Jade China
We like to come all the way from Poughkeepsie to Fishkill just for their food. The chefs and staff are friendly and nice. We enjoyed visited this restaurant, they have the big fish tank, enjoyed watching the goldfish while waiting for the food. We love the house special mei fun and beef chow fun, a great balance of the ingredients.
I love this family business so much! I always get my homestyle beancurd with garlic sauce and its AMAZING every time. The quality of food is spectacular. Its always extremely clean here and the owners are such good people. They are always so kind as well as their kids. I tried it out here for the first time only a month ago and now I’m a loyal customer. I also want to add as someone who is having a sad Christmas this year I’m very grateful they are open. Made my day, thank you.
Golden Buddha
Beautiful place with Buddha decorations, relaxing and calm, we could do meditation. The waitress was very welcoming and nice. Thai tea was very very good. We had chicken satay as an appetizer, red curry, basil Thai fried rice, level 3 it was very spicy but still tasty. Also pad Thai noodle with tomatoe sauce, it was different from some other pad Thai I had before, more sweet/salty flavor. It tasted like authentic Thai spices, it’s a pretty strong flavor. As a desert, we had banana sticky sweet rice with coconut cream, it was light and delicious. We enjoyed every bite!
I can’t recommend this place enough. What a great find! We went here yesterday as a group and the food and the service was impeccable. They have a lot of vegan and vegetarian options and they accommodate greatly to make your meals for that. Also, what’s amazing about this place is it’s good for spicy food lovers and non-spicy food lovers. My friends and I love spicy, so we could order things level-5-Thai-spicy, which we enjoyed so much. On the other hand, for our spice intolerant friend, they made things mild. This is the attention to detail that we really value and that keeps us coming back. The drunken noodles were the best that I ever had and the green Thai curry. Save some room for dessert, because the mango sticky rice is amazing. Also, a unique dessert that I got to try was the fried cheesecake. It was so delicious. The staff are so friendly and welcoming. Thank you Mix for the amazing time !

Food was excellent! Service was wonderful, the food came out quick (5-10 minutes). The waitress/hostess was working super hard to get the to-go orders to everyone waiting and taking calls. Two other workers made sushi. The atmosphere was calm and the walls were sea colored. I liked it very much. I ordered the bento box that included: miso soup, salad with ginger dressing, cali roll and a teriyaki roll. You can select 2 other options and you there’s plenty to choose from! I chose the salmon teriyaki and the spicy tuna roll. I also ordered gyoza as appetizers and a bubble tea. Miso soup: super simple and delicious Salad: simple as well and the dressing was light California roll and spicy tuna roll: very good, though not spicy. The tuna roll had a nice crunch which was great. Teriyaki roll: my favorite, super crunchy with salmon (I think) inside and sauce on top! So good! Salmon teriyaki: not over cooked with delightful sauce with some grilled onions, carrots, broccoli and shredded zucchini Gyoza: a bit smaller than what I expected but it satisfied my cravings! Bubble tea: my least favorite, not the best one I’ve had. A bit bland but the pearls were chewy so that’s good. Totally recommend and would go again!
This is my favorite sushi restaurant. The fish is always very fresh and always consistent top quality. The special rolls are delicious too. They have a great lunch special deal for many different types of food/sushi. They are extremely friendly and treat me like family. The hot green tea is very healthy. The restaurant atmosphere is relaxing and chill. I visit this restaurant many times each week as it a healthy option for me to eat out at regularly.
Toro
Very good Korean food, a surprise to find this far north. The service and ambience are quite nice and homey, it wasn’t too busy so the food was quite quick. The menu is surprisingly large so I’ll have to come back to try the other Korean and Japanese options. The kimchee pancake was extremely crispy, the crispiest I’ve had, but quite good if you don’t mind the fried-ness. The Yukaejang was also quite good and traditional tasting. The squid bibimbap was also quite good.
The sweet potato fries is crispy and tasty. So is the fried oyster. Service is kinda slow but waitress lady is pretty friendly and attentive.
Tanjore Cuisine Of India
I have been going to Tanjore for more than two decades but never written a review. So, it is time to correct that & express my gratitude to a restaurant which under the new ownership of Kamraj, is even better than ever before. Located in the plaza next to the Fishkill post office plaza, it is small place that excels in quality Indian food. I love the buffets served every day of the week, with Saturday & Sunday offering more variety. From fish in coconut sauce, goat meat biryani, lemon rice, aloo bhaji & puri, cauliflower 65, very moist & delicious tandoori chicken, which I like to dunk with some of the sauce in the chicken tikka masala. There is something for everyone. If you are going for the first time, try the buffet to discover your favorites. The servers, Thiyagarajan, Cyril & Ivo are friendly, welcoming & eager to please. Highly recommend!
Finally! Found a true Indian cuisine taste in the area. Wow! They did not disappoint. The best part it was out of chance and Google 😆. My entry point is always Dal and some Roti. Took it mild as to be able to appreciate the flavors. It took me to a place that I had only reached back in Taste of India (Astoria, NY) and some other place in Miami I can’t recall. It felt natural, made in house, fresh and made by someone that care to preserve and show us what good Indian food feels like. Thank you! The atmosphere is calm, clean and clear. Well organized and distributed. Neat and quickly rearranged, you feel you are the first one going in. The service was also up to expectations. Very attentive and diligent. Cyril and another young gentleman took good care of me, even when my order was perhaps simple or not big. I felt welcomed.
Trattoria Locanda
A Delightful New Year's Eve at Trattoria Locanda My wife and I recently had the pleasure of dining at Trattoria Locanda, a place we've visited several times before. Our most recent visit on New Year's Eve was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we walked in, we were enveloped by the intimate atmosphere that Trattoria Locanda is known for. The warm lighting and cozy decor set the perfect tone for a memorable evening. The food, as always, was outstanding. Each dish was a testament to the chef's skill and dedication to authentic Italian cuisine. The flavors were rich and perfectly balanced, making every bite a delight. The service was impeccable. The staff were attentive and friendly, ensuring that our dining experience was smooth and enjoyable. They were knowledgeable about the menu and offered excellent recommendations. What truly sets Trattoria Locanda apart is the overall ambiance. It's a place where you can relax and enjoy a wonderful meal in a welcoming environment. Whether it's a special occasion or just a casual night out, Trattoria Locanda never fails to impress. We look forward to our next visit and highly recommend Trattoria Locanda to anyone looking for an exceptional dining experience.
We were out of town from MD to visit family in NY. Found this gem when looking for restaurants near our hotel. Main St Fishkill was decorated so pretty for the season as was the restaurant. Service was wonderful and meals delicious. Pricing and portion size gracious as well. Wish near our home because so many menu choices and daily specials. We enjoyed calarmari, bruchetta, came with fresh bread, a lg side salad, side pasta, veal franchese and zuppa seafood were main entrees and finished with tiramisu.🎄❣
Gymkhana Cuisine Of India
It's a nice small restaurant situated in a strip mall. The name of the restaurant is so catchy unfortunately its far from everything. Food: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Food was excellent everything we ordered was cooked accordingly. I would recommend the Kodi vepudu and lamb mapas. The chicken biryani pretty good, however wasn't authentic. The garlic naan was extremely garlicy. Atmosphere: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The restaurant was recently renovated and on a Thursday evening the restaurant looked pretty packed with frequent and diverse customers. The bathrooms are massive and so clean. Service: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Although the service was pretty good, it's hard to give 5 stars only because each time I said thank you, there was no acknowledgement of being cordial towards the customer in return. The person who took the order however was very good and was engaging in conversations with everyone making them feel welcomed and comfortable. The dress codes of the waiters aren't very appealing to the eye especially when they are stained. The TV kept playing baseball instead of playing Bollywood music or something of Indian tradition. Advice: Get new dining tables and chairs, they look 15 years old and don't match the atmosphere. Use authentic Indian wall hangings and ambient lighting.
Taken here by friends who really love the food here. It was amazing, very authentic delicious flavours and aromas. They have my favourite naan (peshwari) and a great variety of curries. The service was very good and friendly. Nice relaxing atmosphere and obviously popular, with lots of customers in and ordering out
Sushi Village
I’ve been meaning to review this place for a long time. I’ve been coming here for about a year now, and I’m always impressed with their fast service. The waitstaff seems to know my order by heart because I always get the signature poke bowl with spicy mayo, a detail that really adds that personal touch. It’s a great value, the poke bowl comes out in a bowl that’s about the size of a football helmet and costs under $20. It’s a lot of food and it’s always delicious!
Good food and service but the cost had really gone up for all you can eat plus they don't offer ice cream anymore. I dropped a star for that.
Hudson Buffet
On 10/28/24 at 11am I went to the buffet in fish kill to get take out. Once I got home I decided to eat my takeout for lunch before work. I noticed a something suspicious in my food that looks like a insect. I instantly called the Chinese buffet to explain to them about the this thing in my food that looks like a insect, they asked me to send pictures which I did. After that, I haven't heard nothing more from them. So I decided to bring the food back to show them before work. The lady at the buffet told me it's mushroom. I never seen a mushroom that looks like that! . It was literally in the bokchoy containers and there wasn't any mushroom in the bokchoy vegetable containers when I was getting my food. They refused to give us back refund. While getting your good I notice there's flies flying around the food and dessert. This was my favorite buffet but they gave me a wake up call yesterday to never eat chinese food ever again!
Avg typical asian buffet style food. Grabbed mine to go. The braised pork belly was my fav item. Check out rep not very personable or acknowledged me.
Wing Sing Kitchen
We ordered beef and broccoli and all we got was broccoli, broccoli , broccoli. Just wanted what we ordered “Beef” with broccoli. Please don’t ruin people’s dinner like that.
Very friendly and always delivers on quality of the food. I always recommend this place to everyone I meet and no one has ever been disappointed! Best Chinese in the Hudson Valley! My favorite!
Green Garden Chinese Restaurant
Personally, I thought this restaurant was awful. My meal tasted as tho it was loaded with salt. The staff were constantly screaming at each other in Chinese, The service was awful, my wallet got stolen while I was there, there are several really good restaurants in Fishkill, but this place was not one of them in my opinion!
We've tried at least four different places in the area, and this got the highest marks across all four dishes. We tried sesame chicken combo, wonton soup, Singapore mei fun, and szechuan beef. The beef wasn't spicy but still not bad.
