Wok n Fire - Burr Ridge

Wok n Fire in Burr Ridge, Illinois, proved to be an ideal spot for a Friday evening, offering a seamless experience from start to finish. Despite the absence of drinks in their happy hour specials, the regular drinks menu did not disappoint. The blue martini and old fashioned were both expertly crafted and added a touch of sophistication to the evening. When it came to appetizers, the selection was diverse and flavorful. The pan-seared dumplings were a standout, prompting us to order another round, while the chicken lettuce wraps and spicy tuna roll provided a satisfying variety of tastes and textures. The addition of yakitori beef added another layer of indulgence to our meal. The service was exceptional, with our waitress exhibiting warmth and attentiveness throughout the evening. It was heartening to see her training a new team member, a testament to the restaurant's commitment to maintaining high standards of service. Overall, Wok n Fire delivered an enjoyable dining experience, making it a noteworthy destination for those seeking quick bites and quality drinks in Burr Ridge.

Ordered takeout for a total of $81?!! The lar nar is crunchy I almost broke my tooth. It used to be soft noodles. Didn’t give me soy sauce for my sushi. The lar nar was cold. Honestly a waste of money coming here.

Ate in before and this is not my first carryout. But this is my 1st lunchtime take out. Ordered 2 entrees. Food is always good, but portion sizes for the price is outrageously and insultingly small. See photos.

Average food, okay if you’re really craving Chinese. Definitely overpriced compared to others. Never order on Christmas, as we ordered take out and were told 45min, and instead, arrived and had to wait in this line for an hour. Food took twice as long to come out. The restaurant cannot handle busy crowds. Spent $40 for two dishes.

First after picking up my order I was given the wrong food. Had to go back and pick up the right order. The Sesame Chicken was dry, broccoli was not cooked. Crab Rangoon’s were old and dried out. Teriyaki chicken was good and fresh. Called to let them know she told me I was lying about the chicken and would give me credit for the old crab ragoons. So disappointed. Really wanted a good Chinese place to order especially when I work long hours at the urgent care.

Avoid this place at all cost. Absolutely disgusting. I have never in my life had tougher or dryer beef and chicken. Lo mein bone dry and flavorless. I cannot imagine how this place stays in business. I spent over $70 on something I wouldn't be comfortable feeding my pets. So disappointed. Actually pretty pissed!!

It used to be good 2 years ago. Not anymore the new employees are messing this place up. I have food allergies so I expect to get what I order and that's not what I got. This lady started to clean my area excessively and made me feel unwelcome. The cleaning liquids made me sneeze a lot plus she wasn't good at cleaning at all, there were big chunks of food on the floor after she " so called" cleaned. She was very rude and disrespectful why is she "working" here? The only thing she looked like she was able to do is give the other employees hickeys. 🤢It also took a long time for my order, my food had never taken this long to be given to me. I had to take Benadryl afterwards. 😞

How does a Panda get 3 stars? Walking in with my wife and kids I greeted the staff jovially and was answered back with the sound of crickets. 🦗 I don't expect everyone to always be in as great a mood as myself, but the atmosphere was worse than dead, almost unwelcoming. Angie was the first to make contact and got our orders underway. We got 2 three item plates and had some of the new sizzling shrimp. It was spicy, as expected, but otherwise just tasted like shrimp. Not bad. Just shrimp. There must have been over a dozen employees and traffic was pretty steady. We must have caught the staff at their lunch though b/c a half dozen were eating on their break. It really felt like I was in a prison camp. The sour looks and attitudes were a huge turn off. I finally got Angie to come out of her shell and smile. After that she was a gem. She gave me all the things I kept forgetting and with a great attitude. That nights saving grace. I've never been to a Panda that I didn't like. Foods clean and scrumptious. Restaurant clean and atmosphere exciting. This night got 2 out of three. Juan was the manager on that night and I praised Angie, but didn't tell him that the room felt foreboding. Whatever got the crew bummed out that night is hopefully just a temporary thing.

Excellent food and very clean and comfortable restaurant. Everything we ordered came out delicious. My husband dropped his wallet and left it, and the server ran out to the parking lot to return it to him. Very kind and honest staff! We were very impressed by the whole experience. This is a great, quality place.

It's fine, nothing bad about it. I just personally prefer overly processed mom and pop Chinese food. I'm weird.

We order takeout from here often and the food is always amazing. It's never greasy like some other Chinese restaurants and delivery times are spot on. We usually get the house lomein, pork egg rolls, bourbon chicken and fried dumplings but we've tried other dishes and they were all just as yummy!

This place used o taste so bad now.. what the it's like different place love their food and it taste way better now. Try chicken and broccoli

Very tasty dishes that were piping hot! The service was efficient, not the friendliest, but they were fast. The restaurant while quaint, focuses more on take-out than dine-in, so the atmosphere isn’t the coziest, but it’s still cute. All in all, I would go back in a heartbeat!

This is the worst Chinese food I’ve ever had. If the lady at the front wasn’t so incredibly rude and miserable, I’d probably not have written this. But being treated awful for just being there in addition to the really lousy food, I feel it had to be written. Just to be clear, I didn’t customize anything in my order or take my time to order - I knew what I wanted - she took 3 minutes to even address that I was there and then was awful when she said “what you want”. Took my money without saying how much it was, threw the change on the counter and acted like I did something personal to her.
