China pavilion
Amazing Chinese food restaurant in Island Park on Austin Blvd. Great location with a big parking lot and spacious restaurant. The food is great for dine in or take-out.
This place went above and beyond our expectations. From the street it's not much to look at, but the food and service are outstanding. Everything we ordered was full of flavor, not to mention extremely fresh and not overly heavy/saucy like most Chinese restaurants. I definitely would consider this "upscale" Chinese food, not your average takeout. Jimmy, the owner, is awesome! He really cares about his customers and even brought us popcorn chicken to try (which was on the house, and INCREDIBLE). The cocktails are great too. HIGHLY recommend this place - you will not be disappointed.
Island Park Chinese Restaurant
If you want the best, authentic, jaw dropping Chinese food in the world, go to this place. I am not lying, when I tried the general tso's chicken, a literal tear dropped from my eye socket. If I could choose one restaurant to eat at for the rest of my bedazzling life, I would choose my local pizza place, but this is a close second. I am not lying, this pizza is so good, a tesr dropped from my literal eye socket. This pizza is great. With fresh mozzarella, dough, and store bought tomato sauce from Trader Joe’s. Trader a Joe’s is bitterly my favorite supermarket in the southern, western Long Island area that’s less than a 100 feet from the meadow brook highwa. The meadow brook highway also happens to be my favorite highway, but Long Beach road is a close second, Long Beach road is great, it has my favorite Chinese restaurant in the whole world, that gave me a tear drop when I tried the general Tso's. So yeah, or you Panera, that’s pretty good too.
Best Chinese food take-out in town! Incredibly humble and friendly owners keep me coming back time and time again. Their chicken and broccoli has been a favorite of mine since I was a kid growing up.
Panda House
New favorite take out spot! I hade the general tso combo and the chicken was amazing! Big pieces of solid white meat, and the sauce was delicious. The fried rice that came with it was amazing as well, and the portions are large.
Food is freakin delicious. 🤤 best wonton soup EVER. Crystal dumplings reminded me of childhood and growing up in Flushing. They are pillowy and sticky and perfect. Dipping sauce smells insane (and is pretty good). Also got plain lo mein - I always get that at Chinese restaurants because I love the texture of lo mein noodles but end up dousing them in soy sauce to taste something, anything. These were light years ahead of needing anything but chopsticks or a fork. So bouncy and so so yummy. Sautéed string beans were nice and garlicky and sesame chicken was wonderful. I felt like every bite of this meal was better than the next. Thx!
