Old Shanghai Soup Dumplings
Place is amazing! A little pricey, but definitely worth spending a few extra dollars. The soup dumplings were great, fried rice and lo mien loaded with meat and veggies. The place was not only clean but very modern and nice. Everything was great but our favorite part was the welcoming and inviting staff. Watch my full review on YouTube @YuccaWithChopsticks
Really good food! The crab & pork soup dumplings, eggplant w garlic sauce and Sichuan spicy boiled fish were all delicious. Highly recommend!
Green Leaf Chinese Restaurant
My family and I order from green leaf quite often. The food is excellent. I think that they have the best chicken with broccoli that I’ve had in a long time. The staff has always been courteous to me. I will review at a later time if things change.
Real bad service I order beef fried rice with chicken wings. I was sent plain rice with over cooked chicken wings. No onion, no sprouts just a lousy cooked plain rice with 5 peaces of black over cooked beef in it. They try to cut back on ingredients still charge you full price on your meal where other Chinese restaurants put all the ingredients and do not cut back. Lousy food
China Taste
I ordered the combo chicken & garlic sauce. Overall, it was good. I will definitely try something else. The egg roll was more like a spring roll that was disappointing. Still decent non the less
I ordered general tso chicken with vegetable rice. The chicken was incredibly salty, lacking the general tso sweet and spicy taste. Mostly consisting of breading with very little rubbery meat. The rice was not any better, tasting old. The complimentary egg roll appeared to have been refried, hard and tasted terrible. I could not eat this meal and threw it to the trash.
Funland Chinese
Best shrimp egg foo young I've ever had and I'm 50 years old. Sesame chicken was superb too. I didn't expect much as the inside atmosphere was a bit lacking (first 4 chairs I tried were broken lol) but the food was amazing and the service was friendly. Bonus, they also had the real hot mustard for the egg rolls. BTW the ingredients from the chicken to the shrimp to the vegetables were so fresh. I will return when in the area.
went here after not going for about 1 years and the food was still amazing quality not lacking at all!! I did wait a little longer then I expected but the food was so fresh. Will be back for more.
무적의 짬뽕 Invincible Jjamppong
깐풍기: sauce not reduced properly, resulting in making chicken mushy and tasting horrible. Look at the picture, the sauce is not thick and is figuratively a soup at this point. 유산슬밥: salty is the taste. Can’t taste the oyster sauce flavor which makes it very savory. 무적의짬뽕: noodle overcooked such that it has no texture. Soup tastes very plain. Not worthy of signature menu nor $15. $15 is relatively not expensive for 짬뽕, but it’s not worthy. Service is nonexistent. I would have cared less about service if food tasted good. The restaurant needs someone who knows the basics of cooking.
New owner. Just is not as good as prior. Then former owner increased the portion to sell. Have before & after pics. So, u can judge for yourself. ---------------------------------- The price recently increased. So, go to Hongbanjang for lunch or God of Jjambbong for now. Portion is huge though, which is good for big eaters. I prefer this place to Green Cabbage using HongBanJang, as I like the proper mix taste of Asian cabbages chai/choy. Also, had a lot more veggies included. Beyond that it's pretty much a draw in terms of soup & service, except HangBanJang had hidden roach in between napkins. Likely this place have one too but being newer less likely. Other place around is TeMinQuan, which is a lot more expensive finer dining. Although, I miss SooTaMein place, which is gone after pandemic, this place will have to do. Oh, the ultimate at $15 is nice but too much food & a bit painful to eat as per crabs, but does add additional sea food flavor. Easier Parking too. Taking a star off temp as noodle was overcooked. I really like this place & will keep a keen eye. Oh hot pepper Jjamppong is really worth extra $1, but others ... eh~ Extra meat & ultimate for me is extra bother & cost but not much else.
홍반장 팰팍 (HONG BAN JANG) | Korean Chinese Palisades Park, NJ
Came in for dinner around 5pm on a Sunday. Plenty of seats available so got seated right away. The staff is really friendly and attentive. There's radish kimchi, danmuji, and onion as banchan. Food comes out lightning fast! The jjangjangmyeon was delicious and the noodles had great texture. The sauce had a nice roasted flavor and the vegetables were fresh. I liked the amount of sauce that comes with this dish. I think the only thing missing is some thinly sliced fresh cucumbers on top. The jjamppong was fantastic. Comforting broth, not too spicy, and hearty seafood and veggies. Love that they do the half and half version here with the jjajangmyeon. We also go shrimp tangsuyuk. Love that they offer the sauce on the side. The batter is so light and crispy. Fried to perfection. The shrimp in this dish and the jjampong are not deveined. It's slightly off-putting but luckily didn't detract from the flavor. Definitely looking forward to trying their other dishes.
Pretty awesome Jjam Bong noodle. It was cooked perfectly. Very happy with the taste and content with the service i received I will return anytime to eat korean chinese food again
Te Min Quan 대명관
If you are craving Korea-Chinese cuisine (aka Joong-sik) you won’t regret eating here. The place was pretty packed when I visited on Saturday 5/25 and this popularity speaks volumes. Tang-soo-yook (fried pork or beef) was excellent as advertised. I have no problem admitting as the best fried pork in NJ. It was fried to perfection and the sauce was very flavorful. But there are other Korean-Chinese cuisine restaurants in the area who can bang out the fried pork at similarly excellent level at slightly lower price. Now the staple : jjajangmyun aka black-bean noodle. It was excellent and I agree with many YouTubers who claim this as the best jjanjangmyun in NJ. The noodle was perfectly cooked that yielded ideal chewy texture. The sauce was uniquely blended with squid! I wasn’t too thrilled with the portion size, but the quality was more than solid. Looks like the final bill is about 10-15% more than typical Chinese-Korean restaurants in the area. Especially when you are charged with the merchant fee of 3.3+% for paying with credit card. I totally understand why they are doing it, but I wasn’t thrilled by it. But my overall dining experience is excellent despite these several negatives.
After half an hour of waiting, shared a circular table with 2 other parties. It took a little while to get my orders as it was filled with people. The fried pork was so crispy and juicy, and unijjajang definitely had a kick with some spice. Lastly, gochu japchae was good as well. It was such a great experience and will come back when it's not busy.
라홍부 마라탕 뉴저지 Rahongbu Malatang 辣洪府 麻辣烫
The mala here is delicious. Place is a little hidden, second floor, sharing a space with another restaurant. Service was great and food was fantastic!
The favor profile is exactly the same as Malatang places you’d find in Korea. Guo Bao Rou is pretty great as well, won’t taste any gamines and it’s not too sauced up. Can’t say it’s the best I’ve had but I don’t think I’ve found a place in the US that does both Mala and Guo Bao Rou better than here. Service is also excellent.
Ming's Great Wall
Best fast food chinese around! I have been a loyal customer since their mall days. Best egg rolls around, and overall, everything I've tried is delicious. Absolutely the best sweet and sour sauce! Reasonable prices. Always my go to when craving good Chinese!
Ive eaten here since high school. Food has always been good. Their soup is great if you're sick.
Ah Woo Rang 아우랑
Cordial servers, nice ambiance, speedy service. My family and I stopped by on a Sunday for lunch and were seated right away. Food left little to be desired but the servers were so kind and patient throughout the dining experience. We ordered the jjajamyung, jjampong, and tangsooyook. The noodles were too stringy and the seafood soup lacked a depth in flavor. The tsy also lacked a bit of flavor and seemed overpriced for the amount you get. Pro-tip: very limited parking. All in all, this is not our go-to Korean Chinese restaurant but the atmosphere was very nice and we did appreciate the lovely service.
I order frequently from this restaurant and we're family of 5 so we order at least $100 everytime. The black bean sauce noodle taste has changed drastically. It's much more oily and has wierd peppery after taste than a month ago. So I called the restaurant and lady supposedly sounding condescending seem like the owner or manager admitted the change but claimed it should taste good. Also the Beef Tangsooyuk was over fried and very dry. It was so tough I couldn't chew without breaking my jaw. The only thing that tasted normal was Shrimp in Garlic Sauce. The lady just said too bad that you don't like our food even after I mentioned I am a frequent customer, she was not at all friendly. So too bad, you lost a large family customer.
