Food is decent but they’ve been closed a very long time. They had a voicemail back in December I think and it said family emergency so they will be closed for 6 weeks. They weren’t open all winter and still closed so I don’t think they’ll be back

I'm not sure what I was expecting for a hole in the wall chinese food but we decided to give it a try. We all got the same dish made slightly differently. We ordered the general tso with rice and an app. I couldn't eat my spare ribs, the rice was dry and the chicken overcooked. We will not be going back.

After an exhilarating autumn day spent admiring the foliage at Mountain Major, our group of eight Taiwanese friends found ourselves famished and in need of respite. Fortune smiled upon us as we discovered New Happy Family Chinese restaurant at 943 Suncook Valley Hwy S, Epsom, NH 03234. The menu boasted an array of tempting dishes, and we weren't disappointed. The Orange Chicken ($13) was a testament to authenticity, striking the perfect balance of tangy and sweet. The Mongolian Beef ($15) was a savory delight, its tender slices of beef complemented by crisp vegetables. A standout was the Vegetable Egg Foo Young, which transported me back to the bustling street stands of my hometown. The Chinese eggplant with garlic sauce was a masterpiece, cooked to perfection with a harmonious blend of flavors. What impressed us most were the generous portion sizes. Each dish could easily satisfy even the heartiest appetites, making the prices incredibly reasonable. The warm ambiance and attentive service added to our overall positive experience. New Happy Family has certainly earned a spot on our Google favorites list. Without a doubt, we'll be returning to this hidden gem whenever we find ourselves in Epsom, craving a taste of home-style Chinese cuisine.

Food was wonderful and affordable. Portions were great and everything we ordered was delicious .

Stopped by for lunch and enjoyed their lunch specials. We were seated right away and service was prompt and attentive. Prices are reasonable. The interior is comfortable and pleasant, and they have a full bar upstairs and TV'S and a pool table as well. We both agreed our food was good but not exceptional. Portions are adequate for the lunch specials. Overall a nice place for some Chinese food at a reasonable price right in downtown Concord.

Great place - food is good! Only downfall is, if you order takeout, know that their portions for things like chicken fingers and boneless ribs are SMALL. There is no option for large, so if you are looking to feed a family of 4, you’ll need to double or even triple up, which is super pricey.

These guys have been around for over 30 years in Concord. They have by far the best Chinese food anywhere in town. I always get the D2. They have a couple of tables you can sit at inside but generally get to take out only. They're shrimp and lobster sauce is amazing they're boneless spare ribs are great but they also have bone in spare ribs too! The teriyaki beef is amazing in their pork fried rice is to die for check them out you won't be disappointed!

I ordered a pupu platter for 2, shrimp fried rice and house lomaine today. Just have to mention it was the best chinese food I've had in a long time. Lucky to have them in concord. Big portions, they even had crab rangoon and fried shrimp in their pupu platter as well as the "big" egg rolls. Sweet onions in their fried rice. Just too good. They deserve a very good review. If you haven't tried them lately, you will not be dissapointed.

Awesome little place. Great location right on Main Street. Quaint dining room that is very clean. Very nice looking bar area. Service was fast. The food is absolutely delicious. They have many great lunch specials. I will surely return.

It's decent Chinese food. Probably on par with anything else in the Concord area. They do a lot of takeout. We dine-in once and a while. Service is very slow, only one server any of the times we visited. Last meal some items were warm but cooled quickly. We'll go again because it's similar taste and quality to other Chinese restaurants in Concord.

The restaurant was very clean. Loved that! Loved the Linen napkins and the paper placemats with an Asian zodiac. That was fun! (Glad to know that my husband and I are a compatible match!😆) Absolutely loved the delicious tea that was offered by a polite young Server shortly after being seated in their dining area. We also appreciated getting iced water without having to ask for it. That was very nice, indeed. What wasn’t so great was having everything we ordered served all at once! …Some folks might consider this fast service, but this might mean that the food may not have been cooked fresh and was prepared and cooked in advance; then reheated and served. It also would have been nice to have had a little time to enjoy the appetizer before the main meal, or at least be given the option for that. All in all, our chicken wings appetizer was okay. The Beef Lo Mein was dry, salty and almost meatless. The General Tao’s entree was also dry and hard even though there was a generous amount of sauce. As for taste, it didn’t have much! Everything tasted just okay. —Nothing special. I must mention that the gentleman Host was pleasant and graciously professional, but on the other hand, our main Server was not so nice. His shirt was noticeably soiled, his attention seemed ingenuous and his manners were questionable… By this I mean that when he began to serve our food, he placed my husband’s plate squarely in front of him, but then he just carelessly pushed my plate over to me! Hmmm, Lol!… He must have sensed that I would write a less than favorable review about him.🙃😊😁 Honestly, I must admit that I have mixed feelings about the visit, and can “sort of” recommend the restaurant. Although the food and service was not the best, their prices are reasonable and the atmosphere was relaxed, casual and comfortable. I also must say that the young Server saved the day. —He was SO nice, kind and respectful!

Ordered takeout for Christmas. First time ever ordering from there. I saw a lot of mixed reviews, but we live in Penacook so I figured we would give it a shot. Overall I think it was okay. I little greasier than other places. The crab Rangoon could have been better too it was kinda hard. Food wasn’t amazing but it wasn’t terrible either.

I ordered take out so couldn't give 5 stars on atmosphere. But the person at register was very nice and honest. I accidentelly gave $20 extra on an order under $20. Many host/cashiers aren't as honest. I also was pleasantly surprised at the amount of food in my order. I moved out of state from north of Concord but from now on when I visit I will get my Chinese food at Man Yee!

I love the D6 lunch special. Compared to the other restaurants in concord the price and the amount is way better. I also love the spring rolls here. I will always come here for my family Chinese food!!!!!!!!😋😋😋

This is my local “Chinese food” place that I frequent. It is definitely Americanized. It reminds me of a little hold in the wall take out place I used to go to in college. The service is will always great and the bar is always bumpin. Some of the food is awesome: the sushi, the friend rice and the noodles come to mind. The noodles are not greasy like they can be at some places and the rice I’ve had has always been fresh. Tonight we ordered the noodles. A pork fried rice, and a hit and sour soup; all delicious. We also had a pepper steak that was really good. The crab rangoon were definitely all cream cheese and the sweet and sour chicken was very much more sweet than sour. If you have the right expectations, it can be a nice time.

My husband and I went on a Friday night. I was amazed, I have never seen so many people laughing and having fun at an Asian restaurant before. The bar was packed with people enjoying food and drinks. We sat at our table, and our server was very pleasant. She recommended a few dishes for us to try. She then asked us what size lomein we wanted. We both were stunned. We have never been to a place that has offered different sizes for fried rice or lomein. The food came out quick, and let me tell you, the general tso chicken was so good! The chicken was juicy and flavorful. We had to stop eating it so we could have leftovers the next day. 😋 The lomein was really good, I loved that you could tell it was cooked in a wok over fire. It had a smokey taste to it. Will definitely be going back to try more Chinese food and to try the sushi.

Horrible horrible horrible..... What else can I say... Oh yeah horrible... My rice was so old it needed a cane to get around... My chicken fingers were not crispy but soggy as hell.... My lobster sauce was so gelatinous I could not even describe what it was and was afraid to eat it.... My shrimp was undercooked..... When I call to complain they said to bring it back... I told him I was 7 mi away and I was not driving all the way back there. Do you think that they could just find my card receipt and give me a reimbursement.... Of course not... They don't care.... Please stay clear!!!!

For $11.95 dinner special, you can’t beat it. It’s definitely a take out sort of place, but again, not bad for the price.

The food was wonderful... The only reason I didn't give it five stars was because the rice was a tad greasy. Everything else was spot-on. The owner (May) was there to greet us as we walked in and gave us plenty of extra house made duck sauce which btw is outstanding. I will definitely be returning.

Haven't been in a long time. Food still excellent. The place was warm and comfortable and the staff was welcoming. I'll be back for sure!

Ghastly. Threw it in the trash. The images are of a Beef & black bean swimming in oil. Inedible. So sad that Henniker's only Chinese "restaurant" literally smells like a toilet. Go anywhere else.

I LOVE YOU, WHY MUST YOU LEAVE?! Us college students will miss you greatly, more importantly me. I will miss you, your food is amazing, thank you for that last meal.

Ordered Sesame TOFU-got chicken and didn’t know until I actually ate it. Did I mention that I’ve been a vegetarian for 30 years? Needless to say, not happy about eating meat. When I called to tell them, the woman argued with me that I must’ve said “chicken” because that’s what she heard. I shouldn’t have to argue!?! And NO APOLOGY!?! Said I wanted a refund-they wanted to give me a credit. Told them I wouldn’t return. When my husband picked up the refund next day, they begged him to come back. But didn’t do a thing to make us want to go back!?! My husband’s food was less than average. Won Ton soup was mostly broth. House rice was bland and not much meat-mostly shrimp. Expensive as heck, too. Couldn’t believe how our food was $80!?! Also- my husband’s had to walk around a very young child sitting on the ground playing by the entrance. (Their child)

In 45 years, I have never been so disappointed in Chinese food quality. The Kung Pao chicken was mostly celery as a cheap filler (see photo). The chicken was rubbery and the sauce was sweet, not a hint of soy, which is typically what a Kung Pao recipe is based on. I threw away what I didn’t eat. The pork fried rice was also lacking in body and flavor. Let’s just hope someone was having a bad day. Only open for takeout
