Lucky House Seafood Restaurant
I came across LuckyHouse Seafood Restaurant and noticed it seemed to be a grand opening. Curious, I decided to give it a try. When I arrived at 4pm, the restaurant was nearly empty, with only two other people dining. It made me wonder where are the customers? The menu looked interesting, but the prices seemed high for the overall ambiance of the place. Still, I decided to try it out. I ordered the House Fried Rice and the Lucky Roasted Pork. The food wasn’t bad at all; in fact, it was okay. However, I did find it a bit pricey for what it offered. One downside was the service. The server had difficulty understanding my questions, which made communication challenging. In the end, I just ordered something simple that I was craving at the moment. Overall, the food was decent, but the pricing and service could use some improvement. I hope they work on these aspects as they establish themselves.
I had an exceptional dining experience at this restaurant! The ambiance is elegant, with meticulous attention to detail in the decor. The dishes are not only beautifully presented but also incredibly delicious. The staff is warm and attentive, ensuring a welcoming experience from ordering to dining. Whether for a gathering with friends or a family meal, this place is an excellent choice. I highly recommend it and look forward to returning! Ohana Hawaiian BBQ
Terrible service, I placed an order over the phone. The guy I spoke to was unprofessional. He didn’t even ask me for a name or number so I didn’t give it to him. He said it would take 20-25 minutes so I said ok. When my partner went to pick it up about 15-20 minutes later, he told him he was there to pick up my order. But when he went to pay, that’s when the cashier handed the ticket to the back. So that means he didn’t even place the order until my partner paid for it? So he had to wait another 20-25 minutes. So it took about 40 minutes total for 1 item. I don’t understand the difficulty it is to place a simple order over the phone.
I don’t know why Hawaiians and even non Hawaiians for that fact would pay $17 for a little portion of meat two scoops of rice and some macaroni salad. It’s beyond me. $17 can get you a breakfast buffet at Southpoint during Pacific hours $17 can feed you for two meals at chipotle $17 can get you a lot of stuff besides 6 ounces or less of chicken two scoops of rice and macaroni salad can you imagine the margins on these plates again? I feel sorry for Hawaiians and I don’t know why they do it.
Shang Artisan Noodle - Durango Resort
All I can say is WOW!!! It’s a great experience to try the hands pull noodles from Shang Artisan Noodles at Durango Resort Casino. These noodles soups come with full of flavors, with broth that you can taste that been stewed overnight and plenty of variety of proteins depending on your preference. The restaurant’s atmosphere is well decorated with different Chinese folks music instruments on the wall, and hands pulled noodles shaped lanterns on the ceiling. It is very clean and well maintained professionally. The service is impeccable from the hostess to the service staffs. They all come with a smile and a «Thank You ». We were very happy to dine here and have a great experience. Come and try it out for yourself. I know you will not regret it.
I've had different soups with their hand pulled noodles and usually ask for the spice on the side. No problem, always accommodating. Staff are friendly and helpful, and the place is always clean. Their portions are huge and very reasonably priced. I love their cucumber infused filtered water. You can also watch them make the noodles by hand, amazing.
Amazing Thai 2
Really enjoyed our lunch special. Was delicious and my yellow curry was spiced just right at a "2". Okay, so I'm a lightweight and I might have pushed a 4 heat rank, but didn't want to chance it. I do prefer taste over pain. Sis had the orange chicken and cleaned her plate. And only an hour ago under anesthesia she said she was dreaming about a cheeseburger. Haha. We also were given a nice bookmark souvenir from our gracious server.
I have eaten lunch at this restaurant for a few times. The food was very good and the price was quite reasonable. The thing that bothered me was that the waitress and the cook talked very loud incessantly in the kitchen while they were preparing my food almost very time I went there. It gets annoying and disturbing when you went there for a nice lunch, and you have to tolerate them talking so loud in the kitchen.
China One restaurant
I order there all the time. They are wonderful. This last time a few nights ago was the best. The ribs were huge and yummy. The fun noodles were terrific. The sesame chicken seemed like the oil it was fried in was fresh. The egg fuyoung was nice and fluffy. Only grief is we didnt get enough gravy for it. The food was the best!!!
Bad customer service very rude/unkind. Food wasn’t as good as I expected. Wish I had a better experience since this place is so close to my house.
China A Go Go (S Durango)
One of the best Chinese food I've had! We loved it so much, we had it twice in a one week!
Came in right before they're closed. They were nice enough to take our order for to go. Saw their $5 special bowl, choice of beef broccoli, orange chicken, kungpao chicken and Mongolian beef. We ordered the orange chicken, Mongolian beef and kungpao chicken. They put quite a bit of food in the bowl. The Mongolian beef was good, the beef was tender and the onions and bell peppers were still a little bit crunchy and the sauce was good. The kungpao was pretty good too, lots of crunchy veggies. The orange chicken was our least favorite but it's still good. For $5 I can't complain. Will definitely come back.
Mandarin Garden
Been here several times. Such a local neighborhood mom&pop Chinese restaurant. The owners are so nice and attentive. Some of the hardest workers. They do get busy with the UberEats/TakeOuts so be patient. We ordered the spicy beef noodles, tons of noodle dishes, wonton soup (add noodles), a veggie green bean dish, and chicken wings. SPICY beef noodle is the way to go on a cold night. Quiet spot not rowdy chinese restaurant. Best if you order pickup and take out to eat comfort food in your own home. Highly recommended!!!
Without question the best Chinese food around! Everything is prepared as ordered and all ingredients are fresh and made on the premise. Staff is pleasant and friendly. What a great local, family owned business! Will MOST DEFINITELY return, and often! Thank you for such a delicious meal.and great service!
