Kona Grill - Omaha
I enjoyed a very good meal as a treat at the Kona Grill in West Omaha, Ne. I had the Sweet-Chili glazed Salmon with fried rice, a traditional California roll (cooked), with a Long Island ice-T added with a Captain Morgan spiced Rum...Yum! 😎 Eric as my waiter was Amazing (highly recommend to request him as your waiter) as he is polite, engaged the customers in good ways, and he recommended great tasting foods too. The atmosphere is comforting, and relaxing, with seating options singles to large families. Come out and try this place, I believe you'll come back for more! ✨️😎✨️ P.S.: 😋 i had to try some delish dessert. The one i am enjoying as i write this review is called "Butter cake" with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
First off, food looks beautiful. the red tear drop peppers on the calamari super fresh and wonderful flavor. I want to give this place a lot of grace since it's new, but the price point makes that really hard. (everything we had besides 1 soft drink & 1 tea pictured, final bill was around $230) Calamari rings were rubbery, and the octopus was also a bit over cooked. The sauce was very good & like I said the peppers with it were fantastic. Chicken Satay was dry, but the sauce and slaw very fresh and tasty. The ribs were perfectly done & the fries had a unique seasoning that paired great. $30+ Chicken and ship PadThai the shrip and chicken were cooked perfectly, but the rice noodles were crunchy (underdone) which I know over cooking them makes the slimy but for $30+ I'm going to be picky Chocolate cake was good notes: I love it when places make things fresh, but I was not expecting the full meal to take 2 and a half hours please please please get a leaf blower or big feather duster and attack the rock features around your restaurant. There are sooooo many cobwebs. Service was good, slow, but good. Our server did his best & seemed to be continuously busy. VERY knowledgeable chef & staff i have a severe allergy & it was very nice to feel safe with the food provided & be confident in what I was eating. Thank you very much for that. yall are getting there, I look forward to see how yall do in the future.
