Lung Hing Kitchen
I have been going here for years, consistently good ,friendly a small family business.
The last order we placed only had 2 to 3 pieces of meat this particular meal, it was such be 2 different meats, there were plenty of Rice and Veggies. Very Disappointed and Soup meat wasn't able to eat, it didn't taste right. This very unusual, because we've been ordering from for for 15 years. I wanted to call them, but I didn't. I should have to let them know what happened. We weren't feeling well after eating some of the food. Sorry, we love the food usually, this one time was Bad.
Good Fortune Cookie
hey they've been here a long time. pretty pretty normal Chinese food. nothing to write home about. nothing to complain about.
I work real close to it and it's great Chinese food
Thai Basil Lindenhurst
Came here for a late lunch on a Saturday and we were sat right away. The place is very clean and tidy, but nothing exceptional on the eyes in terms of ambiance. The real star of the show is definitely their lunch specials though. We ordered the Pad Thai and the Pepper Noodles, both with chicken. A perfect sized portion for lunch that comes with a drink and is only about ten bucks a person is about one of the best deals that you can find around these days. Deal proposition aside, the food is also delicious, I was craving a second bowl of noodles after the first and already had me thinking about what I was going to order the next time I come back. Would have liked if the waitress checked in on us a little bit more, especially since we were the only two in the place at the time! But we were still well taken care of at the end of the day and she was very polite. Parking can be a little tricky being right on Wellwood, you can park along the street, but I'd recommend veering off to the side streets for one of the municipal lots or parking just on a less busy street.
My friend was in the mood for an Indian, chicken and rice dish. There's no Indian restaurants near us so I suggested we find a Thai place. We decided on Thai Basil Lindenhurst. Food: We ordered the curry samosas, and vegetables chicken dumplings as an appetizer. The chicken and vegetable dumplings were delicious. The veggies gave them a nice crunch and the chicken was seasoned well. The coating on the samosas was too airy. You could tell they weren't homemade. The filling was lacking potato. The samosas were the only food i wasn't crazy about. I ordered the Garlic Chicken entree. The spice was perfect. Decent amount of chicken. I don't like mushrooms, but whatever they did to cook them dried them out a bit and made them slightly chewy, but in a good way. I enjoyed them. A lot of bamboo shoots. I mixed my rice in and it made it even better. Service: The service was okay. The staff was friendly. Food came out fast and correct, but we had to call someone over for a water refill and for the check. If we didn't we would've been there a while. Otherwise, no issues. Atmosphere: The restaurant was quiet, but kinda boring. There's a lot of space and it looks clean. Its just kinda empty. They could do more to decorate and it would go a long way. Overall, I definitely want to try more dishes and I'm looking forward to coming back
Chopstix Chinese Restaurant
Do not waste your time with this restaurant the food was flavorless, small orders, and their pork fried rice tasted like the pork was old. Couldn’t even eat it. The eggrolls had no flavor at all this sesame chicken I asked for a large and to me it look like a small compared to other Chinese restaurants I’d rather drive miles away for a decent meal I’ll definitely never go back there again. They need to wake up and do a better job or close up and leave.
Love this place, wish they were on Grubhub, but still worth it for my favorite rangoons and Mongolian beef.
Damashkey Cuisine
Fresh ingredients, flavorful and delicious food!! Great service. I love all the menu items and can’t wait to order out every week. My favorite menu item is the kebabs with garlic sauce. Chicken is always so juicy and perfectly spiced. So good!!!
Food was incredibly fresh, packed full of flavor and generously portioned!! I got the chicken shawarma wrap, my husband got the chicken shawarma plate & Greek salad + we split the falafel. We took some baklava to go and shared it with our neighbors. Will happily return soon
Hunan Kitchen
i ordered food 28 minutes before closing, i got the tso chicken the food was hot and it was good the rice is also good it has a red color to it the only down side is delivery time it took 1hour and 10minutes to get here
I had dinner with my family today and ordered seven dishes from this Chinese restaurant: fried chicken wings, sesame chicken, green pepper beef, cheese wontons, fried dumplings, seafood, and Singapore fried rice noodles. The portions were generous and the taste was great. Surprisingly, this Chinese restaurant also has desserts. I ordered passion fruit green tea and taro bubble milk tea, which tasted great. I will come here often to order such delicious Chinese food in the future.
Red Sun
I live nearby and really want a decent Chinese takeout place in the neighborhood, but, this isn’t it. Ordered House Chow Fun and Pot Stickers. The Pot Stickers were very doughy, not delicate, reminiscent of frozen and re cooked, but large enough to be a meal in themselves. The Chow Fun was a mish mash of mushy beef, chicken and shrimp that had no texture or distinct flavor of any of the ingredients. Very, very disappointing. Maybe other choices are better prepared, maybe not.
I was skeptical to order from here, based on reading all of the poor reviews. Our food was absolutely delicious! We ordered the pork egg rolls, beef teriyaki sticks, chicken egg fu young, and chicken with cashews. The pork egg roll took me back to my childhood, when I had Chinese food with my grandparents in Chicago. The secret is the peanut butter-and they are so good! Our food was fresh and hot and we had plenty of left overs!
Sammies of Lindenhurst
This location recently changed gyros meat supplier. It's now pale and disappointing. I visit from out of state and have always made a point to get to Sammies. I will try another place for gyros. Milkshake was sour. Cheese sauce tasted like water. Cheap mozz sticks. Fries still great. They added gambling and lowered food quality. How exciting
I've probably eaten here about 20 times since they've opened. 1. I have never had any mistakes or poorly made food with my orders. 2. The young lady who works up front is always nice. Takes my order perfect, With no hassles. Quick, easy in & out lunch that always hits the spot.
Yummy Yummy
UPDATE:03/24/2023:I order lunch special roast pork with broccoli, it was literally all rice reasonably amount of broccoli ..BUT ....where the hell is the ROAST PORK? (Image below) .I TOOK IT BACK . Was shorted about 38 cents and was given attitude . I ordered same dish multiple times never was this dam cheap. Never again I pay over priced msg Chinese food. This business no longer honors online coupons. This restaurant use to give coupons with amount of $ you spend. They no longer do. You used to be able to pick coupons depending on how much you spend . Then you no longer could choose because the restaurant just chooses for you...now ...there is no longer coupons. December 2024 Taxes $2.80 Delivery charge: $2.00 Tip: $3.73 Credit card fee (when using a debit card) Spare ribs with beef lo mein $17.80 Total of $42.28 Food is over priced and small portions. It only taste good because they use "MSG" (not posted)
2 hours for food? Absolutely not worth it. “Too busy” next time will order elsewhere.
Good Taste Chinese Restaurant
I've been going here for 20+years. I normally enjoy it but recently I've been noticing a difference. The quantity is much smaller and the price is more. No more fortune cookies, no napkins. I understand inflation. What I don't understand is why the woman behind the counter didn't want to give me one more paper plate when my food was leaking through the single paper plate she already gave me. That's really cheap and disappointing. I won't be going there anymore. They just lost a customer of over 20 years.
Not a good experience. Had a very difficult time just ordering with the person on phone and then of course wrong food was delivered despite my repetition of selections throughout the ordering process. It was our first time ordering here and I guess we are just to used to others we usually order from. Food was just eh. The general Tso was good and reminiscent of some we used to like elsewhere in the past. My husband said the egg roll was the worst he's ever had as tgere was virtually no filling. Lo mein is weird and tastes like horseradish so that was a bust for what is usually my son's favorite. I couldn't eat much of my meal because it was wrong. Won't be ordering again and with so many better options in Lindy, I'm annoyed we triwd something new and wasted the money here. Live and learn.
Kirin China Restaurant
A no frills Americanized Chinese food restaurant that sells lottery ticket at the front desk. The General Tso Chicken with fried rice was quite greasy but price was reasonable.
We loved the food!! My party ordered several Chinese combination platters and a sushi platter - it was excellent. Even delivered, the food was hot, tasty, and filled with protein, when they're usually filled with either rice or vegetables. We're definitely ordering here again.
New Empire
I love their food. The boneless spare ribs are my favorite. Very nice cuts. The best! And good fried rice. Great place to order.
Delicious food at great prices. I had it tonight with my family and we all agreed this is our new goto Chinese Food place. We had the sesame chicken dinner, the sweet and sour chicken dinner and the chicken and broccoli dinner with wonton soup. It was delicious and was less then $40 for a family of four.
