Up up
Mala Tang is delicious, you can choose what noodles you want, and there are four side dishes.
First of all, we came in and said that there were three of us. When we came in, we had already ordered all the meals. I went out to pick up my friend and we came in and asked again. I thought it was to confirm, so I told him again what my friend wanted to eat. But the service attitude of the staff here was super bad. They brought the extra food and forced it on me... They said that the food was already out, and we must eat it. I immediately felt speechless. There was a problem with your ordering service, and I was held responsible. Later, the boss came out and said forget it, and refunded our money! The service attitude really affected my mood. Later, I left without finishing the food! I was in a very bad mood! And there is almost no meat in the flat meat. It may be their specialty, but I don’t think it’s that good!I will never come back to this store again!
Mr Q
No frills hole in the wall casual spot for some skewers and drinks! We thought the skewers were plenty flavorful with their seasoning, moist and not overdone. Service was quite quick! We ordered: Squid, Lamb, Chicken, Fish Tofu, Taiwanese Sausage, Korean Rice Cake.
Mr. Q BBQ & Noodle in Brooklyn serves Chinese-style skewers, noodles, and snacks and is particularly popular for late-night dining. Despite the small space and cash-only policy, the service could be improved as my request for non-spicy skewers was disregarded.
Golden City 煌嘉囍宴
We were at this really for a party. It’s very spacious, with sections available for banquets and parties. Interior is not so modern but good enough to dine in. They make some really delicious food though. I got to try the shark fin soup, shrimp walnut, fried tofu, steamed fish, seared steak, lobster with garlic sauce, all were super tasty. The soy chicken was little dry though. For dessert coconut jelly was so good, I am still eating them a day later. The staff were amazing. They made sure all the dishes were served in time, cleared out empty dishes, gave us fresh new small plates, and helped us to pack leftovers. I had a wonderful dinner here. I would not mind coming back here if I am in the area.
expected atmosphere from a traditional chinese restaurant. it’s chaotic with loud chinese music, guests who are waiting for tables are just everywhere, and the food is what you expect. we came for dim sum on chinese new year and didn’t wait actually because we were a big group. the downside is at one point they straight up said the kitchen couldn’t keep up so dim sum came around somewhat slowly.
Uncle Wang
This place use to by my go to spot for years but over the years it has sadly slipped down in terms of quality and affordability. The food was good but not great. My wonton soup bowl while dining in tasted strongly of dish soap and the fried Mei fun was too watery. Also the portions are much less and i wasn’t full like i used to be from 1 order of noodle. The peanut butter noodles also had too much sauce and became too wet and salty towards the end. I would not return here as there are so many spots that sell this food for better price and better quality.
I went here on December 11th 2022 when I wanted to show my non-Asian friend some authentic Fuzhounese food in a setting without smokers. We tried to go to a few other restaurants and found there were a lot of guys smoking inside so we decided to search for Fuzhou food and stumbled upon this cute little restaurant. It is a tiny space, with only 4 round tables that can fit up to 6 max and a counter by the window for 4 people. I checked about the smoking situation and the woman working at the counter told me that there was no smoking allowed. I ordered a few of my favorite FJ dishes (drunken spare rib tips and taro, Fuzhou fish balls, fried thin vermicelli noodles) and of course had to get some dumplings, even if they aren't specifically an FJ dish. Everything was delicious and absurdly cheap. Even if the restaurant's decor and service are no-frills, it makes up for it in the flavors and the prices. This may be my new favorite FJ restaurant on 8th Ave (esp. because of the no smoking situation).
Kings Kitchen
You can find the authentic Cantonese style Rice Casserole here, many different favors with reasonable price. You can tell it’s cooked with the casserole since the rice absorbs all the favor and very yummy, essentially the crispy rice on the bottom of the casserole. My favorite is the preserved Meat Rice Casserole and the he bitter melon with black bean sauce.
Good rice rolls and clay pot rice! Kings Kitchen makes a large variety of Cantonese dishes. I generally always get a clay pot rice and the rice rolls with fried fritters. I ordered the poached egg with beef but do check out the preserved meats clay pot rice that is another great pick! The rice gets nice and crispy on the bottom and is my favorite portion to eat. The restaurant itself is getting a bit beat but I wouldn't say it's a dirty place or anything. Think very utilitarian, come in and eat but don't expect a cozy or cute ambience.
Great Wall
I felt angered by the person serving me/ taking my order they gave me the impression of a bad attitude(makes me think what did I do. I tried to be very nice and courteous). Asking anything is greeted with like "whatever is in that menu , etc" "No" I also asked if they can prepare broccoli with crab meat for me. To which not word for word she replied No they do not make that. How hard is it to mix broccoli with crab meat that is already available in your food chain? My favorite Chinese restaurant has no problem doing it as long as they have the ingredients anyway. Yet she'll make fried rice with crab meat with no problem. I will still think about returning here. I only came here or come here because my favorite Chinese Restaurant is closed on Mondays. The food here is ok. I'll give them likely another chance but this happened twice to me. Maybe for other people they might be nicer this is based on my observations for me only.
I ordered Singapore mei fun and as I was eating I noticed a piece of aluminum mixed in my food. I’ll never order from this location again.
18 Stars Kitchen
Bad, terrible service I order the chicken and bbq pork combo. The bbq pork is very thin just few piece and the chicken just few pieces and two of them only a bone and skin no meat. I don't know why they give me such as bad order? They look very unwelcome customer to their store,
Got food poisoning from ordering the roasted meats at this place. Not good.
Kam Hai
This place hits the spot. Legit and reliable American style Chinese food. Ordered delivery numerous times and was always happy with the order, large portions and tastes good. Shout out to pork fried rice
Went in to get Chinese food cuz i was craving it i didn’t get much but i did feel that i spent a little too much the spare ribs were 15.50 for a large i also got two egg rolls and a large container of rice my total was 25$ the food was good however it just seemed like a lot to spend. They do seem like very nice and friendly people my food was also made expeditiously i don’t feel as though i waited for more than 10 minutes.
Golden Dragon Kitchen
Pretty basic Chinese take-out spot. Nothing special but it gets the job done. It’s a frequent spot that my coworkers and I order from. Food is always hot, orders are always made fast and are always correct.
Solid Chinese spot, generous serving. No frills restaurant but decent lunch specials
Grace Chinese Food
My rice had a long hair inside the container. We also ordered the beef lo mein which looked and tasted terrible. We ended up tossing everything and ordering uber eats from somewhere else.
I Have been ordering from them for a while from Uber Eats and I had no idea they were this close to me n this good. I love there food and how they pack it thank you for the good tasting food it’s definitely a worth it meal🔥👍🏽‼️
Panda Express
The Panda Express makes awesome food which is decent, but this Panda Express atmosphere is unclean, and the staff are unprofessional. Jacob, in particular, is rude, unhygienic, and aggressive toward customers, even engaging in harassing behavior. The team's hostility and impatience are unacceptable. Immediate action is needed, starting with Jacob's dismissal.
I only ordered the vegetable rice and walnut shrimp and honey sesame chicken. Every time I order from here not only that is pretty pricey but they give you a little bit of food. You get 2 scoop of entree and two small scoops of for one scoop of meat. If you get any more than that probably favoritism. I tried not to come here as much cuz I feel like if I'm spending $15 my plate should look like $15. I noticed for $13-$19 I get more food buying from Chipotle.
Number One Garden
I guess I should’ve checked the reviews before ordering food for delivery. The cheese wontons taste so bitter and the dipping sauce did not compliment or make it taste any better. Usually cheese wontons have a bit of sweetness to it..this was pretty bad. The general Tso chicken with rice was not good. The chicken fried rice was awfully BLAND and no taste. The sizes of the chicken pieces were questionable? Didn’t look like chicken and wasn’t crispy at ALL. Wasted my money but that’s common trying to find a good Chinese restaurant in NY!!
This fast food. Chinese food made for Americans. Inexpensive, quick, filling with good sized portions. If that’s what you are looking for then this around the corner restaurant will do fine. They offer space to sit down and eat in, takeout, or delivery. The place is small and you can see all the cooking happening in site as you stand at the counter.
