Sushi Palace
Came here an hour before closing because we were craving sushi last minute. Good menu and reasonably priced, great place to go for all you can eat sushi. Their seaweed salad is the best I’ve ever had. Can’t wait to come back!
Finally, I am making a review for this location. My one and only experience here was horrible, in terms of the experience, not the food. The Food wasn't too bad, appetizers were good, and the sushi wasn't that bad either. However, this is where it went downhill. My toddler wasn't feeling well after eating something, so as he threw it up, my wife caught it in her napkin. Our server, who never greeted us, never smiled, never checked up on us, never told us to enjoy our meals, nothing that resembled service, all of a sudden comes to our table, points at the napkin, and accuses us of hiding sushi rice, by making a scene, saying "You can't throw rice away, there is a penalty" After worrying about our toddler, that soon turned to anger as we were insulted by the false accusation. My wife got extremely upset and told her what happened and then blank faced, she responds, "OK, her threw up? Oh ok." And just walks away. No apology. No asking if my toddler was feeling OK. Just walked away. We were so upset and didn't want to continue our meal so we asked for the check, but here's the kicker. She said she can't give us the check until we finished all our food. We were incensed. I asked to speak to the manager and she said there is no manager. Then she says, "I'm sorry, it's my fault, ok" but the tone she used when saying those words were very ingenuity. Not wanting to deal with her any longer. I inhaled our giant platter and asked for the check. She brings the check and then proceeds to ask us "Do you want dessert?" I legit thought I was in a Hidden Camera show, or an episode of "What Would You Do?" I don't care if staff has changed, and improved, because although the restaurant was contacted after this incident, I never got a response. Unbelievable.
Prince Tea House
We had the whole tea house for a private bridal shower. The atmosphere and decorations are beautiful. The food was delicious. The tea settings were adorable. All went off without a hitch due to the wait staff having everything prepared and brought out in a timely manner. The day ran so smoothly and was applauded by all.
Stopped at Prince Tea House of Princeton on Rt 27 in Kendall Park, NJ. This is a hidden gem to seek refuge from daily hustle and grind of life. Take a break and recharge yourself with great refreshing teas, drinks, and freshly prepared food. Today, I recharged myself with: 1. Lemongrass, Ginger, Carrot Herbal Tea with honey. 6/5. I had the full pot - 4 cups. This really helped with my score throat. 2. Romaine Vegetable Sandwich with Fries - 5/5. This vegetration sandwich was part of the specialty menu. Prefectly toasted bread with crisp Romanine lettuce and arugula micro greens, fresh tomato slices and cucumbers, with fresh feta cheese and light dressing. This was an amazing sandwich a must try (ask the staff to cut this sandwich in half for you). The double fired string fries were mind-blowing. Please stop by this gem to reconnect with yourself and recharge yourself. Plus, come with family and friends for fun outings as well.
Eno Terra Restaurant & Enoteca
The pan seared octopus appetizer was outstanding. For my entree, I got the spaghetti pescatore. Honestly the dish had so much flavor, I really enjoyed it. I had always noticed this restaurant in the past while walking near the river there off route 27. I’m glad I finally tried it out! I’ll definitely be coming back. Nice local spot.
We came to sample the 3-course $45 dinner for Restaurant Week, and it did not disappoint. Great curation, starting with well-dressed fresh greens and tartness from the kiwi in the Jersey Salad, moving on to a symphony of vegetables in the Pastaless Lasagna, and ending on a very indulgent note in the Flourless Chocolate Torte. I look forward to trying out more creations from this beautiful restaurant. Complimentary valet can be hailed after dinner via text.
Ming's Garden
I can see why the reviews are not consistent and pretty varied. I ordered the fried rice and chicken wings for $10.60 and they only came with about 3 wings and 2 drumsticks. Very expensive considering the amount of food provided, but the food was cooked well. The the owner said she’s been there a long time so I guess that was consoling.
Easily best Chinese in South Brunswick. Don’t know why it’s so under the radar. Chicken wings rival any fried chicken anywhere. High level wontons in the soup. Egg foo young top notch. Seafood boil real deal. Call/order from their website. Much cheaper. Do not sleep on Mings Garden.
Royal Garden
Nice old school New England Polynesian Chinese restaurant. Plenty of seating with the bar separated from the general area. Old school Chinese decorative interior that adds to the ambiance. Our server, Jessica was awesome! Out of all the places that I have reviewed, they might have the best orange crispy beef that I have ever had. Everything is made in house. Their egg rolls are old school with a celery base, absolutely delicious! They are very generous with portions and the prices are extremely fair. Unlike most, on a regular PuPu platter you get 4 pieces of beef teriyaki and extra chicken fingers and lots of boneless ribs. I'm excited to go back and try their Peking duck! Definitely worth checking out!
This is my first time having food at the Royal Garden. The vibe is fascinating, and the food is shockingly good. It reminded me of the great Chinese food I had during my childhood.
Peking Tokyo
I ordered a takeout dish which was fine, not the best but fine. However, what compelled me to write this review is the fact that the free egg roll had pork in it. I double checked their menu on DoorDash and even there it was mentioned as a pure vegetarian dish. I am like many others in the reviews still recovering from this. I just wanted to go support a local business and it turned out to be a horrible experience.
I’m just now recovering from this place. Ordered take out four days ago and haven’t stopped having diarrhea. Not just any diarrhea, but blow out, almost have an accident type of diarrhea. This place will make a grown man shit himself. Awful experience and will never go back….. you’ve been warned.
