Fortune East
Ordered a few times from here for contractors who was helping me with some works. The first thing I noticed was their price is above what a typical Chinese-American restaurants in the City would charge. The contractors complained about food being below average. The lady tends to round the bill up even though I was paying using credit card sometimes which seems to be absurd - definitely not coming back again. I do not recommend this Chinese-American restaurant.
Was recommended this place by friends and felt reassured by the 4 star rating. The food quality was extremely poor. Ordered shrimp and chicken fried rice. Rice was stale and tasteless. Appeared to be days old rice, definitely not freshly made. Ordered chicken with broccoli as a safe choice. The chicken was rubbery and hard to chew- could not finish the meal. Only thing that was edible was the sesame chicken which was deep fried and breaded and coated in sauce- hard to mess up. Really difficult to find good quality Chinese food take away in East Queens- Long Island. Will not be ordering again- wondering who could give this place 4 stars.
Empire Garden
I adore this place. The food is of exemplary quality with good portion sizes, and everything is always packaged well for takeout. The fellow that takes orders is quite polite as well. They have some great tasting Chicken Fried Rice and General Tso's chicken, and their Chicken with Broccoli is some of the best I've ever had.
This is not your typical chianese food place , the food is really good , authentic, prices are higher then your local around the way spot, but it's worth every penny. Great food ,nice people and not loaded with brown sauce. Try it, trust me, I will never eat any chianese food anywhere else bit Empire garden 😋 😀 😜
Chef Wang
One of the few restaurants in South Shore Long Island serving up exceptional Sichuan cuisine. 👍👍 Outside doesn’t look like much and I have driven by many times without giving the place a 2nd glance. Inside speaks differently as the Koi pond indicates. The venue is spacious & comfortable. I was an invited guest for dinner after attending a private event with Lang Lang the renowned pianist. His father joined us for dinner. 👏👏 I can’t really describe the dishes since I did not peruse the menu. But I did enjoy each one with a fervor. However, the fish dish did have a pork sauce I believe. Drinks are inexpensive so I’m surprised the bar isn’t packed. The bathroom does need a hourly cleanup as urine was still there 2 hours later. 😅😅 Service is slow and the plates were not changed often enough. Tea was slow to be refilled. Improvements can be made 🙏🏻 10/25/24 3rd time dining here in less than a month. The food is really marvelous. Venue can probably use some new upgrades & decor.
Over the past decade my family ate here many times, we dined in before moving to LI and after moving to LI we mainly got deliveries. Both the quality and quantity of the dishes greatly declined. Such a sad situation to see this restaurant in. This last delivery was the final straw, we won’t be ordering or eating at Chef Wang again. Beef Lo mein was very lackluster, even the color was off. General Tso’s chicken clumped together and the breading fell off on some pieces, the dish came with raw broccoli… at least boil it, it’s not that hard. Sizzling beef on the other hand came with raw pieces of lotus root and cauliflower with beef pieces playing hide and seek amongst piles of dried chili pepper. Double sauté pork and beef in chili oil were decent but just decent, much better back in the day. The only thing that stayed consistent in taste was probably their fortune cookies.
New Jumbo Taste Inc
I use to order chicken wings with chicken fried rice, every time I come into the store the lady would start doing the chicken dance. Once I forgot my Ginger ale and the lady never asked me next time I ordered that I forgotten my soda. It’s not about the soda, it’s about how you keep your customers close. I will NEVER go back to this place !
The food was deserving of 3 stars but the service ruined the experience.
OK Asian Food Express
My contractor bought food here. He said the food is not bad. I decided to give it a try. This is more of a take out place, not a spot to sit to have a good time. I order two dishes. A spicy crispy chicken and a tofu dish. Food is good. I recommend people nearby to give it a try.
We ordered a beef louver (tripe) spicy hot pot soup, sauteed shredded pork in sweet bean sauce (Northeastern cuisine), and pickled Chinese cabbage spareribs soup (casserole). The dishes were all great, and the spicy hot pot soup is indeed in the Northeast Chinese style.
Orient Garden
Reasonably priced, not so expensive. Dishes are not as salty as many places. Traditional settings with food on carts. Smaller dishes start at $4.95. would improve if you add in more spices, like garlic, ginger...
This has become a staple in our restaurant rotation, and I truly wonder how we got by without it all these years. Authentic, good quality dim sum in Nassau. The food from the regular menu is also delicious. This is a great addition to the neighborhood. We have dined in and gotten takeout (many times) and the food is always delicious.
Nova Asian Bistro
Everything that my coworkers and I had was good but there 4 stars was the turn off of the fried rice. There were 2-3 different onions that took over the authenticity of that dish. I couldn't taste the rice, chicken, etc..just onion. Maybe that was a mistake but man if you look at the photos you can see the onion were plenty.
We came to Nova Bistro for dinner and was pleasantly surprised at how packed it was on Tuesday evening. The restaurant is beautifully decorated, and the staff was nice. But more importantly, the sushi were delicious! We had ordered the chirashi, salmon lovers, shrimp tempura rolls, eel avocado rolls, and seaweed salad... and they were all really good. Will definitely come back again.
Royal Tangra Masala
My experience at royal Tangra Masala was brilliant, I ordered the Mongolian chicken, pad Thai, as well as royal Tangra delight. The Tangra delight was very nice with flavors of basil, and signature coconut sauce. The pad Thai also was absolutely sumptuous. The hot and sour soup and manchow soups are pretty good with nice flavor of coriander. Atmosphere was pleasant, with good music playing in the background. Highly recommend.
I ordered the beef chow mien, ginger chicken, and chicken satay. Over all the food came very fast. The noodles were nice and chewy and the chicken was flavourful and tender serviceand atmosphere was good too. Also price is very reasonable so I recommend going 👌
Win Hou
Took my daughter here for take out ; pork fried rice and BBQ spare ribs, comes with egg roll. Standard Chinese take out . She said it’s better than most Chinese take out.
I'm sorry but we will never come back to this Chinese restaurant. It's frustrating when dishes don't meet expectations, especially when it comes to the portion size of key ingredients like meat in a chow fun dish. They need to improve portion sizes, customer satisfaction and quality.
Wong's Garden
Ordered plain lobster sauce. It came looking like egg drop soup. Tastes nothing like lobster sauce I've ordered from other places. They charged $7.45 for a pint size of this white egg drop soup that they labeled as plain lobster sauce. Never ever order from this place again. Those 5 star reviews are fake. Please see the 1 to 2 stars reviews that are posted in between the fake 5 stars reviews. The worst chinese take out ever. It is disgusting that they think they can get away with selling white egg drop soup for plain lobster sauce. You guys should go out of business. I will tell everyone who lives in the area not to ever order from you guys.
We did a group order for our work place .. and i specifically asked the person over the phone if any of the rice comes with vegetables. He responded yes and then also said to add eggs to two of the fried rice . The guy over the phone said he won't charge but i see the receipt they charged for the eggs and gave maybe 1 or two little pieces of eggs .This is not it i paid for an shrimp roll but i didn't get it but the response i got was " it was a large order" This place is a joke . The food was the worst i ever had
New China
Food is fresh and absolutely recommendable. I got the general tso chicken with shrimp fried rice
I wanted some Chinese food for lunch and I placed an order through DoorDash. I ordered their lunch special General Tso chicken with pork fried rice and their Taro milk tea. First, the packaging was well done. They placed all the sauces and utensils in a zip lock bag. My food was placed in a nice sized container and it was still hot. The taro milk tea was decent, just a bit watery. Also the pork fried rice was served with yellow rice and usually it’s not. The chicken was good and it wasn’t dry. Overall, the food was filling and I did enjoy it for my lunch. Price isn’t bad if you order from the lunch special menu. (10am-3pm)
