House of Yeung
The place looked clean and tidy Ordered general sou and chicken was so juicy and tender! Pork fries was ok… could improve. I will come back!
Always the best chinese chicken in town, always worth a revisit Really wish they had a pu pu platter available like China moon has, but they still have all the standard appetizers here, and they are delicious
Golden Bowl
Very good food, definitely one of the best chinese restaurants in the area.
Very quick to take your order. Friendly staff. Very nice people.everything smells delicious
China Moon
Food tastes off. I got the general tso and it just doesn’t taste good. The vegetable lo mein was very ginger tasting. I should’ve gone to Great Wall like I usually do
Friendly staff with some good food ! A little wait but it’s expected with a lot of orders going out.
Aikou
Food taste good still can be improved slightly. Spring rolls and volcano roll both tasted good but chicken and beef terriyaki need little bit more work. Also, thanks to that lady that came and took the order as well as served it. She was good as she came to check back in and ask before picking up plates. Front desk person definitely need some more pleasant personality. Restroom was clean and well maintained. Overall service and food could be improved more. Definitely give a try leave that review people about how you feel.
This used to be my go to restaurant. The service was lackluster, like the server dint crack a smile once, like she didn't want to even be there. The bathrooms smelled bad. The chicken in my pad Thai tasted old. When I asked the server for cilantro to sprinkle on my pad Thai, she said they didn't have any. Thai ice tea was good, but not good enough to go back. I'll skip this place next time. Acceptable but not good enough to go back. It's a bummer they used to be good!
Savory Thai - Flemington
I have been going here for over 5 years. This will be my last visit. The Rama the King Chicken dish portion is embarrassing for $20 (see photo). Also the soups are now served in a small container that is about 1/2 the size of what a typical restaurant would serve. There was also barely any beef in the noodle dish we ordered. The food quality is ok but the absurdly small portions and lack of protein in noodle dishes are offensive for the prices they charge.
Tris is very personable and helpful person! The food is very good my husband orders something almost everyday for lunch at work. So good! He took me in to try and we will definitely be back. Highly recommend the basil chicken and of course their drunken noodles.
Flemington Diner
Oh there’s nothing quite like a Jersey diner. Had the best breakfast I’ve had in ages. Ordered a spinach, onion, and mushroom omelette with potatoes, whole grain toast, and a side of Taylor Ham (aka pork roll). The veggies were all fresh and completely filled the thin delicate omelette. The potatoes were crisp in all the right places. The Taylor Ham - 4 slices! - was just a bit charred and so very tasty. Even the toast tasted great with sweet butter. Service was excellent. Food arrived quickly. Huge menu with something for everyone. Breakfast all day. Clean dining room and bathrooms. And there’s plenty left over for breakfast tomorrow (if I can wait that long, LOL). If you’re in the area, go. You won’t be sorry.
Stopped in while driving by the area. Pleasantly surprised. Expansive menu of the typical diner food that you would find in NJ. Shannon was our server, very knowledgeable and attentive. Frequently checked on us. It was lunch time and very busy but we were seated pretty fast. Would definitely come back, highly recommended.
Cilantro Garden
While coming back from Chicago, we stopped here for lunch… The town looks like no one visits, but given its houses & churches arc style, it seems this area must be a great spot in its heyday Coming to the restaurant- We were the only ones there so no rush! The Owner himself cooks/serves & bills. One man does all the job. We ordered- Ghee Dosa Dat Tadka & Chapati Dosa was good and so was its dal. Simple but best! The only thing which I did not like was its plastic plate & spoons. It is not a fast-food joint and I am paying what normal restaurants charge. I understand due to cost cutting, the owner provides service like this, but I won’t come where food is served in plastic Other than that, the food was good, service was a bit slower (Single man does all the job), and clean restaurant.
The food! The variety of flavors that arrived at our table was delectable. Every dish had its own distinct flavor and all were delicious. The service was attentive without being overwhelming. We had the Idly and Veda combo, the chicken Kottu Parotta, and another dish that had a wonderful sauce... I will be going back to figure out what it was. The menu offers many vegetarian options.
Kyoto Japanese Restaurant
Kyoto is always a pleasure and has some great and tasteful food with great service nice calm atmosphere would definitely recommend .
The food has a beautiful presentation. The food itself quality was sub par. The sushi was good quality but the price was very pricy. They location is in a awkward spot off a main road and the restaurant is fairly small. I had two apps, two regular rolls, two special rolls with a up-charge for real crab, also a side salad. The portions were good enough to share for two.
CURRY ZONE
Great delicious true Indian cuisine. Love the Biryani’s and all curry’s. Authentic and tasteful with spices. Nice large portion which are truly good for two people (other places like Mogul in Edison that I got Biryani’s from were only good for 1 and 1/2, here for real family of 3 can eat from one container that is good price, great taste and good portion size) You can order over the phone and they will have it ready. Give them at-least 30 mins when ordering. Sitting area is neat and beautiful feels cozy. Service is excellent. Raj is the owner he was very good and helpful. Spice level are 1-2-3 but please be careful as the level 3 spicy can really be spicy so start with mild. Only if you can handle Indian spice then go for level 3 spicy. I couldn’t handle it. Medium also was a lot for me and I eat spicy food. So sticking to mild which is perfect.
Overall, they are ok to moderate. Out of this world naan! Everything else is ok. The level of garlic is over the top and tends to ruin the experience. Aside from the insane garlic in the dish, the paneer tikka masala is quite good. The Chana masala is a disappointment and just tastes like overly-boiled, mushy chicken peas in brown meat gravy. Had one extremely bad experience dining in. Food took over 2 hours to arrive. There appeared to be only one person working and he had a very bad attitude. I’ve never dined in again there since. I still order takeout occasionally but the garlic always throws me off. I only go back for the naan and because it’s the only Indian in the area.
Blue Fish Grill
I literally never write reviews ever but I come to blue fish often to get takeout because I love their bowls. I was excited to be able to get takeout from them tonight because I had been craving it all week but I wasn’t able to make it in and so I put in an order right after I got off work and headed over. After I came home and got ready to eat I realized that the salmon I got was not cooked. I’m pretty sure they do sell raw fish items on the menu but this was supposed to be cooked, I’ve gotten this bowl numerous times, so I called them and very politely explained the situation and the lady on the phone (Jenn) scoffed and said “okay?” So I asked if I could get a refund she said yes, but then proceeded to tell me that I could just “pop it in the oven or microwave and that would probably do the trick” in a very condescending tone. After telling me she issued the refund I wanted to address what she had just told me but she literally hung up the phone on me as I was getting my sentence out. I’m sorry but after paying $24 for a meal I don’t expect to have to cook it myself.
Went here to eat with friends last weekend and the entire experience was delightful. The food was delicious. I had the fish and chips and it was yummy. Lightly battered and fried, but the cid I side was glistening and juicy. I also had their key lime pie for dessert and it was the best I have had outside of Florida. Our waiter Karim was excellent at describing the specials and making certain we were attended too. The weather was also excellent as there was a cool breeze blowing while we were seated outside. I plan to go back again soon, and make it a semi regular place to eat even though it is 45 miles away from home.
Chimney Rock Inn Flemington
The historical Chimney Rock inn is a staple to it surrounding area. This is a locals place to be. I have been here several times and it always seems to amaze me. From all its different seating areas to its local town home feel. The food is always amazing and the staff is even better always helping with what dishes to choose from since they do have a lot of good dishes to choose from. So if you’re in Hunterdon county NJ you should definitely stop by.
We came with family for a late lunch, and we were not disappointed! Our server was super nice and friendly. My family ordered regular burgers, French fries, and a churros dessert, while I got the vegan pizza and vegan tacos. The pizza was delicious! I really appreciate that you offer several vegan options on the menu—it’s rare to find that at places like this. It’s great to be able to enjoy tasty vegan food without having to compromise while the rest of my family eats meat. I wouldn’t hesitate to come back and try more of the vegan options on the menu!
Matt's Red Rooster Grill
So glad we found this diamond in the rough during our first visit to Flemington. We started by sharing the fantadtic grilled romaine. Then my wife really enjoyed the wagyu flatiron steak special, and I the cherry cola short ribs. And something told me that we should save room for dessert - and so glad we did! The main floor seating (there's also second floor seating) was small and comfortable, with the kitchen in view toward the back. And all of the staff were very friendly and professional, especially our server David. It's BYOB, so don't forget your favorite bottle to bring along. Definitely recommend this place!
Wow, talk about great food and service! Make a reservation, the food here is amazing. The cream of mushroom soup is definitely award winning as they say. The chicken with spinach and parmesan was awesome, so was the duck! Dessert was incredible. Service was awesome. You can bring your own liquor. We brought champagne and they put it on ice for us. Also opened our wine for us, etc. Great experience. Try the oysters and filet!
