ShangHai Noodle House
Very good value for the amount of food given for the amount paid. Ordered the fish with mustard green noodles with broth and got a good helping of vegetable but taste wise it was okay to me.
Premade food, not evenly heated from the microwave. Too expensive for microwave food 😔. The Xiao long bao was not good at all. Everything was soggy and the cold salted duck was warm on the outside and icy in inside.
Golden Seafood Restaurant
It felt like I was transported back to one of my business trips to China, sitting in an authentic Chinese dim sum restaurant. The atmosphere, the aroma, and the taste were so familiar, it was as if I were once again in one of those bustling dim sum houses, where the clatter of chopsticks and the chatter of diners filled the air. The dim sum was exceptional, with a nice variety. Even the soup dumplings were spot-on.
I stumble upon this dim sum restaurant as I was visiting a client in New Jersey. It’s pretty quiet on a Wednesday noon, so there are lots of parking spaces and tables. The restaurant looks pretty dated. They have plenty of large round tables to accommodate large parties. They also have private rooms for parties that wish to do KTV. I did inquire this, and the minimum total amount spent for a private room is $450 at the time of this review. Regarding the food, their dim sums taste alright and made to order. However, their dim sum portions are small in comparison to other dim sum restaurants in NJ (and even NY). Their Shrimp Shumai and Pan Fried Eggplant are probably the highlights of their dim sum menu. As for their Lunch Specials, $9.50 as a starting price is pretty sweet deal. It comes with a choice of soup and rice. However, their soups leave a lot to be desired. I order the Chicken & Broccoli, and there’s just not enough sauce. The chicken is okay, and the broccoli isn’t fresh. As for the Grouper Filet with String Bean, that dish tastes pretty good. As for the service, the servers aren’t attentive. They do not care, and they do not speak or respond. It’s like they don’t want to be there or work. Overall, the dining experience is just okay. Their prices are good (if you pay by cash), but that’s what you get in terms of quality and service.
Penang Malaysian & Thai Cuisine
The place is spacious and neat. Friendly staff and very attentive cleaning up the empty plates from the table. Food came out pretty fast. Portions of the food were decent size. Decent Malaysian/Thai cuisine.
This place is my favorite restaurant in Marietta Georgia. Looks like it will be here as well. Service was served with smiles and our orders came out ready to fill our tummies. So yummy. Will be going to sleep very good this evening 😂
