Great Wall Kitchen
I was very happy with my order. The staff was very nice. The food was tasty and was a good price. Would definitely order from them again.
The food was very, very bland, no flavor. My husband ordered vegetable fried rice, no onions with 1/2 chicken. The rice had onions, but they didn't give him any vegetables; no broccoli, carrots, bean sprouts, etc. His chicken was tasteless. They gave him 6 shrimp instead. I ordered chicken wings and fries. My wings was hard, soggy fries. 1st and last time eating here.
Bao Dumplings & Bao Tea 寶餃寶茶
This restaurant is a hidden gem. Super authentic northern Chinese food; dumplings are made to order, the filling is full of juice when served. Really fresh dough and meat. The noodles are very chewy and smooth. I am from Beijing, China and I think their taste is even better than most of the local restaurants in Beijing. Price is reasonable. My only wish is that I feel such great quality food deserve better dinnerware than just one time plastic plates. The Kenilworth store is small and feels more like a take out restaurant which is why I only gave 3 star for atmosphere. But that does not impact the food quality. Service is great. The waiter serves you food, cleans the table, and bring you the containers for packing left over without you even asking. Overall strongly recommend; you will not regret to have dined there.
Wanted to try this place out since it said it made their own soup dumplings and noodles. The soup dumplings flavor was good but 3 out of 6 soup dumplings didn’t have soup in them. They were also kind of thicker then I’m used to. They put the the steam paper into the take out container and so the dumplings got suck to them so I lost most of the soup. The braised beef noodle soup has a very flavorful soup. I received mostly fat then beef so that was very disappointing. For $14 I expected to get a lot of beef but that isn’t the case. I was going to order their bubble tea but they only offer coconut milk as a alternative milk so I didn’t order it.
