New Ho Won
I love this place. I have been ordering food from New Ho Won for years. Vicky is always a sweetheart and is very good to me. She’s always friendly, helpful and accommodating. Everything I have ordered has been delicious. The delivery person is always friendly and polite. My food gets delivered in 30 minutes or less. Even though this is a Chinese restaurant, they also serve pasta dishes and Hero sandwiches. Their Egg Plant Parmesan Sandwich is awesome and so is their pasta linguini Marinara sauce. This is my favorite Chinese restaurant. Thank you New Ho Won for your service to our community.
I was a loyal customer of this restaurant for years, but my experience with their customer service has always been disappointing. On one occasion, I called to place an order using their online menu, and the lady who answered was incredibly rude. Instead of politely explaining that the items I was ordering were no longer available, she became frustrated, sighed loudly, and eventually hung up on me. This wasn’t an isolated incident—she often seemed impatient and irritable during past interactions. While the food has been good, the consistently poor customer service has left a bad impression and made me hesitant to support this business.
Empire Szechuan Restuarant
Your local Chinese food store at its best. Friendly staff ✅ Clean environment ✅ Comfy Sit down tables ✅ Competitive ✅ Yummy food ✅ Many sodas and drinks available ✅ Go check it out!
Empire Sezchuan is super official. Jenny is the best always taking care of the Hood. The whole family and staff super sturdy. food is like a chinese restaurant in Washington heights. The chicken wings with egg fried rice and vegetables always hits. Dumplings are fire. Anything else in there I recommend you get on wit the get down. They even hooked my kid up with hello kitty key chains and shii
Chen's Yummy House
I love them and i barely know them! The lady that answers the phone is so sweet, has a great personality, she is very patient and polite! The food is DELICIOUS! So far i have never had any issues with my food , the customer service experience or even the wait time for delivery! Their restaurant is very clean and big! As far as the cooks and staff- AMAZING!!! Everyone is actually very friendly! They are always smiling and the aura feels welcoming when you walk in! They all greet you and they also have really great personalities on or off the phone . Love them!!!
Eating right now and I order Uber eats usually. I have to tell everyone they live up to their name. Delicious food. I ordered the general toss white meat chicken and sesame balls filled with red bean as a snack. Super good Chinese food. I’m from queens nyc moved to Paramus and I came here to eat just trust me when I tell you. This Chinese food place is the bomb! I never had white meat general tso and it’s sooo good! Good place.
Mr Wonton
I used to love eating here the food is always delicious but… I found a German cockroach in my food!! definitely made me lose my appetite and won’t be coming back
This was the most disappointing and discouraging food I have ever tasted in my life, for $16.00 in this economy I’ve had garbage that tasted better than this dumpster hole….i order Orange Chicken with shrimp fried rice and the rice was wayyyy over cooked and tasted lie it was over 3 days old, what A waste of time a waste of money and energy….. It was so bad I did not even bother going back there because I don’t think I could stomach anything they would have to offer… it’s just plainly disgusting.
Tri-Valley
Lovely little diner with excellent service, very clean. Basic diner food, good food but with very high prices. And unfortunately they’ve recently changed the the great grilled chicken in their salads to gross premade packaged chicken which my whole family noticed right away. It’s very disappointing especially when the salads are $20 each. We would make the sacrifice because it used to be so good, but no longer. Now they’re just regular salads at a ridiculous price. We won’t be making our way here anymore sadly. Shame
New to the neighborhood, I was attracted to the “family restaurant” slogan when I was passing by, and decide to give a try. Apart pastrami taste bit sour, everything else is what you’d expect from a Diner. My waitress was kind enough to remove the pastrami from my check, but that’s the good part ends. First, when I told my waitress the pastrami is sour, she explained this is fresh from this morning, which is understandable explanation. She then added “it’s what pastrami smells like”, that’s really annoyed me. Maybe it’s my oriental face hide the fact that I am an regular pastrami eater, or maybe the KATZ’s Deli in city did a horrible job for their pastrami, so I couldn’t judge this “traditional pastrami” correctly. Hey, I might be wrong. After all, we are not here to have michelin star dinner, we are here because it’s lovely warm neighborhood diner restaurant. Or is it? I guess my dinner timing was bad, every staff was either eating their dinner, or counting down the minutes for the closing time, not single person bothered to refill my water(I was having 6+ staff around me). Perhaps since I’m alone, my check won’t generate good tips. I am feeling invisibly in this restaurant, and basically I feel like I am in a emotionless fast food store, chain restaurant, IHOP or McDonald, anything but a “family restaurant”. I was so bored, I start to watching my phone, just to see how soon anyone could ask me if I need help or check, finally I got my check after 20 mins of wondering around, I put my credit card on the check, 10 mins later, nobody picks it up. I was bit frustrating, I was about to call my waitress, then I saw the “self check out” option, I guess nobody bothered to explain that to me. So I paid by my phone, run out of this “warm neighborhood restaurant” as quick as I can. BTW, I gave 40% tips because I don’t want to own the restaurant any money for that sour pastrami, not because the “warmth family restaurant feeling” my waitress left to me.
Great Wall Chinese Restaurant
Food is decent and I will continue to order there but the people at Great Wall are very disrespectful. I was locked out of my house and did not have contact with anyone because my phone died and i needed to use the bathroom. One person had an attitude towards me and they did not let me do nither charge my phone or use the bathroom and told me to get out because I did not order anything that day. You need to show better manners plus I have been ordering Great Wall for years and this is how they repay me. They need better customer service
Very bad! The food was just very bad. The boneless spare ribs were these large chunks of meat that have a bad taste and are very difficult to chew. The sweet & sour chicken also had a bad taste. And the sesame chicken equally bad. The sweet sauce on both of the chickens had a bad taste. Either the 3 meats were leftovers reheated, or the meat company selling meats to this restaurant is giving them bad food. If that is the case, they need to find a new meat source provider. On top of that, the rice was dry and overcooked, possibly leftover from a day or 2 and reheated. I honestly havent tasted chinese white rice this bad before. Rice is suppossed to be fluffy and light, so simple. This was just really bad food in all types. The hostess barely spoke to us and was rude in her tone of voice. She looked grumpy which is not good if you are in the food service industry. Prices were on the expensive side. No fortune cookies, despite eating inside and ordering a lot of food. On the good side, they have lots of tables and the dining room is clean. Just no edible food here and from the attitude of the employees, they dont want customers.
