Kai's Asian Restaurant
What can I say.? A great standard in Chinese takeout in Long Island. Kai knows what to do and even celebrated our order with complimentary donuts. They always either throw in an appetizer or a dessert and oh boy is it fantastic. When you have a large number of family over and want a quick and quality solution, Kai’s Asian restaurant is the place to order from. Would I recommend this to somebody who likes Chinese takeout food? Too late, I already have.

Jade Garden Chinese Restaurant
I really wanted to like them. I got recommendations from FB I ordered General Tso chicken not even a whole floret just a couple of pieces of chicken tossed in sauce in my 8.75 order. Presentation was poor portion looked like somebody ate my food but I picked it up myself. The lady was so sweet but I just can't if this was what they present on a slow day.
Ordered delivery the other night. Was told 35mins for delivery and it took about 1hr 20mins. Every time I called the lady hung up on me saying “1 second! 1 second!” On the theID call I said I wanted my money back and she just kept repeating he's outside.. finally I get the food (at least it wasn’t cold) and the taste was not there. My expectations for Chinese food are low because it usually all tastes the same but this was beyond anything I’ve had! The triple delight Beef,Chicken,Shrimp only had 1 shrimp in it! 🤦♂️ I really don’t know where these positive reviews came from because the whole experience was atrocious! First and absolute last time ordering from their!
Golden House Restaurant
These guys are great. Located in a strip mall on bay shore road right off deer park ave. This place reminds me of my Brooklyn lunch days. My signature go to order is always "half chicken, chicken fried rice" I constantly find places with the same menu options but these guys are just as authentic as what I'm used to. No frills store front with local culture walking around and a smiling face behind the counter. There's no seating, you'll wait about ten minutes for your food (they're busy constantly) But if you call it in on your drive, bet your last paycheck it will be ready by the time you get there. Delivery driver is super friendly, woman behind the counter is super friendly and never once did I ever walk by or stop in and not see one of the chefs at work. These people work hard, serve great food and cook with love. I support this place over any others in the area. Thanks guys as usual! -Mike 1056
I have never been so disgusted by Chinese food in my life. Spit out the Burger. Can't even describe the taste...raw sewage maybe? My chicken and broccoli was covered in a gelatinous goo. Hard to describe, but so nasty to look at it I couldn't even bring myself to taste it. Tasteless egg rolls barely fried. I notice all the good reviews are all more than 7 months old. Maybe new owners? I can't imagine any repeat customers at this place. Wish I could get my $$ back.
Grand Buffet
Overall a good place to grab a bite. The atmosphere was good and with no loud music. The first thing I notice when we walked in was that they had a bunch of tables dirty. And that's something they need to work on because it was not a good impression. Anyway, to the food: They have a good amount of food to choose from. The only thing I didn't like was that some of their food was cold! I never got a refill on my soda and my waitress was not very attentive. But the majority of the food tasted good so it's okay.
This place has definitely improved as far as the food goes. I decided to give them a try after about one year passed due to the quality being super low on my last visit. To my surprise things have taken a 360. There is now a hibachi grill up next to the sushi bar. The food was super fresh and aplenty. Happy things took a turn here. The waitress wasn't too great though. She never came and asked if we needed anything throughout the entire time. Didn't get any refills or anything.... So no tip for her. But I'll still be back for the good food.
Chopsticks Cafe
There could be either malice in the minds of those leaving bad reviews or just got a fluke experience. We’ve been taking-out from here 15+ years. Everything we get tastes good, and at a good value. The service is genuinely friendly and attentive. The portions are very generous. I get a quart size meal for myself ($12) and eat two or three times. Now it’s no Spicy Chen, but it’s good food for sure. Deer Park is blessed to have this little gem. Shame on anyone falsely tainting the efforts of an honest establishment.
This is the worst food i have had since moving to Texas. Ordered orange chicken which is a staple of any good Chinese spot. It came out orange and dull looking, had weird smell, and worst of all bad taste and texture. Not sure if the chicken pieces were very little and mostly soggy breading or if the meat is imitation. With each bite couldn't help but think please don't let this be rodent. The sauce reminded me of dirty dish water. Rice is below average but edible. Would not go back. Threw it out after a few bites. Waste of money. I've never ordered food and it be so bad I throw most away. Service was suspiciously fast which makes me think food may be old and the heated up. I have had street food in third world countries for a third of the price that tasted twice as good. Also parking lot and drive through isbuneven. Was worried I might fall in a ditch if I wasn't careful.
Chinese & Japanese Restaurant & Take Out
Delicious food !The boss and the staff are very kind!
Great place
Golden Star Chinese restaurant
This place has very good food. It's also a real value because the portions are right on. When everything is good, you'll keep coming back. Very nice menu as well. The staff is nice so as a whole, it was a winning experience. I live right across the street which is just luck, lol
Waited an hour for our food, no Biggie. We had Chinese food delivered to my basement apartment. Delivery guy rang our doorbell and just opened our door without permission. Luckily it's a small laundry room before our apartment... but he opened the door and yelled hello after only just ringing the doorbell a second beforehand. I don't know if the guy has done this to anyone else, but you do not open someone's door. THAT IS NOT OKAY. Our fault for leaving it unlocked, but that gave him no right to open the door to our home because he is in a rush. Very disappointed since we have been ordering from here for a few years now, but we won't be coming back.
Peking Gardens
Cane here for the 1st time, and the food was great. A bunch of my co-workers placed an order, and I was sure that they would get something wrong, but everything was perfect. Great food and even the women behind the counter were great. She threw in some free wantons because we spent so much. I got the boneless pork and it is prepared differently than most places do. They use chunks of ribs rather than the thin stripes many other places do. Dumpling were great!...recommend 100%
Always amazing, they go above expectations every time!
Chung Wah Kitchen
There's nothing wrong with the atmosphere in this take out place but it's very basic. The food is on the better side. They offer some things most other places won't which is good(and they're also missing some things that many other places have, such as skewers). Truthfully, their fried rice seemed better(with a rare yellow rice option) and their egg foo young was prepared better(and tasted better). My only complaint was how long it took to make and serve us(which might be an indication of them taking their time for a better product, always acceptable for this reason). Most people should like this restaurant. The food isn't bland.
I used to eat there very often till one day many years ago the chicken was old and tasted bad. I asked the younger son to just make me beef with broccoli and dong git get to give me a new plate because the chicken is bad. After eating the beef w was ith brocui hog yo the bottom of the dish and there was a piece of that bad chicken. I left as one dollar tip and never went back.
F•A•N Chinese Cuisine
Food alone deserves a 5 star! Let me help out this local hidden gem here. I love Sichuan spicy food. They’re very authentic. There are non-Chinese people eating here too, but all we ordered are authentic classic Chinese dishes. Service is okay. Servers should be more conscious of changing dirty plates & refilling tea, but I’m not gonna give it a less than 5 star rating because of it. Price is fair and amazing given the current situation. Look at all the photos in this review. Before tips, they cost less than $200. What’s more important is that the chef is legit. Every dish was great. I hope this restaurant gets busier!
Was very unhappy and didn’t enjoy the food it was burned and horrible. I spent over $81 dollars for this. Will never order from there again.
Cheung's Garden
Very very good Chinese food. We tried this place at work looking for a new Chinese spot in the area. The service was super fast. Order was ready in under 10 minutes. The service was very good and the food was very tasty. The general tsos chicken was very good with white meat chicken and a little kick of heat after. The boneless spareribs were delicious and the sauce was very sweet The chicken and broccoli was a fan favorite and everyone seemed to like it that got it.
Most consistent Chinese takeout spot I've had. Food is always hot and fresh. Plenty of sauce with the dishes, some places are hit or miss with the amount of sauce in the dish. Usually come here for lunch because it's local, but for now on when I am home and want some takeout I will drive the extra 15 minutes because it's so worth it.
Nice Day Chinese Takeout | Deer Park NY 好日子外卖店
Saw this place pop up recently and was really excited to try it. It definitely didn't disappoint for the most part. I got a few items with my family and i definitely saw a lot more that i want to try next time i go. Their soup dumplings were a little dry and not that satisfying sadly. Dumplings were good. Got the sauces on the side because my family isn't that into spicy food. I ordered the mapo tofu that was definitely lacking in some flavor. I asked for it to be spicy and i wasn't that impressed. My family did try it and say it was spicy so maybe my tolerance is just high but i definitely wanted that satisfying flavor from a good Chinese spice. Chicken was delicious and crispy. We got char siu fried rice with it and it was great. i think the prices and portions were great. Looking forward to coming back to this place
I read some good reviews on this place so decided to give it a try. I ordered the Hot & Sour soup, cheeseburger egg roll and sesame chicken. Everything was so fresh and delicious! If you get the cheeseburger egg roll, the mustard relish is amazing. Definitely ordering from here again; can’t wait to try more dishes!
