Imperial Orchid
Chinatown comes to Long Island... Yep this could be the closest you'll get to an authentic Chinatown meal without trucking into the city! Take out has been good to us, the General Tso's chicken is the best I've had in or out of the city, nice tender chunks of white meat chicken with peppers, some hot red szechuan mixed in, and a spicy tangy sauce, just so good, we choose this everytime! All the usual dishes you'd expect too, like Egg Foo Young, Chicken and Broccoli, etc. All so good as is their B-B-Q Spare Rib and shrimp toast. We will be back to get the Peking Duck, another NYC favorite, so we'll let you know how it is, stand by. Oh, the Thai fried rice is awesome, pineapple pieces, cashews, so delish! Lots of other Thai specialties too. Save trip take out here. Or, even eat in their nice dining room.
This was our first time here and I am so happy we tried it. The interior was very clean and the staff was very friendly. We stopped in about 6:15 on a Saturday night and it was starting to fill up. We went there for Chinese but I had no idea they had Sushi & Thai as well. I am very picky about Chinese food and really only stick to few dishes that I like. We went with our old stand by.. Chicken & String beans (the husband's dish) & I got Shrimp Mei Fun. As you will see from the photos of the meals, they did not skimp on the servings. They were by far absolutely delicious and one of the best for probably very simple dishes. The food actually had a taste, not like some other places that's just oily and tastes like a burnt wok. The food came out hot, fast and fresh. We definitely will be back again and give the Sushi or Thai a try. ( Which BTW others around us ordered and seemed to enjoy)
Hau Sing Kitchen
Took an hour to get the food had sweet and pungent chicken had the sweet on the side but no pungent insight, rise was flavorless, shredded beef was super spicy and not appetizing at all . wouldnt order there again.
This restaurant has amazing food and definitely worth the trip. These imported sodas are delicious.
China Buffet City
Stumbled upon this place while going to Tanger Outlets & Regal Movie Theater in Deer Park ( mile or 2 down the road). Food is fresh and lunch price is reasonable. Atmosphere is ok, a little dark inside like a sports bar, could be brighter. Overall a good experience. *Just Note* China City Buffet is the same as Hibachi Grill & Supreme Buffet! Look at the address, just a different name. Inside & outside signs are different too, old ones still up on the inside.
We told hostess that it would take us time because of our surgeries to go back and forth to the buffet. Yet she still kicked us out after spending $60 for lunch. Very disappointing! Seemed like they were prejudice against handicapped people. Not a good look. Boo... Sad because the food was good, the dessert bar looked good, but we couldn't taste it because the hostess basically kicked us out and embarrassed us very badly. The nice waitress we had actually felt bad for us. We were thinking about having a family party there, but NO WAY! Not a good place for people in a wheelchair or people with handicaps. In this day and age they should be ashamed of themselves!
Hibachi Grill & Supreme Buffet
I used to visit Hibachi Grill & Supreme Buffet with my family often, especially under the previous management, but ever since the new management took over a couple of years ago, the experience has become incredibly stressful. The biggest issue is the constant pressure from the servers to leave a tip. I fully understand that tipping is customary at most restaurants, but the way the staff here goes about it makes the experience uncomfortable. The first time I felt this pressure, I thought it was just one server behaving this way. However, after returning a few more times, I realized that all the servers do the same thing. It seems like this is coming from the management, as if they’re instructing the servers to pressure customers for tips. This approach completely ruins the dining experience. Buffets are self-serve for the most part, so the service is already limited. Instead of enjoying a nice meal with my family, I find myself frustrated by the constant stress. Honestly, because of the frustration they’ve caused, I’ve even tipped less than I usually would because they’ve ruined what should be a relaxing family outing. The food itself is decent, but the uncomfortable atmosphere created by the staff and management makes it hard to enjoy. Unfortunately, this is why I’ve stopped going to this restaurant and likely won’t return unless things change.
Staff is very rude came in with my husband and dad. Had 3 plates each the server started harassing us every few minutes for us to leave. In the end we realize she charges us 3.50 each for tap water and when we asked for the check she began begging for a tip. Which is rude and unprofessional. I told her i would leave cash but never did. 4 days later the restaurant takes 10 additional dollars that i did not approve of. Now i had to dispute the entire experience with my bank as fraud in order to get my money back. I will NEVER come back here again 0 stars
Top China
The amount of food that Top China puts in their containers is a joke their large General Tso's chicken or any large shrimp dish or any large dish in most Chinese places come in the quart containers they put it in the black shallow black containers and it's not the same amount of food and I just don't understand although the food is okay and taste I will never go back I don't like feeling like I've been jipped
Best Chinese food I’ve ever had!!
Ching Lai kitchen
The food is nasty and overpriced. How do you get pork fried rice wrong? Had to throw it away. Definitely regret trying this place. Yuck!
Never again!! We've been going here for a couple of years but the customer service, the cleanliness and the food have steadily been going down hill. The woman (I believe the owner) has become so nasty and rude. We ordered a couple of take out combo orders tonight and when we picked up the orders she asked if we needed any sauces and we said yes, we need 6 duck sauces. She said "that's too much...will give you 3". We again said we need 6, what's the big deal? She said NO, and then threw 3 little packets in the bag and walked away. We again said we would like more, they're small and she would not even acknowledge we were talking. Her son then walked over and handed us a handful. We will never go again. She's a horrible person who should go out of business. PS - we got home and didn't even get everything we orderd!!
