Oriental Express
Friendly family working here, great food and relatively fast delivery. I ordered both pick up and delivery before and they don’t usually take too long. An order of General Tso’s Chicken and an egg roll is always the best and one of my go-to’s here.
I Order take out because we were staying at a near by hotel and egg fo young was drenched in oil it had no flavor just taste like oil and water the broccoli beef wasn’t good ethier the beef was so chewy !!! also the chow mien was just Vegetables ! So if u want Chow mein it’s called / LOW MIEN HERE ! Low mien = noodles CHOW MIEN = vegetables we didn’t even eat because food was not good I even feel bad writing this review but I did call and they had to call me back knowing that they had just delivered my food I called to complain about the noddles because u received veggies and owner just argued with me ! Also on the notes I asked for Sriracha and received none I spent about 60$ and I also tipped definitely save your money and go somewhere else
Denville Diner
My partner and I came here based off of the good reviews. It was busy upon entering. The apple pie French toast was a 7/10. It had light tough of apple but nothing crazy. The egg and hashbrowns were your typical breakfast nothing special. The hot chocolate was okay. As you got closer to finishing it tasted more watery. The breakfast quesadilla was also all right. The salsa had a bit kick but it was pretty decent overall, I probably would not come back here again as I have been to Better diners, especially for the price that we paid. The staff was very generous and kind. The food was not the best though
This was my first time at the Denville Diner. Stepping into this restaurant I was instantly impressed by the patriotism on display in the form of a very large American flag displayed on the wall. The Denville Diner is a “bruncheonette”, they close at 3:00pm so as long as you get there before 3:00 they will seat you. The staff and servers are so welcoming and friendly you will feel right at home. I ordered the crispy chicken BLT on a roll with Freedom fries and it was the perfect lunch.
Caffe Delhi
Food is delicious. This is the second time in a month. onion baghi, Chicken Sag . Dah Makhani. Butter chicken . All delicious . First time we came we had lamb rogan, Josh and Allu Gobi. Also wonderful . This is my new favorite place to go . Staff are lovely and owner is friendly and very attentive. 10/10 recommend this place. Its a is BYOB so feel free to bring your favorite beer to pair witH these delicious dishes. Spicy is spicy!
Food is fresh authentic and incredible. The restaurant is extremely clean and comfortable. The owner is the nicest gentleman! We like to order both take out and dine-in. Best Indian restaurant in Morris County. Thank you.
Second Half on Main
Hands down some of the best food in the area. Ordered the mozzarella sticks as an app and they were INCREDIBLE! Their sliders are epic as well. You won't be disappointed!
Came here short notice with a bunch of friends- about 10 people. We were able to be seated immediately. Our waitress was phenomenal- so kind and checked in on us frequently. We got a bunch of apps and they were all delicious. I personally LOVED the nachos and need to go back asap for them. We got a few other things and I can’t even remember what they were because the nachos were amazing. The place is a bit smaller so definitely call before you go to make sure they can accommodate your party.
China One
The food was absolutely fantastic. I ordered chicken garlic sauce and steam dumplings, and they are delicious. Especially the steam dumplings, prob the best one I ever had, way better than the one I got in Manhattan.
This place use to be special to me, the wonton soup was savory and not repulsive the chicken was pretty delectable but lately the chicken I get is cooked to high heaven, rubbery and tasteless and the wonton soup tastes incredibly off. Something needs to change here, is the chef even tasting the wonton soup or chicken for her/himself? If this were a few months ago I’d give this place a 4 out of 5 stars but now I’m just weary, the cooking quality has quickly and drastically declined as of recent and unfortunately I don’t think I will be ordering take out from here again anytime soon.
King's Palace
$5.90 gets you a Large Wonton Soup. Guy on phone did not come across as friendly and was the same upon order pick up. Wonton were average at best . The broth has zero flavor with no straps of beef. Drove by this place a million times, will continue with that strategy. No reason to stop again.
Szechuan Chicken. I read the mix reviews before trying for my self. They are completely correct about the lack of personality by the man behind the counter, however I was there for the food. Prepared fresh while I waited ( about 5-7 minutes ) overall the taste and quality is above average. $15 out the door for the large is beyond fair for the quantity. I will return.
Hunan Taste Chinese Restaurant
Very disappointed for us that all the foods we ordered were all tasteless & not good Dumplings were not good at all, Crab Rangoon without dipping sauce, Chinese take out crab Rangoon is much much better than this place. Jelly fish appetizer is $20, small portion & so blend. Hot tea was so thick. The service was okay, Peking duck was not bad. Why I said disappointed?? For the tag price of the foods & the beautiful gorgeous decor of the restaurant, the foods was the turn down of all. The good things for them were that this place were packed on holiday. With bad quality foods, low standards service & high tag prices, we will not come back & not recommend it to everyone. Am coming for foods, not great decor 😊 Peace ✌️
I don't normally write reviews but I felt the need to write to the good people of NJ. I only care about the quality and taste of food when I go to new places to eat so that's the only thing I will be writing about. Also I probably might come across as a Karen but genuinely this place is awful. QUICK SUMMARY: The food here is just terrible. As an Asian-American who has gone to probably 100+ Chinese restaurants in new jersey and new york this has got to be the worst one. If you really want to try this place out I would suggest just going to get takeout on ONE FOOD ITEM so you dont feel absolutely robbed by actually going there for a meal. The Mandarin Pork Chop: The pork was somehow drier than overcooked chicken breast. The description says its cooked in the chef's special sauce??? like that was definitely SPECIAL because it tasted like laundry detergent. Mapo Tofu: I have had really americanized mapo tofu and the traditional mapo tofu and this tasted like neither. It straight up tasted like dirt mixed with chili oil. Tangerine Chicken: Well this one was less dry than the pork chop if youre lucky to pick the right piece. It came with a lot of chicken so if you dont have taste buds this is a good deal. Fried Rice: HOW do you *** fried rice?! The only thing I tasted was salt. After re-reading this I actually feel bad I am writing this review because the people there seemed nice and the service was fine but I don't think they tasted the food.
Kazu Kitchen
This place is an absolute gem - the food, atmosphere, and staff exceeded our expectations and we were so happy with our first meal here. We got the chicken karaage, harumaki (spring rolls), and chicken and shoyu ramen. Everything was so flavorful and fresh, and the karaage and ramen were some of the best we've ever had. You couldn't ask for a more reasonable price for the quality and portions of the food. To make the experience even better, the staff is incredibly friendly and make you feel so taken care of! You can tell they put a lot of love into what they do. They even gave us some complementary ice cream mochi at the end of our meal! I'm really looking forward to coming here again and sharing this place with family and friends :^)
I came here with my friends randomly for dinner and was so pleasantly surprised! Starting off the service was incredible, we were instantly greeted and guided into picking a spot. Once we ordered the food came out super fast and our server was kind and accommodating. Once we were finished with our food we chatted for a long while and didn’t feel rushed AT ALL and due to lingering for a while noticed everyone who walked in was greeted in the same warm, kind way! Lastly I loved how cozy it was inside, over all This was a 10/10 dining experience and I will be recommending to my friends and family!!!
Veggie Heaven
I've been here a couple of times, and the food is amazing. The Cajun drumsticks and BBQ ribs are my go-to. Their other dishes are also very good. As a vegetarian who always has trouble finding food to eat, this is an amazing place and it's always worth the one hour drive up. I will say that during my most recent visit, one of the waiters came over to my table with my receipt and told me my tip was too low and to fix it, I never had this issue before. I increased the tip and went about my day.
Very clean restaurant. Service is excellent. Had spicy tuna roll n avocado salad. Spicy tuna roll was just ok. Avocado salad, hardly any onion, 5 small slices of avocado, ginger dressing is ok, lots of greens, green tea ( 1.95) is not brewed served with tea bag but good. Vegetable lo mein lunch special came with soup( wonton) ( 8.00) and small amount of vegetables but good taste. This place has many medals on the wall for best food. Will try other rolls maybe spicy tuna not my fav.
Sogo Hibachi Grill
We went here for a birthday outing and haven't been to a hibachi spot in over 5 years due to relocation. Luckily, a co-worker told me about Sogo and we made a reservation for hibachi the same day of our visit. The staff were very accommodating with our two kids and their needs/allergies and were polite throughout the whole visit. In regards to our server, he was engaging, made us laugh and gave the adults a generous amount of Japanese Sake!! The food was a lot and delicious. We chose to have a birthday ceremony for the four of us and it made us all smile. The ceremony was unique and we truly enjoyed our time. We hope to return in the near future.
My first visit to Sogo proved to be a delightful experience. Our server, Alisa, was exceptional—her sweetness, attentiveness, and vibrant personality truly enhanced our dining experience. As for the culinary delights, the vegetarian selections were plentiful and artfully presented. The Panna water, served in a large bottle, offered a refreshing rather than plain old chlorine water. Our choices included the adadashi tofu, a savory veg fried rice enriched with tofu, a zesty Pad Thai accompanied by tofu, a spicy assortment of mixed vegetable sushi, and a comforting bowl of miso soup. The prospect of returning to Sogo is a must; I was thoroughly charmed by the entire experience. Moreover, the value for money was extraordinary. Love it 😍
Yama Sushi
Every time I come to Yama sushi I am always greeted with a warm smile and quickly sink into the relaxing atmosphere. I sit at the bar and watch the chefs as they patiently craft each roll. My food arrives and I enjoy the well balanced rolls containing high quality fish. The quality of salmon stands out in particular, satisfyingly melting in your mouth. Their special rolls such as the haru and Yama special never disappoint. I look forward to my next meal at Yama sushi
Lunch buyers beware.: The lunch specials is NOT a full portion of food and you will be hungry shortly after. I assumed an $18 chirashi lunch would have included enough rice and fish to sustain me but I was wrong. It had barely half a cup of rice and the thinnest sashimi slices I’ve ever had. The quality of the fish was very good however.
Miga Sushi
This is a review of the AYCE which was a great deal for all of the available options. I arrived around 2:15pm and they have shift change at 3:30pm so they mentioned to me I would get until then and not the full 90min. That was fine by me as I ended up leaving at 3:15pm. Arrive by 2pm if you want to make the most of your allotted time. The food came out extremely fresh and tasty. The raw seafood and tempura orders were very good (ordered: salmon, yellowtail white tuna sashimi; tuna, salmon, yellowtail, white tuna and albacore sushi; Florida, YT jalapeno, spider and Ms. Tiger rolls; shrimp and chicken tempura). The katsu and teriyaki were decent. The one thing that was disappointing was the shumai, they were more like dumplings than shumai. I made the mistake of putting the tempura Oreo into the vanilla ice cream which ruined the texture integrity of the Oreo. Keep them separate if you order both.
Found this establishment while on a business trip and what a pleasant surprise. I chose their all you can eat option, which is 100% made to order and this is not a buffet. They offer two full menus for you to choose from on the all you can eat option. One menu is for sushi and one is for the kitchen, both offer a generous variety of options that are well worth the price point of $33. I dined on only sushi, which was extremely fresh tasty and well presented. The service is extremely attentive and friendly. I went on a Wednesday night and the place was packed which I am guessing also reflects that the locals know that this is a place to be. Although busy the wait time was very minimal. It is BYOB as well. Highly recommended and when I return to the area this will surely be a dinner stop.
