Dragon Palace Halal Sichuan
Pretty decent place to check out. Only Complaints are when you’re waiting for your food they don’t bring you anything to munch on and seems like the waiter forgot bout the drinks I ordered. Had to keep reminding them to bring the drinks over. All in an all a decent place.
The service is outstanding and the food is delicious! We got lamb scallion, beef noodles, and chicken and broccoli, as well as the chicken corn soup. A great place for family style dining.
Fat Panda
If you're craving Indo-Chinese cuisine, this spot is worth a visit. The Mixed Schezwan Noodles are a must-try. They have that classic spicy, tangy flavor reminiscent of Indian-style chow mein, making them a great comfort food choice. For soup lovers, the Lemon Coriander Soup stands out—light, refreshing, and packed with zesty flavors. On the appetizer front, the Drums of Heaven or Chicken Lollipop are exactly what you'd expect from a traditional Indian-style take on the dish: crispy, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. Ideal for anyone looking for that familiar desi touch in their food. In short, this place hits the right balance between Chinese flavors and Indian street food vibes, making it a fantastic spot for lovers of fusion food.
We ordered Chilli Garlic Noodles with Chicken and absolutely loved it. The noodles were perfect and the chicken was well cooked. It was a lil bit on the spicy end but we still loved them, even though we were full we could not stop eating them. It was a good amount for 2 people and it costed like 12$ roughly. I would definitely visit this place again if I Ever want to eat some good Indo Chinese noodles.
Ming
We loved their food! Their food tasted very similar to Kolkata Chinese food! We ordered their Schezwan chicken dumplings, Ming cumin lamb, Chilli shrimp, Burnt chilli garlic noodles, and Chilli chicken hakka style. All were delicious! However their dishes are expensive. And they add 20% gratuity on all orders which felt too much!
Jitu was an excellent server! It was our first time dining at ming, he was very welcoming and gave great suggestions! He recommended the papaya salad ,chicken bao ,pineapple rice with shrimp Thai curry and it was delicious. Thank you jitu for the great experience, we will definitely be back again…
Bombay Blue
Do Not Be Afraid To Come To This Establishment if you do not understand the menu- I told the host my food restrictions, no dairy, or eggs, and HONEY! What they brought out hit all the spots, the food was delicious, service was outstanding, establishment was beautiful, even the bathroom was nice and smelled really good, and they were so attentive!
Food is really good and service is pretty fast. You can have some really good North Indian food here. However i would say it’s not a place where you could sit peacefully for dinner as it gets very noisy to even talk over the table. Food portion is good too. Chicken tandoor-5/5 Shrimp tandoor-4/5( only bcz tail were burned) Chicken 69-3/5(chicken was chewy) Chicken curry with garlic naan-4/5 Mutton biryani-5/5 Chicken biryani-5/5 Veg kadai-3/5(too oily) Veg hakka noodles-4/5 Drinks were ok as well.
Kumar Soni Plaza
Great place to find multiple Indian food options from chaat to biryani to North Indian to Chinese under one roof. Some counters are pure vegetarian so that also is helpful for folks. All in all a good spot to have some quick bite with a group.
Very authentic dishes and flavor i got after a long time. There were plenty of options available right from chat to chote bhature to biryani and chinese. I like the way, kitchens were separated according to menu, it distributes the customer traffic and also the load on kitchens. The service was okayish. It costs around $10 to $15 per person.
Calcutta Chinese Restaurant
We are originally from Calcutta and we wanted to try this place. We were not disappointed. It’s a take out only place. The taste is not exactly like Kolkata’s Tangra Chinese but it’s really good! We ordered lunch special Chilly Chicken and Chicken Manchurian and loved the taste. Will be back soon.
In one word this restaurant is awesome 👌. Although the place might seem like a regular Chinese food outlet, the lady is actually from Tangra, Kolkata and they prepare authentic Indo Chinese food whatever possible to get around this place. The taste of food is very close to Kolkata Chinese food. This is mainly a take away place but you are free to eat there as well. The place is small but clean and well maintained. The lady gave us a very hearty welcome. She is personally taking care of every customer's preference. We are very hopeful to visit the place again.
Calcutta Wok
My friend took me here because I think someone took him here before. Food was decent. Noncompliants. The lady taking our order was friendly and provided good recommendations to me. The environment there was everything Indian. I felt out of place cuz my friend and I black so we got a lot of looks. Cool place
It is on the topmost floor far left...in the Kumar Soni complex. Economical veg and non veg authentic Indian Chinese food choices available here. Their portion size is good for 2. Considering the other cuisines offered in the food court..only Calcutta wok was worth the money we spent there.
Moghul Express Edison
Veg dine in review. Food is really good. Yumm. Service was not bad. Tandoori Soya chaap - found reviews praising it and was really nice. Navratna Korma as it was as first dishin menu and turned out to be creamy and good. Its expected to be on a little sweeter side. I think was perfect. Garlic naans were nice and perfect. Desserts: Menu doesn't have all options. Ask staff and they will guide you to display. - falooda was good. - rasmalai tresleche was okayish. Found very sweet. Afternoon/Lunch can be a bad experience on a sunny day if you sit on a wrong table. Suggestion: water is served only when requested. Should be default on table. No mouth freshner. Overall nice and will return for sure. Food is good 🤗😋
Here is my complete review. I have been to this place couple of times. Positive: 1) Food taste is good and my family enjoyed it 2) Quality of food and Service was fast Needs improvement: 1) Food quantity is less for the price we spent and felt expensive. 2) Ambience is bad, during the afternoon times we felt hot inside, propbaly the AC was not maintained correctly. 3) Tables are not properly cleaned and it’s kind of sticky when our hands are placed on table. 4) Plates, water jugs are not clean. And plastic cups for drinking water looks cheap. Attached photos of it. 5) There are no table papers or clothes kept on table to keep the plates and I suggest if management can improve on it that would be great and added advantage. Overall giving the rating 4 because end of the day felt that had a good food even though its little expensive for the ambience and quantity of food.
Rasoi II Restaurant
One of our go to places for dining. Food is really good and consistent as we have been having food here every few months. They offer drinks and cocktails as well. The best part is its fine dine along with better prices in comparison to other Indian fine dine restaurants in Oak Tree. The food portions are pretty good as well. We had chicken nawabi tikka, masala papad as appetizers and chicken makhani(butter chicken) for main course. The taste is pretty authentic.
I can't believe it took me this long to review Rasoi Restaurant. This famous restaurant has been a local favorite for over a decade, and for good reason. Perfectly situated on Oak Tree Road, it's a convenient and popular spot, especially when the buffet is on. The service is always top-notch, and the bar offers a decent selection of drinks. The buffet is a real highlight. The starters, like the samosa chaat, chicken 65, and pakoras, are always a crowd-pleaser, offering a perfect blend of flavors and spice. The main courses, particularly the non-vegetarian options, are consistently delicious. While the biryani is decent, the naan and curries truly shine. The vegetarian dishes are solid, but the non-vegetarian offerings are where Rasoi needs to improve- halal is not in the buffet - but offered form menu. To round off the meal, the carrot halva and tea are the perfect sweet and comforting finish. Considering the quality and quantity of food, the pricing is quite reasonable. If you're in Central NJ, Rasoi's buffet is a must-try
Chef's Table
Horrible pricing. They charge $10 for 2 pieces of Gulab Jamun, $5 per naan, you pay extra for rice that should come with your $20 butter chicken. The pics I added, $10 for each. Absolute joke
One of the best Indian restaurants that I’ve been to NJ so far. The service was impeccable and the food was stupendous. Not 100% thrilled about the service charge of 18%, but the food and service makes up for it.
