Thai Spice
The food is excellent. It's not the greatest to dine in,Very quiet, small very slow service. They have a huge takeout service which is probably why the service is slow.I recommend take out instead of dining in. But the food is very good vegetables are fresh. The menu has a great selection. Very friendly.
I love the food from this place. It might not look like much from the outside but the food has been consistent over the years and very good. Reasonably priced also. Their salads are enormous with just the right amount of ingredients and their seafood dishes are superb. Great for take out or delivery also as the food travels well and arrives fresh.
Boom Thai Restaurant
Lunch comes with a salad or soup. It was great for the cost of $12 even though I wish I had more rice to soak in the orange curry.
Nice place to get authentic Thai food. The food is flavorful and the staff is friendly and accommodating on all requests. The atmosphere is nothing fancy, but the food is good. The drinks are well made and the lunch specials are a good deal. Worth stopping in and trying the food.
Aromas Peruvian Cuisine
We did take out for the first time. Place was clean. Staff was friendly. We got the whole chicken which included French fries, fried rice, salad and a 2 liter soda. The whole chicken was small and dry, but flavorful. A little pricey for the size. Fries were soggy, we prefer our fries crispy. Salad was fresh and the dressing was delicious. The green sauce was just ok. Overall, we’ve had better, but it’s the closest Peruvian place to us.
Ambiance- ⭐️⭐️⭐️When you enter you get the feel of Peruvian restaurant. Interior is mostly wood finish. Spacious. Slightly smells fishy- it dint bother me but they have scope to improve on that part. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Staff is very welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable. They serve you the best possible way. Initially they rushed us for order but once they knew we don’t know much of the menu and will take time they helped us. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Food was average on taste not that great, May be I was expecting too much, but overall the meat and fish was fresh, and ingredients were perfectly balanced. I liked the drink they served. Some corn juice. I would highly recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️the restaurant.
Edo Korean Japanese Restaurant
2024 update: No change, except it's even more expensive now, and the quantity is even more ridiculous! One small piece of Tamago, $4.99. One small piece of imitation crab, 4.99. Miso soup, a bit watered down. Fish on rolls was so thin you could see through it, but not even taste it, all for $14.99 each! Total bill for two people that left hungry? $67.00! Won't try a third time. It's absolutely ridiculous! There should be a law against restaurants this bad. 😲🫤☹️🤣 Can not recommend on any level. Avoid. 2022 review: Obscenely expensive. The price of the meal was outrageous for the quality and quantity of food served. The "Princess Roll" ordered was $12.99 and was mainly cucumber with a hint of apple. The crab inside was so scarce that it could not be tasted. Miso soup would have been better if made with instant soup mix available at any Japanese food store. One very thin piece of Tamago (egg) was $2.99. The waitress served it cut diagonally, then informed me that it was actually 2 pieces. 🤣 The Yukgaejang, a spicy beef soup, ($15.99) was absolutely tasteless. No spice, no taste, no flavor. I left hungry, $45.00 lighter, and feeling a bit "ripped off." Without doubt, the worst Korean meal we've ever eaten, anywhere. I can not recommend this restaurant on any level. There are too many other good choices in the area.
Always my go to food after a long tiring day at work. Prices went up but it’s still worth it! Bibimbop is really good together with the sauce. Side dishes are also good and can always ask for more. Overall, good food! Just wished the price was a little small.
Zul Cafe and Grill
Having moved from my mom’s house for a new job after graduating college this past May, I’ve been yearning for a taste of my mom’s Filipino cooking. After typing “Sinigang” into Google maps (my favorite dish), I found that this establishment was only 20 minutes away from my new home. Let me tell you, the cooking at Zul Cafe and Grill is up to par with my mom’s cooking (of course nothing can ever beat mom’s cooking, right?) My Filipino taste buds are very happy that this place exists. The hot food is great, there’s a variety of snack options to purchase, and the staff is very friendly. I even chatted with the owners for a while during my first visit here and you can tell they are dedicated to their business. They’ve earned my regular patronage, as I’m sure they will earn yours. I highly recommend visiting!
This was my second visit and for our first time here would have rated this place 5/5. Maybe we visited on an off day but I didn’t enjoy our experience as much the second time around. Came in with my kids, ordered three boba teas (one strawberry and one taro and passion fruit black tea)…my kid’s strawberry milk tea wasn’t sweet at all, my passion fruit tea was too sweet to the point that I couldn’t drink it). They do have a nice selection of Filipino snacks, tried the shrimp chips and the crispy fried chicken skins, both of which were delicious. Ordered the grilled shrimp with rice for my kids to share and the pancit Bihon for me. My order took 40 Minutes, by the time it was ready my kids had finished eating and were ready to go and I had already had some of my kids’ shrimp and rice (which was delicious and quick to arrive) so I ended up taking it to go/ not eating it. The restaurant is literally someone’s house that’s been converted into a restaurant, so you come in order downstairs and then head upstairs and your food is delivered to your table. It is delivered in takeout trays and they bring you foam plates and plastic utensils. We were the only people eating in on Friday around 12:30 but the restaurant seemed to be busy with takeout orders. I thought the food was good, but the service was just ok and the drinks were a miss. I wish someone communicated that it would take 40 minutes for my dish because I would just have ordered something else from the menu in that case. I feel like I wasted $70 on a lunch and ended up sharing a few pieces of shrimp with my kids, not ideal! I would visit again because I think the food is good but probably just get takeout!
Joe & Lorenzo's Restaurant
Lady behind counter was rude and not a very nice person. Ordered a Sicilian pizza and paid $29. The pizza was subpar at best. Dough was bland and like rubber. The sauce was most definitely from a can ragu would have been better, the cheese was fake and nasty it tasted like cardboard. Overall the pizza horrible and the service lacking. Me and my family have order multiple times hopeing it would get better. It has not, unfortunately their are not many good pizza options in Hawley please avoid this place and save your money it was a truly bad bad pizza. Frozen is so much better and that's not saying much.
Ordered pizza and garlic knots. Both were very good. Garlic knots had a TON of garlic on them, but were still yummy! Pizza was good sauce was a little sweet, crust was the perfect balance of soft and crispy.
The Hotel Belvidere
Stayed here for a weekend trip. The restaurant is excellent. Fantastic food and great atmosphere. The rooms were clean and comfortable and look like pictures online. Very nice family run hotel.
Where do I start? I took my husband for a nice birthday dinner here. The food was amazing! My husband had the best 18oz Ribeye he ever tasted and I had the filet tips and shrimp. The waitress was the best. She made our first experience here definitely memorable. I would highly recommend this restaurant to everyone! Oh and did I forget to mention the fabulous waitstaff got the entire dining room patrons to sing Happy Birthday to him. He definitely felt so honored! What a great night for both of us!
Crazy Country Club
Who can resist lousy food and warm beer? I know I can’t. This place has a fantastic vibe- funky, fun atmosphere with tons to take in. The food was most definitely not lousy, the beer may have been a bit warm but I like it that way. The owner is welcoming and entertaining. The staff is friendly and efficient. This is a joint that should not be missed. The wings were crispy and delicious. Fish and chips- excellent. Chicken Milanese sandwich tasty. Roast beef- our friends had and thought it was delicious. They use toilet paper as napkins and when the family table next to us needed more napkins, they displayed their unique approach to delivery. Don’t stop here, ever. Don’t mess it up for those of us willing to take a risk on a place with lousy food and warm beer.
I cannot give this place enough stars. We visited this place almost year ago and we tell everyone about it. It was so much fun! The owner was so welcoming. The atmosphere was great! The entire place was singing karaoke together. The comedy show they had that night was SO funny. Food was out of this world. Literally cannot say enough good things. We’re trying to plan our next trip up there just to go to the Crazy Country Club!
China Fortune
This is a nice place to bring your family. There’s a lot of options on the buffet and the food is changed out regularly so it’s always fresh. The service is great and the dinning area is clean.
I've eaten here a few times recently and the food is always good. Unfortunately, this time I found a bug stuck in one of the folds of my crab rangoon. Again, food is always good and I haven't heard or seen any reviews of anyone else finding anything like this.
New Hop Shing Kitchen
Great food at reasonable prices. Best Chinese food in passaic
i made 3 orders, they where all very good, cost me about 36$ and they gave me a free soda of can, it was so good every thing was fresh and did not take that long. 👌
Main Garden
Delivery Order: All the items ordered tasted good, and the Food was very well packaged. I usually get disappointed with the Chow Mai Fun orders, but this was just as expected, and also had very less oil, so somehow felt more healthy. Would definitely order from here again.
I ordered for the first time today from this place and got general tso chicken with spring rolls. The chicken was gooey and it was more dough than chicken, and the flavour was off. I couldn’t even finish one spring roll because it was really bad… needless to say I got food poisoning from this place.
China Star Kitchen
In order for me to complain, I had to give a star. I don’t deserve a star. I ordered half a chicken with pork fried rice and there was a cockroach in my autistic sons meal.UPDATE:so the owner decides to say if such thing happen I called and the store so many times and they stated they was coming for the food they never came so yeah I spoke to the owner they did nothing but tell me they gonna give me new food. I am not the only one on this review that had a roach in there food.they don’t even credit me my money back but I don’t care about the money this place needs to be shut down
Ordered the boneless spareribs with French fries and honey chicken wings. The ribs had really good flavor but were ridiculously dry, as were the fries. The chicken was mid, the honey sauce they used was just a cheap honey mustard. Will not be ordering again
