Happy China
It's a real bummer when what's supposed to be comfort food is just a disappointment. I've ordered consistently from this spot for over a year and a half, always getting pretty much the same thing, and the food was definitively worse across the board tonight. General Tso's was gummy with zero crispness to it and tasted not sweet at all, more like a garlic chicken?? Beef and broccoli was swimming in a thin broken sauce. String beans were okay, but just nowhere as tasty as what we had before. I won't bother calling to let them know since previous reviews indicate that they don't care at all for constructive criticism or making good for their customers. I won't be ordering again.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! "I recently ordered from this Chinese restaurant, and unfortunately, my experience was quite disappointing. The delivery took over an hour, which was already a frustrating start. When the food finally arrived, it was far from what I had expected. Firstly, I received the wrong order. Instead of the dish I had ordered with a description that included 'tender filet of chicken breast deep fried,' I got cold veggies in a flavorless white sauce, along with pieces of fried chicken that were tasteless and had bones in them. To my surprise, there was also omelette and bacon on top, which were not mentioned in the description. I also ordered fried wings and a wonton soup. My order was supposed to come with white rice, but it was missing. I called the restaurant to inform them about the missing items as I was also missing my beverages. Unfortunately, the response I received was less than satisfactory. The person on the phone seemed dismissive, asking if I was sure about the missing sodas instead of taking responsibility and offering an apology. In the end, I waited an additional 30 minutes for the sodas, but by that time, I had already eaten the wings and the soup, which were the only decent parts of the meal. I spent close to $40 on my meal, and unfortunately, it was a frustrated and unsatisfying experience. Not only did I receive the wrong meal, but it left me feeling hungry and irritated. This kind of mix-up can really put a damper on the dining experience. Overall, this experience left me disappointed, primarily due to the incorrect order, the lack of apology, and the overall quality of the food. I hope the restaurant can improve its service and attention to detail in the future."
Hoja Asian Fusion
Walking into the restaurant, the rich aroma of spices and citrus was immediately tantalizing. I ordered the orange chicken, a dish I had heard was a crowd favorite, and it did not disappoint. Each bite was a perfect symphony of flavors – the chicken was crispy on the outside, yet tender and juicy within. The sauce was a masterful blend of sweet and tangy, with a hint of garlic and ginger that danced on the palate. The vibrant orange zest shone through, offering a fresh and zesty contrast that elevated the dish beyond the ordinary. It was served piping hot, with the steam carrying the enticing scents that promised and delivered satisfaction. The portion was generous, draped over a bed of fluffy white rice which absorbed the sauce beautifully. This orange chicken was not just a meal; it was a culinary experience that left me eagerly anticipating my next visit.
This food court style restaurant is inside Rutgers campus, there is no service, you take your dish and find a seat. The food was average, mostly individual bowl, good for college students.
China Magic
This place is the most solid and consistent American Chinese restaurant in the entire New Brunswick area. Portions are fantastic and the food is always so hot and fresh. They are happy to accommodate my vegan partner by subbing tofu for meat in already vegan dishes.
This is the 2nd time here, and the food is above average. I had the Hunan Chicken and soooo glad they weren't scared to make it spicy like it should be. The wonton broth is very flavorful. And the hunan chicken was spicy and very savory. Otherwise perfect. I will be getting it again. The service is great and the restaurant is clean. It's mostly a take out joint, but its nice to be able to eat at a table when you spend your day driving around.
十秒到云南过桥米线 Crossing Bridge Rice Noodle
We are invited to try this rice noodles ! The experience is amazing ! The broth is right at point for me! Will recommend this for friends and families
Food was delicious, place was clean, waitress was nice and friendly, price was fair, and portion was good, what not to love? We had 3 rice noodle soups (tomatoes with fish fillet, mushrooms with vegetables & original), all excellent! Radish with hot sour sauce was very refreshing. Pumpkin pancakes were not bad, but wish they were not fried. One of our favorite restaurants in Edison.
China Wok
The customer service was good but the food was disgusting I order orange beef and it was just soggy flour no beef the fried chicken dumplings were not worth the money the chicken wings tasted like I could’ve made them no flavor it didn’t taste like Chinese chicken wings.JUST DON’T DO IT AND THE CRAZY THING IS HE SHOWED ME A PICTURE OF THE ORANGE BEEF AND ITS NOTHING WHAT HE GAVE ME.
So I stopped by tonight to pick up a late dinner for the family. When I went to pay, I used my Google wallet, quick and easy. However, when I went to enter my pin number on the handheld card machine, it was sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo dirty, that I hard to say something. I was like with all the germs going around and people touching this machine, why is the card machine dirty? He laughed and said yeah I know. What the F! I got my food and left. As I sat in the car, I see him whip out what I think is a clorox wipe sheet. First off, you need a brillo pad to scrub that card machine then you need the wipes. And, them you may have to scrub it a second time. To be honest, I can't even eat the food as I type this. 1. Please clean the appearance of your restaurant, where your customers enter. 2. Clean that darn card machine PLEASE Thanks Concerned Customer - Never again
Yummy Yummy
I usually order delivery and they are usually pretty fast. Food is good. I only gave them four stars for service because occasionally they didn’t accept credit cards. That hasn’t happened recently though. Not really a place for eating there. More for pick-up and delivery. Getting a little pricey since Covid19 inflation hit, but still feel it’s my best option for Piscataway/south Edison.
One of the ladies that worked there is the most beautiful lady I've ever seen in my life. Her eyes were so amazing that I forgot what the food taste like. I want to marry her.
Szechwan Ichiban
Great for a food court style small restaurant, while the dishes are not authentic, they all taste great. The portion is good too. However the bubble tea and sushi are not the best.
I ordered a bowl of rice, vegies, and sesame chicken this afternoon, and then I got food poisoning and spent half an hour vomiting in the bathroom, which caused me to miss my exam. The food hygiene was substandard.
