Heelok Chinese Restaurant
I think, in terms of take out Chinese, this is maybe the best choice in Mt. Holly. The ramen was really pretty good, for being take out. The noodles and bok choy were perfectly cooked. I do wish they'd have said/offered a choice of toppings. The 🍥narutomaki was something I didn't care for. A punch of fresh herbs would have sent this over the top. The dumplings are good. Clearly, handmade. I didn't care for the veggie one. But the steamed ones were very good. Again, hit it with some fresh cilantro, and I think it would have been great. The chicken teriyaki was a fair and generous portion that got devoured. Overall, it's pretty good. The standards were a little better than good, and the stuff we branched out on were so close to being very good that I'd go back. FRESH HERBS!
Food was good coconut shrimp definitely could of been better but everything else was spot on the freaking bag that they pack the food in to keep it warm is top tier the cute keychain had everyone fighting for it it’s super cute. The little details like napkins and silverware were given without even asking for it
Mount Holly International Buffet
Today I decided to try out this buffet for lunch. Firstly, I noticed that the food was steaming hot. The appetizers looked burnt as if they’ve been reheated from last night. A few dishes looked like that. The ones I tried were decent. I tried the hibachi station. The man was really rude and practically threw the plate of food at me. I had a $5 tip for him but ended up holding on to it. Overall, the food wasn’t the worst… I didn’t realize that there were no refills. I ran out of my drink and they didn’t offer to refill it (I would’ve paid for it if I had to but that option wasn’t given). I guess you get what you pay for…
Good Food, Good Service, Good Prices... We went on Mothers Day (5/12/24) at approx 5pm. There was a line out the door as expected. We waited approx an hour, which wasn't bad. The place is small for a buffet and doesn't seat a lot of people, maybe 75-100. We had a party of six and were seated at two tables. It is sort of compact in the table area. Service was good. The food was excellent buffet food. Hibachi, Sushi, Chicken, Desserts, etc. Fresh and hot/cold, good selection (mostly Asian) and constantly refilling buffeft. Yes, they had crab legs... Our tables sampled just about everything available. We will definitely be going again. Don't let the outside appearance or plaza fool you. This is a hidden gem.
Très Yan & Wu
I’ve had had the fried rice here, and it is so good! The service is good, and I look forward to coming back in the future
Best Chinese food around. I'm usually not a huge fan of Chinese food, but this place is awesome. We come from PA to eat here. Their house rice is my favorite. The cream cheese crab rangoons bites are delicious too. We always get great food whether we're dining in or taking out. Servers are attentive and friendly. The restaurant is clean and well maintained. Can't ask for much more.
China Express
The woman at the counter has a nasty attitude and I refuse to spend my hard earned money where I am not valued and disregarded as a customer. I will NEVER eat from here again! Wish I could give 0 STARS! 👎🏾
I've only been there once. The soup was okay. The staff wasn't very friendly.
Kawah Chinese Restaurant
After seeing some bad reviews on this place, I had to give it a try. The service was great and I didn’t have any problems ordering my food. The person working behind the counter was very professional and nice to me. The sesame chicken was honestly the best I’ve had in this area and the crab ragoon was also perfect. It’s always sad to see people leaving such nasty reviews on a place that actually has great food. I will be back.
On various occasions I’ve ordered takeout from this location, & the meat is reddish brown when you split the wings in half. It looks like the animal that they cooked had a disease, or the meat is going bad and they still decided to throw it in the pan. The inside of the meat is so GROSS I had to throw it out!!!!!! This happens whenever I’d order food to be delivered to my home. When I order food at their establishment, the food is great. They probably believe that if a customer decides to sit and eat at their place, they’d notice the gross chicken and would demand their money back. DISGUSTING!!!!!!! That’s what they’re serving you at Ka wah for $10 or more per order. They’re fully aware of what they’re serving given that this has occurred on various occasions. STAY AWAY!!!!! The food here will make you SICK! See attached photos.
Cindy’s Chinese Restaurant
Very expensive, but the food is way much better than any other Chinese food I've had, though that's not saying much since I'm not a Chinese food expert.
The food is fantastic! So fresh and delicious! Not like your typical Chinese food.
Lotus Express
Though the foods taste is not bad , they need meals with other than sweet flavor options and - a bit pricy too.
On 4/11/35 I purchased 1 egg roll 2 chicken combos. When I got home to est the food tasted HORRIBLE! I haven't eaten there in years and it has gone downhill. The bourbon chicken was tough, the spicy chicken tasted and looked weird and the general tsao chicken was flavorless. I called up there to complain 3x and got a recording saying my call could not be completed as dialed. It was disgusting idk who the cook is today but they need to be retrained or fired!
Panda Express
The restaurant is great for a late night food gathering . The restaurant was clean and the food is fresh and delicious. This is good ole American Chinese style food. I want to also highlight an Asian employee named Lisa that went far and beyond to make this experience of eating here amazing. First she welcomed us at the store loud and proud and got our orders. The food was still being prepared but told us how long it would take and showed us alternatives, just in case. Then she followed up and made sure we were not forgotten and got the order perfect. In addition, it looks like she takes charge of the kitchen and gives proper orders to the staff. I would DEFINITELY recommend her to be a manager, if she is not yet one. 10/10!
Panda Express has some very good food. It has fast, courteous service as well. I just think their prices are deceptive. There is an upcharge for some entrees, and a bowl entree equals 2 fried rice orders... That's not exactly clear pricing for a new customer. I like this place, but they're more expensive than they seem to be.
