Thai at the Palace
Really great restaurant in the downtown area. Parking was easy and right across the street. The building is historic and features Art deco design and original booths, bar and fixtures. The food is all made to order. I’ve only been there one time so far so I have not experienced that many items on the menu. The service is to order as well Our server spent a lot of time helping us decide on our dinner. The food was excellent. We will be back.
First visit to a well run, wonderful staff, tasty restaurant. Selections are varied. The sauces well flavored and not too hot. (Although the chef can flavour as hot as they make in Bangkok) The calamari is made just the way I like, not rings. Everything is made fresh to order, amazing when I felt we did not wait as long as one might expect. The owners have the tining just right, not rushed, not too slow. The ambiance is wonderful in this old 1932 shop that was a hardware store before a sweet shop. The old wood remains, the art collection engaging. First of many visits here. Love the mango sticky rice for desert.
Panda Express
Scammers as employees. Refuse to return my gift card or show me a zero balance. Do not give your business to these clowns. Absolutely ridiculous service.
Ordered a medium Sweet Fire Chicken, for $9 and there were literally 4 small pieces of chicken and 75% Pineapple, Onions, etc. Unacceptable. Very disappointing.
China Wok
They never answer the phone so you can't order in advance, the doors are locked at random times during business hours, and when they are open, their credit card machines are always down so they want to to go find an ATM and pull out cash. That said, they're the only good fried wonton within 30 miles.
This place has excellent service and excellent food, made to order. I've been coming here for 16 years and the owners are the politest people you can meet! They love their customers and they treat them with respect. Their prices are very reasonable and they will give you tea and the crispy noodles if you ask for them free of charge. They are family owned and great with orders, never had a problem with mine! The wonton soup, pork fried rice, egg rolls and lo mien is awesome! The mooshu pork and chicken chow mien is a great dinner too. Everything I order is always hot, never cold and I just love the service you get from this place, honesty! I recommend this place to everyone who loves Chinese food!
China Inn 1 Restaurant
Run away as fast as you could. WORST Chinese food I ever had. The place I usually go to was closed so I went here. My son and his girlfriend were coming in late from out of town and asked me to stop and pick up food for myself I ordered combination platter of shrimp and mixed Chinese vegetables. There was no shrimp in it. My son ordered chicken fried rice. There was no chicken in it and I said multiple times I wanted an egg roll with that. Of course they did not include the egg roll. The rice was gummy. It was 32° outside. When I went in, They had no heat on. It was colder inside and then it was outside. And the place inside was filthy. When I got home and Opened up my food. I then called them back and told them they messed up my order. The girl that answered the phone continued to you Argue with me and insist that is what I ordered. Super disappointed, would never go there again.
Really good food, does get extremely busy around Friday into the weekend calling order in is very I think is a smart move on those day
Yummy House
I went to pick up my order from Yummy House, looking forward to trying a new Chinese restaurant. When I pulled up, I was surprised that the doors were locked and a sign saying it was because of Covid! I then drove around to the p/up window. I was greeted by a young man who couldn't have been more than 10. He was very pleasant. I was presented with my food and a bill that was much more than the prices listed on line! When I mentioned this, he said they were going to post the new prices as soon as they got new menus. We were looking forward to trying this food. Unfortunately, we were to be very disappointed! The crab Rangoon was very good. I ordered sesame chicken and my husband, General Tso's chicken. We tried it and found it was cut in very small pieces and terribly over cooked to the point that it was hard to chew. The pictures show what was left uneaten. Sorry to say, we won't go back!
Was told would be ready in 15 min. One hour later still waiting for it. I understand if you're busy and food is going to take a while. But don't tell be it will be ready in 15 when it won't be! Got refund and left.
