Always delicious late night snack and great pricing too!

I use this place often.

This kind lady is iconic and a Chinatown staple in my eyes! Growing up here, I always look out (or hear her) for her advertising to get the best zong in the neighborhood. She sells different kinds but I like her Taiwanese and Shanghai ones the most (there’s also an English menu that details what’s inside) She’s super sweet and stays out late til about 7-8 in front of grand street station just to sell her zong so make sure to support her business!

This is a must stop for me when I'm in Chinatown. Shes a fixture of this street and a long time vendor. Her zhongzhi is better than what you get in restaurants or grocery stores. It's not exactly ready to eat since it requires you to bring it home to reheat in a steamer for best results. In a pinch you can eat it right away although not recommended.

A small family run restaurant that I looove coming here to find a little piece of home. The staff has always been so friendly and kind, they also cook amazingly! The wontons are always a must get and I love their beef tripe noodles, their fried wontons are always a hit with my American friends, and honestly their little bowls of herbal soup is just what you need in the cold winters!!

The peanut noodles are average. The peanut sauce from the dumplings tasted different than the noodles. The sour and spicy noodles are alright as well. The price point is pretty affordable, but as a traveler to NY, I wouldn’t waste my stomach space for this. It wasn’t bad, but wasn’t mind blowing. I left the restaurant unsatisfied 🥲.

Do not recommend as a vegan but other than that everyone else loved the food! I also really liked that they warned me about how none of the plates were vegan due to how they are prepared (some may be vegetarian). Nice service overall. Very high quality and authentic dishes! Also, the lemon iced tea was AMAZING! I enjoyed that greatly.

Birds of a Feather never disappoints. The cold noodles were excellent, other star of the evening was the tea smoked duck. Served were very friendly and the macha beer was amazing (and green!). This space is great for groups and sharing your order is the best approach to try something new.

This is surprisingly well-seasoned compared to other “super salty” places I’ve tried at lol. I would recommend eating it right after they grilled it so that it’s hot and fresh. Yummy!

Spicy powder on the juicy chicken is what i recommend, it is actually spicy lips tingling. the beef is a bit dry. Nice couple operating. Addicting skewers we usually just eat it straight away.

We had a really good dinner here, and it is a strong 4-stars. We had the scallion pancakes (slightly oily but really tasty), sweet & sour soup, wonton spicy dumplings and the stir fried broccoli. Note - bring your own vino, beer or whatever as they do not serve alcohol :)

Good food overall but the fried noodles with chicken was a little salty. Milk tea had too much sugar. If you want hot tea (tea bag in a cup) it’s an extra $2. Plus is getting a free milk pudding shaped like a soup dumpling but only if you spend $35+. Wait staff didn’t come over to help take away dishes that were empty as we were ordered a lot but were seated a table for two instead of shifting us to the larger one after the party next to us had left. Music was a bit loud, American pop music.

Great place for dine in or take out, I’ve wanted to try this place for some time and since I was in the area for lunch time I went with my wife and ordered some Generals Tso chicken with Pork fried rice and orange chicken with pork fried rice. It was very good and we had left overs for later. The attention at the restaurant was good.

My favorite chinese spot. I come all the way from uptown to eat here. They chicken and beef pincho super fire. They chicken/pork friend rice fire as welll as they pollo sin hueso (boneless chicken). Not to forget to other they slushy drink with double shot. They amazing and would get you F up.

Flavor builds in layers—aromatic scallions, tingling spice, the deep warmth of wok-fired dishes. The space is narrow, intimate, and understated, much like the food itself: well-executed but holding back on some of the boldness that could elevate it. Service is meticulous, the kind where your water glass never dips below a quarter full. The scallion pancake arrives first—golden, crisp, the kind that makes a sound when torn. No chewiness, no excess dough, just light and flaky. The pork soup dumplings are neatly pleated, the filling tender, though the broth inside could be warmer, more deeply flavored. Shredded beef with chili brings a nice kick, and while the beef itself isn’t the highest quality it still works. The kung pao chicken plays things too safe. It lacks the punch and spice that should make it addictive. Split pea shoots offer a healthy and straightforward dose of greens. Ren is still settling into its rhythm. The flavors lean a little subdued, but the execution is solid. If nothing else, that scallion pancake alone is worth the trip.

I was so happy to be able to try this new szechuan spot in the neighborhood. We came on a Saturday night and it was nice and quiet. The decor is lovely- I love all the rounded arches. The bars on the window did give off a prison vibe 🤣 and the windows weren't well insulated- we did feel a breeze coming through on a windy March night. The food was delicious. I think you can get away with ordering a bunch of small plates and feeling satisfied. The scallion pancake was so perfectly crispy and soft at the same time. The cucumbers are always a classic. The squid was excellent!! I love squid. The fries surprised me the most because it was fried just right. I don't normally like crinkle cut but these were amazing. The spicy hand shredded chicken was so yummy I kept dipping my fork back in to get some sauce. The pea shoots and mapo tofu were delicious as well. I didn't love the Garlic Pepper beef though, the sauce was too sweet for my liking. We finished off with the ginger ice cream which tasted like vanilla ice cream and you get a hint of ginger on the back end- so good! I can't wait to come back!

I can't believe how good and juicy the dumplings are. They're for a good price too, for those on a tight budget such as myself. Not to mention- They worked so fast, I was in and out within 5 minutes during dinner's rush hour. The soy sauce has this kind of tongue-tingly kick and it's addictive, like oh my god. Definitely coming back to try other dishes, this is a must try for those who want quick eats along traveling for your money's worth.

Super affordable you can get full on less then 5 bucks. That's hard to beat. You can go crazy for less then 20 bucks. Peanut butter noodles are good. Fried pork and chive dumplings are good. Nice sitting area but took mine to go and it was still hot. Would recommend definitely if you're on a budget.

We visited Green Garden Village on 12/30/23 for my son’s 12th birthday celebration. My son loves Asian cuisine. He loves Chinese food. We tried duck for the first time and wow I was blown away. All of the food was delicious we ordered shrimp and steak fried rice, chicken and broccoli, mixed vegetables, lomein and duck. Our bill was only $80 (very reasonable). Our server was the only one on the floor, it was dinner time and was mighty busy. As a previous server, I understand how crazy it can be. Other than that, we had an awesome time and look forward to coming by! Friendly atmosphere.

I found haven in NYC with fresh food on the table, come and have joy, yes chinese food

First time returning after the pandemic, we ordered the usual dishes. All dishes ordered were still very good; the roast duck with thin crispy skin, very little fat is the best in Chinatown. The veggie and steamed fish were fresh and cooked just right. The waiter was friendly. We'll definitely return.

Probably the best hot and sour soup I’ve ever had. The place is nothing special but it’s authentic and all foods we over there had, especially pot stickers was top. Will come back for sure.
