Golden China Kitchen

Never again. Dead bugs in the noodles. Throwing the rest of the food I didn't eat out.

Place went down hill from years ago Ordered take out for Christmas ( tradition) Food was Gross Seems they are fluffing their food with celery. Never again; better choices in Plainview

King Wok

Cheapest in price but not in quality! Food isn’t greasy like other places, and it’s the least expensive Chinese takeout I’ve found in the area. Not to mention there’s only a $10 minimum for delivery when other places are at least $15

Love this place. Great take out! The Best chicken and broccoli!

Hunan Cottage

We have been regular customers but have only done take out here and mainly because of the gluten free menu. The food definitely used to be higher quality but we put up with it because we need GF food. However, If you have a large order - Beware! Every single time we have had an order for more than a few items, they subsequently leave an item out. When you ask if you can go through the bag, they brush you aside and insist everything is in there because it is on the receipt. We don’t live locally so it’s a pain when you get home, have your entire extended family over and someone’s meal is missing. Luckily there are some new places in the area with GF menus so we won’t be back.

My friend and I were very impressed w our visit, as the food was very fresh and a visiting family said they enjoy coming here. Also I love duck sauce and the waitress told us they make their own. It was better than the packaged.😉😊💗

Nice Day Chinese Takeout | Plainview NY 好日子外卖店

First time ordering in and was absolutely surprised how delicious everything was. Egg rolls were crispy and really good. Wanton egg drop soup tasty and the pork soup Dumplings were delicious

I've ordered take out from the Plainview location many times and have never been disappointed. Anything you order is almost guaranteed to be delicious! And they have a loyalty program that actually gives you good rewards (like $10 off your bill).

China Dragon

I HAD TO GET A REFUND! I ordered chicken wings and pork fried rice. My wings were old and refried. I never had chicken wings served to me within 5 minutes. I had old cooked veggies mixed with fresh veggies in my friend rice but half the peas were raw and the rest wrinkles and shriveled up. This restaurant should no be open for Business. I regret not reading the reviews sooner.

For 10+ years I’ve been ordering take-out from here, it has always been my favorite. I primarily order Hunan chicken. My experience used to be excellent, I’d say 4.5+ stars. The food used to be very hot, good spice, great umami flavor from the brown sauce and fresh crisp veggies. The rice was very soft and complemented the dish. Now, it is extremely average. The taste is very one note, monochromatic. The quality has declined while the prices have increased (understandable with inflation). I even have given it 3-4 more attempts but same result. I am seeking a different restaurant now. The staff I wouldn’t say are outwardly rude but they’re not happy to see or speak with you regarding your business. They yell and talk quickly on the phone and throw the food at you when you pick it up. Always have to ask for chopsticks. They also charge me $1-2 to add a sprinkle of peanuts into my dish. Not sure if they changed owners, food vendors and/or chefs but this place isn’t good now. In a middle-upper class town full of successful people who like Chinese food I’m sure they’ll be replaced soon. Step it up China Dragon, I hope you read this!

Star Kitchen

Star kitchen has been a go-to for my family for years. The food is always good and tasty . The portion size is more than proportional to the price. Good is always ready on time and staff is nice. The only downside is that the in-store 'atmosphere' is lacking. However, I don't think it needs to be opulent. The store serves as a place to pick up your food and doesn't focus on being a sit down restaurant.

Sesame chicken was completely overcooked. Was tiny pieces of over breaded dark meat chicken which was inedible. Fried rice was undercooked and hard. Would not go again.
