Amazing food with lots of authentic Chinese dishes. The shrimp in black bean sauce is always a must. Staff is friendly and accommodating. We have come with my one year old granddaughter and my 95 year old mother and everyone had a great time and loved the food. When my kids visit from Washington, DC and NYC, they always want to go to China Lake.

Easy ordering and pickup experience. Bourbon chicken and pork spare ribs are top notch. Tried their General Tso's wings and was blown away by the unique taste and texture. They offered for my kids to play with some games & toys while they finished making our order, and I thought that was very generous and thoughtful. Definitely worth the price.

With the opening of Hunan Hut, the search for bourbon chicken draws to a close. An oddly lacking dish in the area, the chicken used is thick cut cubes and tender, drizzled in a sweet sauce with bell pepper chunks and broccoli. The food ordered is made hot and fresh with a little bit of wait time when orders start stacking up in person and for delivery. The seasoning is on the light side, but flavorful so you are not overwhelmed with sweet or salty. The service is top notch with the person running front of house being patient and polite. Seating area is dimmer than would be seen in photos with other elements of ambiance and atmosphere likely to be filled in time as the grand opening progresses. Good new favorite Chinese on the west side closer to BU.

I order from here very often. Place has never disappointed amazing flavor always cooks our orders perfect. They even have a way of making white rice tasting better than anywhere else! Absolutely love their food and how fast their service is

Fast with Excellent customer service food was great I had lemon chicken which had no description on the menu but basically big piece of fried chicken cooked with lemon put on top of lettuce and lemons and cut into pieces and they give you a big tub of this juice with lemons on it was pretty good but so not I repeat so not save it for left over it will get very soggy the breading I mean the general tso's was very good it actually had some heat to it which was good for a change post places don't make it spicy enough. This was literally only the second place I have found in the area that actually have cheese wontons and they where great a little little bigger than I'm used to but had lots of filling in them and were nice and crispy but not burnt at all over all this is an amazing place to get Chinese food and I would definitely recommend coming here as I will for sure in the future. The only this I would recommend is that they add a bourbon chicken to the menu as that was what I really wanted and am sure they could make it but is not on the menu still though the food they do have is great and made with care

They have alot of dishes on the menu that I want to try. Food was good and service was friendly.

I usually order my food 3 Star hot spicy. They offer large portions and honor the spicy level you wish to enjoy. My wife orders 2 Star levels she is adventurous too! Hope they improve the menu's to offer more English translations.

Ordered delivery. Right from the store, they don’t make you go through an app so we got exactly what we wanted. It came fast. It was hot. It was absolutely delicious highly recommend

Walked in placing an order that was ready in less than 10 minutes. Ordered shrimp egg rolls and sesame chicken with fried rice. The shrimp egg rolls were quite scrumptious. The sesame chicken was unsatisfying taste wise. It lacked flavor and was quite greasy. Portion size was in line with other Chinese take out spots leaving me full.

A hidden treasure!! The food here was amazing! The sesame balls were fresh and literally to die for! I ordered the tomato and flounder dish from the traditional menu. It was superb! And the woman behind the counter was very welcoming and friendly😊

We went for lunch and ordered off Lunch specials. Food was very good and so was the service. We had the garlic chicken. 😋

Excellent fresh and delicious food. The hot oil is actually very spicy which has been rare in other similar settings! For now it's our new favorite even though it's not around the corner. It's worth the trip!

Food was very inexpensive but still pretty tasty. Got a couple of egg rolls and the garlic eggplant dish. Egg rolls tasted exactly like the ones I love from every Chinese restaurant... The eggplant had a comforting, easy taste to it that was not very spicy and the white rice that came with it was fine. The people working at the restaurant were all extremely friendly and got our order out to us very quickly. There's a little cemetery from the 1800s that you can walk to down the street while your food is being made, and the park is right there if you want to eat it outside. All told for the price it hit the spot and I will likely go back there every so often for a tasty bite.

The food is normally fanatic but the last two times I have order from here has not been the best. I'm not sure if they are cooking there chicken wigs different but it does not taste right, and it's is soggy. They also got a new take out container and its so messy. I will not be ordering for a while just not the same

The person that runs the place does everything by herself including prepping cooking and cashiering. She's quick and efficient. She makes a special order for me when needed. The place is clean. It's very small. this is mainly a takeout type restaurant. I ranked her five stars for atmosphere because the place is clean. But I would not eat at the restaurant. There are three little tables. To the person that commented about the lunch menu. It is printed on the back of the dinner menu. She also speaks broken English, so she may not have understood what you were asking for. I have never had bad service here.

Talk about your 'diamond in the rough'! We rarely have the luxury of dining out together these days. That said, we have our first local favorite spot! The energy in this place equals the super friendly and efficient staff &&& some of the finest lunch and dinner choices big enough for a king (portions). You won't wait long as they are prompt but you might just make the time to peruse their small indoor garden;-)

This place is hit and miss - sometimes very good - sometimes not. Large chicken and broccoli was ALL broccoli. ALL. My daughter doesnt really eat the broccoli so I paid 12.75 for sauce. Raise your prices if you have to. This was an ABSOLUTE RIPOFF. I had $20 to spend on dinner on a Saturday night and thought I'd treat my daughter because she wanted your food. I would have rather just donated you my money over the phone, instead of wasting my time walking to your store just for both of us to end up hungry. See those specs of chicken? That's as good as it got. Night completely ruined because of CHEAPNESS, thanks a lot.
