Hunan Kitchen
The Chinese food is just amazing. I ordered chicken fried rice and chicken. The food was so delicious that it’s one of the best Chinesefood I have eaten in this area. definitely recommend this restaurant and I will definitely order from here again.
Real deal Chinese food. Mostly takeout, but they have a few tables for dining in. Very nice people, excellent service. Reasonable prices. Adequate free parking. We thought the fried rice and lo mein were tasty. Crab rangoons are good also. Sauteed string beans were outstanding.
Hibachi Grill & Supreme Buffet
Same Buffett style everywhere. Friendly staff, table could be cleaned a bit better. Attentive staff taking away our plates from the table. Had some of my fav clams. Limited sushi rolls selection though. Had more ice cream selection than I expected. The salad section was very sad. Fruits section had a decent amount of choices. Price so affordable.
If you're in the Edison, South Plainfield, or Piscataway area and searching for an affordable, no-frills Asian buffet experience, Hibachi Grill and Supreme Buffet is worth a visit. Located conveniently near the ShopRite on Oak Tree Road, this buffet offers a wide variety of Asian dishes with a particular focus on Chinese cuisine. Upon entering, you'll notice the space is a bit congested, especially during peak hours. The popularity of the buffet often leads to a crowded environment, which can feel overwhelming at times. However, if you're willing to overlook the cramped setting, you'll find a diverse selection of dishes that cater to a range of tastes. The buffet spread is extensive, featuring a variety of soups, appetizers, and entrees. You'll find staple Chinese dishes alongside other Asian-inspired options, with plenty of chicken, beef, seafood, and vegetarian choices. The quality of the food is what you might expect from a budget buffet—satisfying but not exceptional. One of the highlights of Hibachi Grill and Supreme Buffet is the live Hibachi station. Here, you can customize your meal by selecting from a variety of meats, including chicken, beef, shrimp, goat, and even crab. You can also add vegetables, eggs, and noodles to your plate. The chef prepares your selections on the spot, using your choice of sauces and spices. It's a fun, interactive experience that adds a fresh element to the buffet. The dessert section is typical of what you'd find at similar buffets, with options like cakes, cookies, and ice cream. While the dessert variety isn't vast, it provides a sweet ending to your meal. As for the dining experience, the ambiance is functional but far from luxurious. The seating can feel a bit cramped, and the overall decor is basic. You might find some of the utensils and cups to be less than ideal, with plastic cups being a common sight. However, these minor inconveniences are balanced by the buffet's affordability. Prices vary between lunch and dinner, with the dinner menu offering a slightly more extensive selection. Overall, Hibachi Grill and Supreme Buffet provides good value for money, making it a popular choice for those looking for a budget-friendly dining option in the Edison area. If you're not expecting fine dining and are simply looking for a place to satisfy your craving for a wide variety of Asian dishes, this buffet delivers.
