Kitchen 95
FOOD:⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ EVERYTHING ELSE:⭐⭐1/2 Hear me out! First time here and on a first date. I hadn't gone thru the reviews but wanted to try a new spot. Open seating. Small dining area but it's fine. What sucked was WALKING OUTSIDE TO THE BACK OF THE BUILDING TO WASH MY HANDS before eating. That was bananas. It was 11 degrees out mind you. We were brought out paper plates and plastic cups prior to the good coming out...refer to pic. The food was brought out in to-go containers which turned out to be pretty convenient. General Tso’s Chicken: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Flavorful, fresh chicken pieces served with steamed white rice and a couple of FRESH broccoli florets. We asked for more. Chicken and Chili Sauce ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Tender crispy Chicken pieces on top of a bed of slaw drizzled with a really good and spicy chili sauce. 🤌🏾 I've never had anything like this before.
The restaurant was initially operated under Chef Ma's kitchen before this new owner bought it 3 years ago. It was changed to Kitchen 95. The restaurant was a family run business. The parents cooked the food in the kitchen and 2 children were helping out front. The food was typical Chinese with few Taiwanese dishes. The decor was simple and the place was clean. The 3 cup chicken and szechuan beef with leek were flavorful and delicious. The wanton noodle soup was luke warm and average at best. The service was slow. If you are in a hurry, it might be better to order advance so you don't have to wait for a long time. The price was reasonable and the staff were friendly. This is probably not the best place to take your date out, but this is a great place for good Chinese food.
Sun Sing House
I come here to greet the St. Paul sandwiches!! There are so fresh, hot and everything is balanced. Just enough mayo, tomato, and pickle. The salt and pepper is the cherry on top. I always get the shrimp St. Paul.
My parents have been bringing me here since I was a child. They have the best St. Paul sandwiches.
