp rolls thinking it’s enough for the 2 of us. How sadly mistaken was I when I received an order of burnt bones covered in sauce. Literally inedible there was not 1 edible bone in this order and they knew that when the packaged this mess. I’m highly pissed because the ribs alone were $17 which means I spent about $30 on 2 small behind shrimp rolls cause that’s all that could be eaten. If I could give this place a negative 20 I would.
I ordered to go, and when I got home I realized that I didn’t receive veggie chow mein and that my soda was completely flat and tasted old. When I called, the woman I spoke to tells me that chow mein is cabbage, not noodles… it was basically a cabbage soup. The Szechuan wontons have zero spice, even though we chose moderately spicy, and if you have an issue with your order, they leave you on hold while they take other orders. The wonton soup and crab Rangoons were good, but we didn’t like any of the rest of the order. The S. wontons and the hot & sour soup had way too much cornstarch to thicken it, so they were gloppy.
China
I should have listened to the rest of the Google Reviews! Just wasted $13.00 for simple order, sesame chicken, fried rice and broccoli! The smell was off and absolutely no taste or flavor from anything. Had to throw the entire plate away and $13 money wasted!!!! Trust me, read the reviews and find a different Chinese Restaurant elsewhere….
It's a pretty standard Chinese takeout. I wouldn't normally think to leave a review for this. But I felt compelled to, after reading some of the critical reviews. I'll start with my small complaint: chicken and broccoli was watery, and needed salt. Otherwise, everything was great. I'm sure we've all noticed the climbing prices at every restaurant. Today, I was looking for Chinese takeout on the way home, which wouldn't cost an arm and leg. Last time I got Chinese carry out somewhere else, it was $27 for 2 meals! This is possibly the most affordable Chinese takeout in Rock Hill, and the portions are fair. I can only think of one with comparable prices. But they are all the way over on Cherry Rd, so I wouldn't consider them competition. They are also notorious for long waits. Our food was ready by the time we arrived. It was edible and filling. The young lady at the counter was downright pleasant, and her smiling face inspired me to leave some feedback. We will be back for more 🙂
New China
I took a long break from eating Chinese food and unfortunately this place reminded me of why I did it in the 1st place I recently ordered from them and the 1 few times wasn’t too bad But u have noticed how dirty and disorganized their kitchen is Yesterday I ordered again and every bite I took was almost like I took a bite of sand Like a if they dropped my food on a dirty floor and picked up and gave me it After further inspection I found a peace of plastic in my food I immediately throw it in the trash NEVER AGAIN!! Chinese people will served you anything for money!!
My husband and I ordered a wonton soup, orange chicken, Sechuan chicken and fried rice. The broth was good but the wontons were very thick and not tasty at all. The orange and sechuan were good but the fried rice was horrible. Who taught them how to make it?? I am sharing a pic of what fried rice should look like and what we got. For $43 we should have gotten something much better.
Brew
I love this place it's about 45 minute drive to get here but we'll worth it. I love the buffalo chicken sandwhich it's super spicy which i love. They have a great beer menu too and bar with lots of choices. Lots of seating! Parking fills up quick though.
Great selection of draft beers! We tried the seasonal Octoberfest & the Pumking with the caramel rim to celebrate the season. Our burgers were perfectly cooked medium rare & the Buffalo chicken wings were full of flavor — everything was tasty. There was a little kitchen mishap with one of our orders but our server was quick to resolve, and it was much appreciated. Alicia — you were wonderful! Thank you so much for the exemplary service! Another plus about this spot is that it’s open during the week as well in contrast to most restaurants in the area. My partner and I look forward to returning here next time we are in the Catskills!
