Typical atmosphere for a mostly take out restaurant. They do have a couple of tables so you can eat in. We stopped for a quick lunch and were not disappointed! We were able to get a table and sat in for our meal. The woman at the counter was super nice and friendly. She brought our food to us when it was done. We ordered the fried pork dumplings to start. They were very good. We got the lunch special which came with soup (or a couple of other options if you'd prefer). The wonton soup was fabulous. Very flavorful and had nice big fresh wontons. I got the chicken and broccoli and my husband had the chicken and string beans. The lunch special comes with either white, brown or fried rice. I had the fried, super tasty with a good amount of veggies and pork. The chicken dishes were so good! All and all it was really good food with great sized portions for a lunch special. I actually think they were amoung the best in the area. The place was clean and the staff pleasant and the food was delicious! Highly recommend.

I never leave bad reviews but how can anyone recommend this place? Really not good at all. Hopefully i don’t have food poisoning after what i did eat after realizing it’s gross. Is this Mongolian beef even cooked? Not happy.

I've been here a few years ago and wanted to try it again. Love the fact that it was a dine in environment. We were completely satisfied. The staff are friendly and attentive, and the food was delicious. Fried noodles a but stale but everything else was amazing. Reminds me of an old school spot I grew up with in The Bronx. The taste was somewhat familiar..authentic. It's one of the best Chinese restaurants we've been to in the Hackettstown/ Budd Lake area! Definitely will return.

Food is nothing like the original owner of the restaurant. It's Christmas day that I'm trying the food for the 1st time under new ownership and honestly, it's really not good at all. Wonton soup, steamed dumplings, shrimp lo mein, chicken Mei fun and an egg roll. No taste really to any of the dishes and had to wait an additional 30 minutes from the pick up time they gave me when I called in the order. New owners updated/ remodeled the inside. I felt like I was in a cafeteria.

Amazing food, usually Chinese food can make my stomach a little bit upset but this place has been perfect and consistent… so far i haven’t had an upset stomach from it, the staff are very polite and even gave us some free extras! The food is great, and the general tsos specifically is exceptional.

Ok I'm a stickler when food is labeled pt or qt. The Quart Chow Fun container measures 24 oz to the brim. If overfilled it may get to 32 oz. But it was not overfilled. I've seen this as a trend in Chinese restaurants in the area. So Your Kitchen Hampton is the the better value for regular dishes. I loved the establishment under the prior owner a few years ago. But currently it's not for me with other options around. Had Beef Chow Fun and Chicken Eggplant garlic sauce. Chow Fun was loaded with beef, but dish is not a quart. Same with chicken eggplant garlic sauce. Both tasted on the sweeter side for me than expected. Egg Plant was Chinese eggplant vs western variety which is a plus.

I ordered lunch - Hunan Beef, good portion for lunch, comes with fried rice, a soup, crackers and a fortune cookie. The Hunan beef is very good. The price is less than $9. Next time I might choose white rice instead of fried rice. Budget place for lunch.

We had a great experience here! The food was delicious, full of authentic flavors, and the service was friendly and attentive. It’s rare to find a place that excels in both, but this one does. We’re definitely coming back and highly recommend it!

Worst chow ho fun I’ve had in a while. The sweet and sour chicken also had way too much breading and it doesn’t come with any pineapple chunks, bell peppers or anything as advertised on their menu. Hard pass

Pandan Room is one of my favorite restaurants for Asian food! I’ve eaten here almost a dozen times over the past few years and it’s always amazing. They have very good vegan options listed, but you can also ask for dishes to be made vegan. The inside is very nice and overall it’s a beautiful place to eat. The curries and noodles are all delicious. The vegan wings are also amazing! Honestly everything I’ve had here has been great. Updated from previous review on 04/02/2024

Always outstanding food, but recently I've come to appreciate that so much of the extensive menu is gluten-free (and clearly labeled)! It's also very vegetarian friendly. My whole family loves it here!

We came to Lil Tokyo as our first Sushi experience in New Jersey. It was in such a nice venue, the environment was clean and had such a pleasing atmosphere to it. We were the only patrons in as a huge thunderstorm just came out of nowhere but they were still happy to serve us and allow us to bunker down if the storm got worse. We ordered 3 rolls (Top to Bottom) 🍣 Samurai Roll - Absolutely delicious and my favorite, the mango was fresh and the roll by far i will be getting in the future 💋 Kiss Roll - Shrimp tempura and crab meat eith spicy salmon, and it had such a pleasant spice to it and the ingredients were fresh. Little 🗼 Tokyo - I'm not usually a fan of soy paper wrapped rolls but this one was quite pleasant and the asparagus was cooked right to allow a satisfying crunch and taste. Overall everything was fresh and priced very well for the quality we received. Definitely recommend this spot for a quick sushi bite or even to-go.

Amazing restaurant that focuses on quality, taste, and top notch customer care! Prices are also very reasonable and portion sizes are more than enough. I have some dietary restrictions and so called the restaurant beforehand to see if they could accommodate. I ended up speaking with the owner who really took the time to understand my needs and made sure the food was prepared exactly as needed. I ordered the seafood pancake, bibimbap, and spicy squid stir fry and all were some of the best that I’ve ever had. Lots of fresh seafood and vegetables in all the dishes! And the flavor was truly authentic. The inside of the restaurant is also very nicely decorated - will be back to eat indoors very soon!

My husband Aidan, and I love it here. It’s both a blessing and a curse that we live within walking distance of this place (lol). The food is fire, the staff is so nice, and the prices are very fair. A date night or take-out from Gaza is part of our weekly meal plan, but we’re not mad about it! 😂

This restaurant is close to home and always provides an excellent meal at a very good price. The service is quick, the food is fresh, and it is a very good value. I like to come here and support them whenever I can.

A hidden gem in Hackettstown! Great staff, excellent service, and definitely coming back. To Pho had great flavor. Only thing I wish they did for my wife’s dish was put the grilled pork on a side dish so it would keep the crispy grilled crunch along with her pho.

Food and service were top tier! We were sat right away. Our waiter was so kind and helpful when ordering. Food came out fast, fresh, and delicious! I got the laksa glass noodles and they were so flavorful. The green tea boba was addicting too. So glad we stopped here.

Chris, the store manager, is a text book model of exemplary customer service. His loyalty and service to his customers is nothing short of commendable and admirable. I had an unfortunate experience with a rushing door-dasher, and called the store to gather information before reporting the incident with the dasher. My call was forwarded to Chris, although the fault was not his own or his stores, he offered to have my meal remade, and if he needed to, hand deliver it. After the initial shock of such an extreme gesture of kindness and his beautiful offer, I declined but stated I would happily place a reorder through door dash. After such a pleasant experience on the phone with Chris, I immediately felt better. When I had received my food there were two complimentary desserts! I was so happy. I am a nurse, stuck at work for 16 hours today, and half way through my shift the last thing I wanted was my only meal to be messed up as I was starving. This man went leaps and bounds for the satisfaction of his customer, and ultimately made my day so much better. You really never know what lives you may touch with just alittle bit of kindness! So thank you again, Chris! You’ve made my day so much better and your courtesy and professionalism is admirable and inspiring!

We visited Friendly's with a group of 16 last night and had a great time. I went at around 5pm and they were very busy but still provided great service. The food was on time, fresh, and tasted delicious and the restaurant was very clean. Our server, Liz, was friendly and super patient with us. They made sure to accommodate all our needs. We'll definitely visit again!

Haven’t been to friendly’s in YEARS, and let me tell you…coming back to this location was the best decision I have made. The food was extremely clean, arrived quickly, and tasted DELICIOUS. The staff was amazing, considering we had a big party, everyone was so patient, kind, and FRIENDLY. will def be coming back to this location!

Came here without a reservation on a Saturday night at peak dinner time and was immediately seated. Staff was very warm and inviting, atmosphere was very clean and modern, and the selection of sushi was amazing. I could easily eat here a dozen more times and not try all the rolls on their menu. Food was very fairly priced, and each appetizer and roll the table received was well presented and of great quality. I highly recommend this place if you're a sushi lover.

Wow! Great staff! Super friendly. I highly recommend reservations. We had one, thankfully, but it took a bit of driving around to find a parking space. Half the party has to park elsewhere and walk. The boat is a great way to go. It looks expensive up front, but if you were to order 10 sushi rolls individually, it would be a lot more. This way you get great variety. Each was delicious
