China Wong's
I ordered online was able to pay at pick up in cash. Online ordering says to allow for twenty minutes for pickup. The food was hot and ready on time pick up was fast and easy. Though I will say this is my first time ordering and the signage out front no longer lights up, the light up menus inside are not functional, and the clutter of boxes and disarray is off putting. That being said the service was fast and the prices fair. Steady stream of customers indicated it is popular amongst locals. Portions were good size, however the quality was a bit lacking on some of the items. The crab Rangoon had very little crab or filling less than a tsp per Rangoon, I threw the majority of them away and this is typically one of my favorite appetizers. The house fried rice was lacking in shrimp, meat, and vegetables. Disappointing for $11.99 for quart. Orange chicken and fried rice was a large portion, some of the chicken was fatty and chewy. An egg roll did come with the entree which I did not realize and ordered two shrimp egg rolls. Tons of food for about $35 just wish the quality of some of the items was better. I would give 3 and 1/2 stars if that was an option.
I do not recommend. I spent $32 on the worst tasting Asian cuisine I've ever had in my life and I've had Asian cuisine from more than 25 states and have quite a few Asian friends that have cooked for me. I order the orange beef chef's special, crab rangoon and got cheese wontons, 2 shrimp egg rolls and the only thing that tasted good was the fortune cookie and plain white rice. Absolutely horrible. This place needs a new chef and recipe overhaul because this was absolutely pitiful that a white American male knows how to cook Asian cuisine than this place does.
China Garden Restaurant
First time using China Garden and we really enjoyed it. We are on a search for a new and reliable Chinese restaurant and I can confidently say we will order again. We got delivery and it was beyond the 45 min wait. The gentleman who delivered was very kind and it was clear everyone else in our neighborhood was keeping him busy. If you live close it may make more sense to pick up your food. The food was delivered with care, no leaks, everything was still hot and it was all very good. My wife loved the general tso's tofu and her steamed vegetables. I'd agree that the flavor was spectacular on the tofu. I got the bourbon chicken and it was good but I'll likely try to find something else. The cook on it was perfect though. We had steamed veggie dumplings and again but we will go with pork next time. The lo mein was delicious and both the brown and white rice were just like every other Chinese restaurant that does rice. They did a very nice job and there is much more to try. Prices are reasonable and I recommend you give it a try!
I tried China Garden, and it was a huge disappointment. The sweet and sour chicken was gross, the chicken with garlic was an unappetizing red color and tasted awful, and the General Tso’s chicken was mostly just breading covered in sauce. On top of that, I got sick after eating the General Tso’s chicken. The food quality was terrible overall, and I would not recommend eating here. Definitely won’t be coming back.
Kings Chef
Food was overall good but lacked in temperature and preparation. Sweet n sour dipping sauce was not thoroughly solidified and most fried food was cold but had good flavor. Their establishment is not heated which may contribute to orders temperature if they sit 5 minutes or longer.
First time at this place. I googled Chinese buffets in the area, this stop was an accident… there’s no buffet lol. I enjoyed the food. I wish the chicken was a bit more crispier though. The MSG wasn’t high in the food as well. Give this place a try. I will return while in the area
Asian Garden
Would give 0 starts if i could. Went here on a monday because china wong’s was closed on a monday. Food was disgusting. Sesame chicken and chicken wings were not cooked all the way. egg rolls tasted old. Will never eat here again
This is basically a take out place so atmosphere is a non starter. Woman at the counter was polite and efficient. No issues with my order. Once home the food was very tasty. Pan fried dumplings were a little over done but still tasty. Lots of stuffing. The egg roll was also very good. All in all I will be coming here instead of king chef. 8/22 My sisters and I have grown to love this place. The food is excellent. No issues with anything we have ordered. It's become our new favorite Chinese restaurant for takeout.
