Jinsoy
Jinsoy in New Brunswick provides a delightful dining experience with a fully halal menu that caters to families and food enthusiasts alike. During our recent visit, we were a party of four--two adults and two kids--and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Appetizers We started with the Hot and Sour family soup and dynamite chicken. Both appetizers were flavorful and set a positive tone for the meal. Main Courses For our main courses, we ordered the Mongolian beef, sesame chicken, and cheese corn fried rice. Each dish was well-prepared and delicious; however, one notable aspect was that the main courses arrived at staggered intervals, resembling a tasting menu. It would have been more enjoyable if all the food had been served simultaneously, allowing us to savor the complete experience together. Desserts To finish our meal, we indulged in the rose ice cream and chocolate mousse cake. Both desserts were delightful and provided a sweet ending to our dining experience. Ambiance and Service The ambiance of Jinsoy is inviting, making it a great place for families. The service was attentive and friendly, contributing positively to our overall experience. Pricing Expect to pay around $30-35 per person, which is reasonable considering the quality of the food and the dining experience. Overall, Jinsoy is a fantastic choice for those seeking halal options in New Brunswick. With delicious food, a pleasant atmosphere, and good service, it's definitely worth a visit. Just keep in mind that you might want to ask for your dishes to be served together for an even better experience!
I am not sure if I am entitled to give a 5 star rating as I have not tried their entire menu. But this rating is solely based on the menu which I found was pretty balanced. It has a decent vegetarian offering as well. The restaurant is located in George Street in the New Brunswick area in New Jersey and it’s a really nice street with restaurants and cafés lining both sides of the street. The interiors are clean, there is enough room to move around without bumping into tables. Service is quick. It’s a decent place…
Kam Fung
The food was very delicious, wontons had tasty flavor, the fried chicken had some nice crunch, and the combo and egg roll were amazing, recommended Chinese food spot in New Brunswick, a little on the pricey side but very good food.
If you’re looking for authentic Chinese cuisine that delivers on both flavor and quality, Kam Fung in New Brunswick is the place to go. This restaurant offers an experience that’s hard to find elsewhere in the city. From the moment you step inside, the aroma of freshly prepared dishes sets the tone for an exceptional dining experience. Food: The menu at Kam Fung is a masterclass in traditional Chinese dishes. Their dim sum selection is outstanding, with perfectly steamed dumplings and buns that burst with flavor. The roast duck and crispy pork belly are must-try dishes, cooked to perfection with a crispy exterior and succulent, tender meat inside. Every dish is seasoned with finesse, striking the perfect balance of flavors that stay true to authentic Chinese cooking. Noodle Is Calling
The food was so delicious. I had the beef noodles and the broth was mind blowing. I went with a friend and she loves their steamed pork soup dumplings. The guy taking our order so super kind and helpful. I liked the designs and drawings on the wall and the atmosphere in general. It felt mystical.
The noodles are good. The issue is with how little you get. Noodles really aren’t that expensive of ingredients, so the small portions are pretty disappointing. I’d probably come here once or twice a week if I didn’t leave hungry every time.
Aja Asian Cuisine & Lounge
I have no complaints. The atmosphere was very gorgeous. This was my first time and the food tasted great! Some of the best sushi and salmon I’ve had out! The waiter was very nice and present. His recommendations were on point (thank you Caleb). He asked what we liked, we said fruity drinks and he delivered just that with “purple haze”. I will definitely be coming back!
This place is open very late even on weekday so it’s a great spot for dinner if you’re out late. The seating is nice and they have a lot of food options. Sushi is great and filling and their drinks are nice.
Noodle Gourmet 香港麵家
20 years since I graduated and this place still has the best Chinese food. My favorites (pictured) are the beef with eggplant in garlic sauce and the Macao spicy chicken
Decent Chinese food for the RU-NB area. Usually get the shrimp wonton soup and the eggplant chicken dish. I get bubble tea here on occasion too if I don't feel like walking further down Easton Ave. The food is cheap and the portion size is quite good for the price. Tamp down your expectations and you will be happy with your meal.
Golden Bowl Restaurant
I know some people may disagree but, I have had extremely positive experiences and I do empathize experiences with Golden Bowl for years now. I really like the food. The service as long as you don’t come too close to closing time is pretty respectable. The portions are pretty good and the prices are very reasonable. In my opinion, it’s an excellent experience. Please remember, it’s a take out joint not a restaurant. But, generally speaking, I don’t think you will be disappointed and the food really is good normally. They are consistently busy too and they’ve been open for years which, is always a good sign.
This place has been inconsistent for years, but it's never been quite so bad as it is now. It all depends on the particular cooks they have in the back - the difference quite literally between a surprisingly four star meal and inedible slop. There is also a glaring discrepancy with their hours, which causes drama when you go to pick up late. If you google the restaurant, the place is open until 10:30. But if you arrive later than 10:15, they look at you like they want to murder you. Apparently, though there isn't another business like it in town, and they don't tell you this anywhere but in person, this place closes fifteen minutes early, and if you don't heed this, you are the devil. I don't know what happens after 10:15, perhaps the staff turn into werewolves and terrorize the night. Tonight was the last time I'll give them money. The food wasn't bad, but the attitude was almost threatening. I've been a customer for years, filled their register with cash, and the thanks I get is to be yelled at over a few minutes "lateness". They turned the lights out on me as I walked out of the restaurant. The angry, bald owner glared at me, then cleared his throat as I passed him, as though to spit upon me - all over an order of chicken wings and fried rice. From the looks of the other reviews I've seen recently, I'm not the only one. We're going into the summer; this is the lean time without all the college kids ordering online, keeping them afloat. Hopefully they will finally give up, sell, and move out of town. Few will miss them.
China King
we call to pick up order front lady is rude has a big attitude doesn’t understand anything we’re trying to order. says to come to store because we’re not speaking to her properly, do ur job and stop being rude and listen
Found this inside a chicken, and that makes me wonder if there was more and am worried since i eat food fast
Yue Wah Kitchen
Really nice people, the food is really good along with the prices, overall a great place to get some tasty Chinese food! 🥘
Owners are very sweet! Kind and patient when I came by. Food is easily the best I’ve had for quick and cheap eats in New Brunswick
Scarlet Bowls
I ordered a poke bowl and received only 9 small pieces of salmon compared to the large bowl of veggies and rice. Paid around 14 dollars but was definitely not worth it. Called and asked if there’s anything they could do and said that it’s just how it is. Also bought the mango milk tea but tasted very artificial and was lukewarm. They seem to have other decent options but was very disappointed.
I have only been here once but you guys… I wouldn’t say I recommend the salmon poke bowl bc the actual amount of protein was SO SO SMALL. I got a build your own poke bowl, which I think was around $12-13, and my friend got like the House Salmon Bowl (I’m not sure what it’s called), which was around $16, and we both got miserably small amounts of salmon. (Photos attached, the second photo my bowl is mixed up.) I actually liked the bowl quite a bit, but it’s just not worth it for me for this small amount of salmon.
Cambo Box
Very tasty, would like to see more khmer food focus on the menu like twa ko and bok lahong it would go great with the num pang!
I was in a few days ago, this place is awesome. I had the lemongrass beef sandwich with chili sauce. I also got a lemongrass beef sandwich with shallots for my father and a coconut shrimp dish for my mother. We were all very happy. I live in NNJ, so I'm not around this area too often, but I was very impressed and will definitely come back when I'm around. The owner is a really nice guy as well.
Chai Chenak Restaurant
If you are craving South Asian cuisine, this is a fantastic place. Their main specialty is Pakistani cuisine. Despite being a meat focused cuisine, they have plenty options for vegetarians as well. The food was truly delicious! Service is good too. Food was served at a decent pace. Their interior design is very colorful and lively. Parking is difficult to find. There is paid street parking, but spots are difficult to find.
Loved the ambiance. We ordered dahi puri and chicken rolls for appetizers. Karahi Chicken, beef bihari kebab and also Qeema paratha. Chicken Karahi was good for at least 3-4 people. All was delish. We ended with Falooda which was excellent. Chicken rolls and club sandwiches to take home was perfect for lunch next day … it’s a bit of a drive for me but worth every penny and will go again soon.
Pikalonga Restaurant
If I could give 0 stars I would the worst chimi and yaroa i’ve ever had it was done sloppy and lazy chimi doesn’t even have everything and no sauce for the yaroa its super over priced and I had to wait over 20 minutes for my order even though It was just me and one other person 6 people came in after and their fritura orders were prioritized over mine. The lady taking orders had the audacity to tell me it’s because yaroa takes long no shit it’s definitely not because you had the only person in the back cook my food last. Don’t come here unless you want shitty quality and service.
It was pretty tasty worth it.
