Ginza Japanese Steak Seafood & Sushi Bar
In celebration of a friend's birthday, we enjoyed a wonderful & entertaining lunch at Ginza Japanese Steak Seafood & Sushi Bar. The dining experience was grand. I shared this with several people. Then again, dined there 2 days later with a Sushi fan. A wide variety of food was ordered over several days: from Salad with Ginger dressing, Tempura shrimp & veggies, Lunch Box, Clear soup, Osaka Roll, Hibachi filet & shrimp & Hibachi filet & lobster, Hibachi scallops Fried ice cream. Each item was carefully prepared. The 1st visit with an Hibachi chef was a treat to watch prepared our dishes & clean the grill to perfection. The salad was crispy fresh with a bit too much dressing, order it on the side. Ginger dressing needed more ginger as it more like a bottled French-type dressing mix. Overlooked as salad greens were so delicious. Clear soup with chicken broth base was very flavorful & not salty. The Panko coated Tempura shrimp & veggies were cooked perfectly with enough for 3 to share. Everyone who ordered Hibachi entrees were nicely plated with enough for leftovers. Sweet! The Benito Lunch Box of scallops included veggies, fried rice * & 6 large scallops cooked medium, without over doing it. *Allergy to Soy bead products, server was very accommodating, thank you. Osaka Roll was plated beautifully to resemble a fish. It was enjoyed completely. Fried Green Tea ice cream dessert with a candle was unexpected & a lot of fun! The Lychee martini is recommended; icy, generous & delicious. Terrific & knowledgeable servers. Prices are reasonable, On 2nd visit dined in a private booth, very nice & cozy. Decor is simple & pleasant as it is Japan. The entire restaurant was spotless as are the bathrooms. Highly recommend this restaurant without hesitation even if you do not eat sushi. There are plenty of other options for all.
Where do I even start? We walked in with a party of six without reservations, and they were kind enough to let us wait for a table! Once we were seated, we were asked if we wanted anything to drink. We ordered four sodas and two hot teas. The tea was nice and hot, and my party said the Sprite was crisp! (which I thought it was funny) We ordered a lot of food. We tried the yellowtail, and WOW, was it good! You could taste the freshness with a nice hint of lemon. I forgot what the bowl dish was called, but it was almost like a love boat with different types of seafood: tuna, salmon, uni, and more. And it was FRESH. You could tell how much they cared about the presentation—just look at the wasabi! I ordered the steak, shrimp, and scallop hibachi with yum yum sauce on the side. The beef was tender and cooked exactly as I wanted. The seafood was not rubbery at all. Service was also great. Checked in on us once in awhile to make sure we were doing fine. Overall, I would definitely come again, but next time, I'll sit at the hibachi table!
Yummy Garden
Food Quality has gone way down in the last 4-5mos. My department used to order from here once a week for several years, but we recently stopped ordering from here. Pork fried rice has no flavor and no pork, chicken and vegetables just bland and taste as if it was cooked hours ago. General chicken / shrimp / sesame is chewy, and some are hard.
The rice had no flavor, was clumpy, and had a dull, ugly color, did not taste fresh. The boneless spare ribs looked so weird and the sauce was clumpy, it was not evenly dispersed on the ribs. Very dissatisfied.
