Shangri La
The service was friendly and we really enjoyed our lunch here. I had the tuba avocado roll and shrimp tempura roll. My husband had the chicken black bean lunch special. This was our second time here and seems the staff is very attentive.
Staff was awesome. There are many food choices and you might have border a few to taste. lol…. Mongolian beef is their popular dish. Moon shape fried cheese wonton. Everything is delicious. I love brown rice option.
Four Seasons Chinese Restaurant
First time here, we used to go to Cindys across the street for many years. The young lady server was great, attentive and patient with our questions. The food was delicious, fresh like we could not believe. We had multiple items and let's say we will be back on the reg as this is our new favorite Chinese restaurant to eat!!! Chinese Pizza, steamed dumplings and Seafood Tai (shrimp, crab, scallops and small lobster tail.
Food was decently priced, I got the lunch special beef w garlic sauce and a side of fries. The food is not crazy oily like other places and owner/service was really nice! Would come here again!! Food is good quality, you can seriously taste it. Thank you!
Bao Mama 包妈妈
I was on my way to get a hoagie when I walked past this place and it looked so clean and interesting that I went in. I've never had this type of food before but the woman working was very kind and gave me some recommendations. I took her advice and was really surprised about how delicious the food was. Very different, very fresh. I will be back. It's worth a try!
I'm starving and it's cold on a Friday afternoon in Cherry Hill. I saw the sign for a new restaurant (after looking online I guess it's not that new). This place is new to me! The first thing that hit me about this place was how clean everything was. Not a spot could be seen. I came in around 1 so admittedly late for lunch for me. I approached the counter and a very nice woman greeted me. I quickly figured out what I wanted and started to order when I found out that they had sold out of it! I must have good taste. Then the woman at the counter politely asked if I wanted another item because it was pretty similar. I agreed and got the spicy pork noodles. I also ordered pork and shrimp pan fried dumplings. I sat at a table with my coworker and waited for a relatively short period of time until our food came out. It was very cute and underneath all the toppings are some very bomb noodles. Little did I know that this is exactly what I wanted this afternoon. The noodles were bouncy and thick and after a bit of stirring, covered in the sauces. My dumplings also came out a very cute pink color. The dumplings were good and the sauces they came with were delicious. The bottom of the dumpling was a bit thicker but honestly... I loved it. The noodles were hot and spicy and savory and when mixed with all the toppings were amazing slurped. I finished my entire bowl and was full. I think this is a perfect takeout or sit and wait spot. I think in the future when I'm not starving I would let my noodles sit a bit in the sauce to really get the flavors married. All in all. This is a welcome addition to Cherry Hill in my book. I will come back again and it will be the restaurant I tell folks to visit now. Thanks for the meal!
Cherry Grill
I love this little place. First off, I am neither kosher nor Jewish, but finding a Chinese restaurant that can cater to my food allergy is a very rare treat. I have to say, they’ve become one of our favorite places. Being kosher, they have no shellfish on the menu- which makes it safe for people with shellfish allergies. I can literally have anything on the menu! It’s your solid, craveable chinese takeout that brings you back to the time before allergies wiped out Generals Chicken and spring rolls from diet. But it’s also a really nice sit down restaurant too! The atmosphere is more date night than you would get from your neighborhood takeout joint and the staff have been so polite and accommodating! Amazing hospitality every time, regardless of how we order. They even cooked a meal for us for takeout on NYE when they were closed for a private event, making it such a memorable night! Highly recommend the lo’ mein but everything has been delicious. (Also, if you aren’t feeling Asian, they have a good selection of other staples; we just haven’t tried those yet)
Cherry Grill is by far the most delicious place we have eaten at in a loooooong time. We've never had such delicious, soft, juicy, and fresh sesame chicken!!! The beef sticks were a delight, and the kids' chicken tenders with fries were devoured!!! The staff is super helpful, nice, and kids friendly!!! The place is super clean!! Everything is served extremely appetizing and appealing to eat!!! The bathroom is very clean and pleasant to use!! Highly recommend stopping in if you're in the area or are looking for a nice dinner out!!!
Nan Xiang Soup Dumplings - Cherry Hill
This was our first time here, and it did not disappoint! The service was great, and the dumplings were amazing. We got the Signature Pork soup dumplings and the Lucky 6 soup dumplings. For dissert, we had the pistachio gelato. Everything on the menu looked delicious, and we will be back to try more. I am so happy that a review for the restaurant popped up on my Insta feed a few weeks ago because this is definitely a new favorite.
First time at Nan Xiang Soup Dumplings. The decor was very nice. Everything was very delicious, esp. the scallion pancakes with beef. The food came out at a good pace, esp. since the restaurant was busy. I would definitely come again.
Asian Bamboo Chinese Food
Really yummy! Ideal Chinese takeout. I got the steamed dumplings and the sesame chicken combo and everything was delicious and well seasoned! Very flavorful. The dumplings were homemade and you could tell from the thick chewy skin. The egg roll was quite oily but everything else was outstanding so that was fine. Special shout out to the dumpling sauce - I want to know how to make it!! So delicious. Take your own sauces too which I love. I always want extra. Took a while but that was because everything was being made from scratch! Big portions too, this is feeding me for lunch the next day too and I still have a bit left for a snack!
Terrible...again. 3rd time I've tried this place in the last year or so. 3rd time I've thrown out most of the food due to it being so bad. Even the fortune cookies were bad. Not sure if they over cook everything or the heat is too high but keep a trashcan nearby to spit out 2/3 of the bites you take after chewing a few times to determine if you will even be able to chew it. Was really hoping the first 2 times were a fluke but after this most recent order I'll never go back. Don't like leaving bad reviews but this place is garbage.
Sang Kee Noodle Cafe
Didn't really like the food in general. The crispy noodle itself is good, but there is too much sauce and it's too salty. It's supposed to be satay sauce but doesn't taste like what you would expect for satay sauce. Lots of rice in the duck over rice. The duck is meh, I have had better. Feel like it is not seasoned well enough. The wonton in chili oil is probably the best dish, but I wish the chili oil has more flavor.
This was my first visit here. I ordered the scallion pancakes and Chicken with String Beans which was supposed to be spicy. It was not spicy, in fact it was a little bland. I was a little disappointed in the lack of flavor. The scallion pancakes…the best that I have ever had. The service was good, a little slow. I asked for Diet Coke to drink and it had a lot of flavor and was nice and cold. Many places that sell cans sell them warm…not here. One other area to mention is that I depend on a walker to get around and the tables were crammed into the space. It was so tight that I could not get my walker through to go to the bathroom. They were nice enough to help me put my walker aside during lunch but I couldn’t get it out of the space they shoved it in. I will definitely return here, you can tell the food is high quality and I’m looking forward to trying other things.
Han Dynasty
Great food and service! The sign on the door says Han Dynasty was rated one of the top 50 Chinese restaurants in the US, so I went in with high expectations. I'm happy to report that I left pretty satisfied! This BYOB has great variety of dishes to try with different meat and sauce combinations. Every dish we ordered was bursting with flavor and the portions were great for family style sharing. We especially enjoyed the dumplings in chili oil and scallion pancakes as appetizers and I really liked the hot style chicken. My Mom and brother especially enjoyed the garlic style beef. We also had our choice of white or brown rice with our dishes which supplemented the meats and veggies well. The staff was also very friendly and made great recommendations for what to try. One complaint I have is that they don't do anything to acknowledge birthdays, which is unfortunate because the family style portions lend themselves well to family gatherings such as birthdays. Another complaint is that I've had takeout from here before and it's not as good (but still not bad!) as eating the food in-person. I've also been to the University City location and it's noticeably grander with a bigger space, more comfortable seating, and a cocktail menu. The Cherry Hill Location is fine enough too; it's just that the lights are a little dim and there was a pesky fly that wouldn't leave us alone. Overall, I'd definitely come back to this location since it's more convenient for me and I'm anxious to try some of their other dishes!!
Sometimes the food here is made really well with good portions, sometimes its not. One consistent pattern I keep seeing here is the food taking way too long. If this happens just get your money back and go to Shangri La. You may save yourself 45 minutes of your time (that is including the time for Shangri La to cook the food and drivetime there from Han). Honestly pick any other place but here. Too inconsistent in quality and portion. Food is constantly not ready on time for takeout. I was nice enough to tell the manager to take his time because I wanted him to make it with quality. I didnt think he would take 35 minutes after the pickup time to start cooking the dish. He rushed the order last minute and threw in DanDan Noodles for free. I thought okay I got free DanDan noodles but it wasnt even edible because it was mushy and oversaturated with oils. If I got my money back I would have not felt like I got screwed. I have never felt this screwed over by a restaurant and clearly took my kindness for weakness.
Hong Kong Fusion
Hong Kong fusion is such a great restaurant. The service is always top-notch. And the food is always great, but the real treat here is the tea. Peter serves a wonderful assortment of ancient tree puerh tea from the mountains of China. This tea is more akin to tasting a wine. It's incredibly complex in flavor and unique in smoothness. Some of the tea trees are 2500 years old! This is a truly special experience that everyone must try!
The food here is absolutely amazing, and the tea is out of this world. Ive been at least a dozen times or more, and have tried numerous dishes (General Tso's Crispy Triple is my current favorite). I have never had anything that I didn't like. All of that being said, the service tops it all. Outstanding is an understatement. The owner's passion for tea is only matched by his passion for providing a memorable experience. Highly recommended!
Dim Sum House 上海一号
Service - Excellent, friendly, they bring a delicious pot of tea when you sit down and give you time to pick your food. Atmosphere - Very comfortable, clean, family or friend or date friendly. Food - Pork soup dumplings were very good overall. We also had the crab and pork soup dumplings and honestly couldn't tell the difference but they were both good. Honestly the Dan Dan noodles were delicious but make sure you stir them and add a little vinegar and soy for the perfect bite, trust me the vinegar and soy break up the oil off your tongue and make it a perfect! Would I say better than all, no, would I say I'm going back, absolutely! I would add the chili oil to the dumplings after cracking open or a little soy. Enjoy!
Great food! So glad to have a Dim Sum Location on Jersey side of the River! Fourth time here and I can’t say enough about the amazing food and wonderful staff. My favorite, the soup dumplings were devoured, before we took a pic.
Jay Asian Bistro
My favorite sushi place ever. They have such an amazing deal: Buy two rolls, get 1 free. I love this place so much!!! And even better, they are super friendly. 😇
I definitely recommend you go here, the family that runs it are very polite, it’s a small family run business. Here’s the trigger warning, they are Chinese, so do not go in there thinking there Japanese because there not, they are just a young family delivering great service, with a warm and friendly attitude. Anyone can make great food from all over the world given the chance and this great place is an example of that. I would take away or pick up rather then eat in as they are just better set up for that. I recommend the sushi selection and the curry.
China Wok
Really solid food!! Been trying to find a good Chinese spot, this might finally be it. The wonton soup, egg rolls, Mongolian beef, and lo mein were all great. Super flavorful, hot, big portions! I’ve also had the General Tso’s previously which was good. The only thing I didn’t like were the spicy dumplings, they were in a peanut sauce rather, than a chili oil which is what I expected from the photos.
This place serves the worst quality of food. If this is good to you. There’s way more places that treats their customer with fresh clean food. The broccoli was very hard and the rice was hard stuck together. They made this food less than 5 mins. I was not in a rush to get my food at all. Poor cherryhill to have low quality places like this.
